I had to do chores yesterday.
I finally had to clean out my closet of stuff that was still at my parents house. I guess I am supposed to grow up a little and finally donate my dolls, Goosebumps books and Polly Pockets since I don’t use them that often anymore. At least I found my baby blanket, which I will be keeping.
We took a break for dinner. Sugar snap peas, green beans and lasagna.
We were all still hungry after that and so we made some rolls and that did the trick of filling us up.
Back to work, sorting through everything. 1/10th of my barbie collection.
Some of my favorite books and movies from when I was little….sad thing is that movie still is on my top 5 list. I was also really into collecting baseball cards and had a full binder of them, hopefully they might be worth something now;) I also found three dollars hidden in my Snoopy book which made me happier than it should have.
My first ipod ever which is actually the same size as my phone now.
I found the coolest thing ever…..my bff in high school and I made a list of 110 of our goals. Please take note of number 31, I better get there SOON.
Other memorable goals from the list: Learn how to swallow fire, dance on the beach in our wedding dresses, invent a watch that doesn’t leave a tan line, interrupt a faculty meeting while wearing kilts (we were weirdos, that is for sure), be asked to write a letter of recommendation, reinstate the Mayan calendar (?!?!), sneak out at night (sorry mom) and hand out leis at the Hawaiian airport. I now understand why we didn’t have very many friends.
Goal 110 stated to accomplish all of these goals before the age of 37 and 3 months.
The last treasure to be found was a blown up picture of me after my mom woke me up from a nap. Billy made sure to let everyone know that this is still my daily wake up face.
And because this post is already way longer than you signed up for….we will talk about dessert time in a few hours.
Do you remember any of your goals as a teenager?
