Things seen on the run part 3!

Let’s be honest, it was a hard day in a lot of ways and not a lot happened besides a run…

So, today’s post is full of random things I’ve seen on the run in the past few months. You can see my previous post like this here and here!

*It’s not every day that I see passion fruit on the ground during the run.

*Waves crashing towards me in the pouring rain!

*Friends walking towards the sprinklers to save them during a hot run.

*When I run with brooke we stop for each and every animal we see along the way and I love it.

*We met this man on a run the other day. He was on mile 29 of 40. He and his kids are all running their ages this year and I thought that was so cool.

*The perfect ice bath setup!

*Women playing Hungarian music on the side of the marathon course.

*Pacers carrying their flags in a backpack…. I’ve only ever seen pacers carry theirs with their hands.

*We saw this man multiple times over the 26.2 miles in Budapest and he made us so happy.

Tell me three things you have going on today!

Happy Saturday, Janae! I hope you have a GREAT day today! The pacing sign backpack is cool! I’ve been a pacer and took turns carrying the sign with my pace team but a backpack seems much easier. I’m in DC this weekend to run my first marathon ever at Marine Corps Marathon tomorrow! My 3 things today are coffee with friends, expo, and carbs!

Right?! I have always wondered how you guys are able to hold those signs, that takes skills! GOOD LUCK TOMORROW! I really hope you let me know how it goes, I’m cheering you on big time. You’ve got this and that sounds like the perfect day. Go celebrate all of your training tomorrow!

I hope today is a better day!
I’m running a 4 mile XC race today.
During one of my runs, I met a guy running 23 miles for his 23rd bday. I could maybe do my age in kilometers. haha

Thank you SO much, Ida! It already is thankfully. I hope your race goes well, let me know after. I did that one year for my 33rd birthday and vowed to never again haha. Happy weekend!

I’m sorry yesterday was hard. Hopefully today is better.
I’ve been running my age, in decimals, for the last several years. So this past summer when I turned 51, I ran 5.1 miles. That’s way more doable than running 51 miles, ha ha.
Today will involve a workout, walking the puppy, cleaning house, then the big adult neighborhood Halloween party. Such a fun event. Sadly my hubby is in PA for the weekend, so I’ll be going solo.
Have a great weekend Janae

Thank you, Wendy! Today is already off to a much better start. I LOVE that you do that, I’m absolutely going to copy you. Have the best time at the party, I want to come next year. I hope he is home soon! Are you dressing up? Happy weekend!

I’m sorry you had a rough day. I hope Andrew is getting a little better each day. 3 weeks ago, my youngest daughter had a major surgery (abdominal) for her Crohn’s. She is doing so fabulous now, and is back at college. The week of her being in the hospital was incredibly hard. It’s very difficult to see someone you love in pain. I don’t think I did anything that week but pray for her to feel better, and was grateful when she would sleep just so she was getting a break. And make sure she was breathing, (I can be a little ridiculous).

Take care of yourself, a big hug to you – it is emotionally hard. I hope today is better :).

Thank you so much, Tracy. I am so glad your daughter is doing so well now and I bet that week at the hospital was beyond hard for you all. Oh I am right there with you, I keep checking his breathing all night because I’m worried about what these drugs are doing. I hope your daughter never has to have that surgery again. Thank you and today is already 10 x better. Happy weekend, friend!

It’s going to be close to 80 degrees here in NY so spending as much time outside before it goes back to the 50’s next week!

Have a great weekend!
