The perfect stocking stuffers for RUNNERS giveaway!

The plus and minus of not getting up when my alarm clock goes off in the morning:

Minus—>  I absolutely love getting my workout done first thing in the morning and finished before I even really realize what I am doing.  With each minute of the day that goes by I get lazier and lazier and less likely to work out.

Plus—–>  I got to run side by side on treadmills at the gym with my sister and talk the entire 8 miles.  I wish you guys got to know her in real life because you would then understand why I go on and on and on about how awesome she is.

The reason it looks like I haven’t seen the light of day for months is because I don’t think I have actually been outside in the daylight longer than running from my car to the gym in months.

IMG 5188

Stretching and talking to my brother on the phone at the same time… multi-tasking at its finest.  She really loves it when I take pictures of her without her even knowing.

IMG 5186

I love adding spinach to my soup as it is cooking to get some move veggies in.  I also really love dipping my Wheat Thins into my soup to get some more carbs and deliciousness in.

I would love to have these! And, Minestrone soup with crackers sounds really good!

I totally need those with this cold spell we’re having!

Hello, Janae and Brooke! I’m a fellow runner-high-school-teacher-single-mom(to Sophie) with cold hands when I run. I always wear random old maroon sweatpants and layers of ripped long johns, but I would feel so fancy with those nice extras.

Reply

I try not to be a baby about cold temps but these brooks accessories would help me suck it up and get out there in single digit weather!!

Reply

I’ve never tried arm warmers, but I’ve been wanting to. They seem like they’d be perfect for Las Vegas weather where it gets a bit chilly, but not really.

I also really need a new pair of running mittens. I lost mine somewhere on my trip to Memphis this past week for the St. Jude Memphis Marathon that I didn’t get to run because it was cancelled.

Reply

I could eat soup all winter long. Also thanks for the giveaway.

Reply

I seemed to have lost ONE of my running gloves in the past week… at least I still have one glove left to wipe my nose with!

Reply

Although the snow is beautiful I miss warm sunny days!

Your updates about Utah weather puts San Diego to shame…people are FREAKING out because it is 40 F out! I haven’t seen people this bundled up in a long time. I didn’t even know stores in San Diego sold parkas (kidding). But hey, it’s not our fault we are weather spoiled… ;)

Reply

These would be so fun to win! I bought that soup this week and can’t wait to try it!

As a sidenote, can I just say that I love that you’re one of the only bloggers I know who still does classic “comment to enter the giveaway” posts. I know that bloggers have to get their name out there and usually the product their giving away too, so I understand, but I love that you don’t have things like “Like me on facebook, tweet this giveaway, subscribe, like them on facebook, etc.” I appreciate and love that you seem so laid back with this! It makes the giveaways way more fun to me. :)

Reply

I could use some cold weather gear!

It snowed this morning and iced some too, so no running outside for me. I’m gonna try running on a treadmill for the first time in my short six months of running so far.

When you have children and no one to watch them while you run, you are forced to be creative. On my morning runs I run around my block like a bazillion times (10 times around is 3 miles) so that I can pass my children every couple of minutes. Usually my 8 year old yells to me from my bedroom window telling me everything and anything he can think of like… what is happening on the tv or that I should run faster, when I am going to be done, what can he have for breakfast, not to worry he is watching his sister… etc….Motherhood and running, could life get any better.

Reply

I read your blog all the time but rarely comment. Thanks for a fun giveaway and you have inspired me to run so many times. Your blog is very motivational to me!

Reply

My husband and I have just started running together and this would be great to win!

I’m just about to strat marathon training in ernest (first speed session tonight!). I’d love some fun new accessories!

Reply

It’s so much easier to get outside and run when you have new stuff! :)

Reply

This is an awesome give away! I like your sister a lot because she is wearing the wave rider! That color was crazy (I had the same one X5!), but that is what runners are so it fits :)

Reply

I LOVE Brooks!! I have a new pair of Ghosts that i haven’t worn yet because its been so rainy in GA i don’t want them dirty instantly.

Reply

I HATE running in the cold. Maybe these things would help? I hope so!

Reply

I’ve been wondering about the arm warmers. I’ve hand them in my hand, but didn’t pull the trigger. Love these cold weather goodies and they are super fun colors :)

Reply

Even though I now live in Arizona, it feels COLD here to me now, so the armwarmers would be amazing :)

Reply

I do the same thing (adding veggies) when I eat canned soups…it makes me feel better about not actually cooking! We are going through a cold snap here and that gear would make running in the cold less awful!

Reply

I can’t believe I’ve turned into someone who checks the weather to plan runs, but I totally do! And since it is frigid in Nebraska this week, I desperately want a pair of gloves to run in!

Reply

You are cool.

Reply

Of course I would love gear, but right now I could go for a big cup of hot chocolate!

Reply

These would be awesome! I don’t own any cold weather running gear so in Dec – Feb I freeze! Random: my marathon this past Sunday was cancelled due to ice. I am so sad!

Reply

How awesome!! Fantastic giveaway, girl!

Reply

I am in need of some cold weather running gear! I am running my 2nd marathon in January and it would be great to have some arm warmers. I hope I win!

Ha – I actually have those mittens! But the headband matches my coat exactly so obviously I need it :) and I do not have any armwarmers, so I would love to win!

Reply

I LOVE YOUR BLOG! IT IS AMAZING AND BROOKE IS JUST THE CUTEST!!

Reply

I haven’t gotten to run outside since last Thursday! It’s cold, icy and still snowy in Oklahoma. 9 degrees this morning was when I say it’s too cold. 22 with 25mph winds last Thursday was my limit. :-)

Reply

I’d love to try the mittens. Gloves never seem to keep my hands as warm as mittens do.

Reply

Spinach in soup is the best! As long as the stems are removed… Those are just gross

Reply

Would love some mittens!

Reply

I love your eating tips. I have been eating four ingredient salad wraps for lunch and now will try this spinach in the soup. Thank you. And, my hands get so cold and I lost a running glove so long ago!

Reply

Ohh, those mittens look nice and warm!

I’m just gonna tell you how much your blog makes a bright spot in my day. All your smiling faces and funny stories make my work afternoon go by just a little faster!

Reply

I would love a treadmill and a place in my apartment to keep one. I HATE having to get myself to the gym during freezing cold Michigan winters. It’d be so nice to just run at home!

Reply

I would love to have those arm warmers! i’ve been wanting to give them a try for a while now! I love winter and snow… but i’m a big baby when it comes to cold weather and even though once i get started it’s not so bad, it’s always hard to get out the door.

Reply

Brooke is the perfect clothing and accessory model : ) I have zero legit cold weather gear. You would laugh at the stuff I scrounge up to run in in the cold.

Reply

After being iced in for 5 days, those arm warmers would be greatness!

Reply

I’m so glad I found your blog. It’s inspiring, useful and makes me happy when I read it. Love that! :)

Reply

Morning running is always the best! Charges me up for the day! I love the arm warmers… wearing them always makes me feel so professional, haha.

Reply

The mittens would be great!!

Reply

Janae I haven’t been outside longer than that for the last two weeks either because it is FRIGID here in Minneapolis! I am missing my early morning outside runs with my friends so. much. I wish I had a sister and a treadmill to make up for it!!

Reply

Oh man, I could really use those in this weather. It’s cold outside.

Reply

I have always wanted to try arm warmers as the weather in Ohio has extreme ranges (although not like Utah!).

I am training for my first full marathon and I could really use some cold weather gear! Love your blog!

Reply

I’d love the arm warmers! It’s so cold for running now!

Reply

I love soup and all kinds…Brooke is adorbs!!!!

Reply

It’s beginning to get colder and colder out here in Maryland and instead of keeping warm by putting on the extra pounds from all the Ghiradelli Intense Dark Sea Salt Soiree I’ve been eating (it’s so amazing) I’d rather be out there running with some cold weather gear training for the Colorado Marathon in May (and then eating the chocolate after)!

Reply

Anything I want? Where do I begin?
1) To win this giveaway so I can triumph against the cold when walking a mile to and from class and so I can get outdoors and run bc treadmill running only goes so far.
2) I would love for dead week and finals week to be over.
3) I would love a new GPS watch
4) I would love to run a sub 4hr marathon.
5) did I mention I would love to win this giveaway? :)

Happy Training!

I want those gloves:)

Reply

Why do I feel like I need these arm warmers more than any of the other 1,500 people who have commented? That’s easy. Every runner who runs in arm warmers immediately feels and looks and probably is 10x faster. boom! :)

Reply

I want to run a sub 3:30 marathon but I will take some cold weather gear to continue to train during winter :)

Reply

yum minestrone soup. could go for some of that right now.
also have been loving brooks running stuff lately.

Reply

LOVE the 3 in 1 utopia mittens!! My hands always get so cold! Sometimes I run with handwarmers in my gloves (or sometimes just handwarmers when it’s not too cold out) and just toss them when I warm up. Works well! These mittens look awesome though!! Would love to win them!

Reply

I’ll have to start my marathon training for the New Jersey Marathon soon so I really need those gloves… and the arm warmers… and the head band! It’s already snowing here in NYC!

Reply

I add spinach to my soup tooo!!

Reply

I need a pair of running mittens! It’s been so cold in Michigan lately and my usual running gloves are just not doing a good job keeping my fingers warm.

Reply

I totally agree with you about the working out early or it doesn’t happen. I love to get to the gym and back before my family wakes up – nothing makes you more ready to face the day than to have that checked off your list already. Thanks!

Reply

I am a newbie runner training for my first 5k. I am married to a crazy runner who got me interested in running. I love the arm warmers idea. I now live in a cold climate (although we do not get the snow like Utah). Love your blog. Found it through another blog.

Reply

I could definitely use some warm running gear out here on the East Coast.

Reply

I would love the mittens. The gloves I currently have are about an inch too long on each finger and it’s driving me crazy. I looked at the mittens over the weekend and they were $50 in the running store. I loved them but it was time for shopping for everyone else, not myself. :(

Reply

I try to tough out weather and not let it affect my runs. Then again I do live in San Diego so I don’t have TOO much to complain about..especially looking at all of the snow Utah is getting!!

Reply

I NEED this gear!! Nebraska winters are predictably unpredictable and these would come in SO handy. I’ve been holding off on buying winter gear as it IS Christmas and I DO have 5 kiddos to shop for =) I hope I win, thanks for doing this (Brooks and Janae)!! =)

Reply

Moving from NC to OH next month and the arm warmers would be perfect for some cold winter runs :)

How can it be that i never find my mittens… By now i should own about 50 pairs of h&m gloves…. Just wished I knew where they were .. I dont think that would happen with “real” running mittens!

Reply

These would be great motivation to get off the treadmill and back outside!

Reply

I’m entering especially for the arm Warmers :) but it all looks awesome. I like dipping crackers in soup, too.

Reply

I want the hook up – holla if you hear me

Reply
