I know you were all worried sick about me because I didn’t do an afternoon post yesterday but my afternoon was spent having a 3 hour nap followed by watching 3 episodes of Glee (just found out that 2nd season is on Netflix instand watch). For each marathons my recovery has been very different. For NYCM I wasn’t sore but I have needed as much sleep as an infant.
It is totally normal to use your marathon finisher thermal blanket as your nap blanket. Besides that weird quirk….I only use pillows 40% of the time. When I lived in Hawaii I didn’t bring a pillow and was too lazy to buy one and just got used to not sleeping with a pillow.
Onto important things…….ya know my aunt that is a hardcore marathoner and triathlete?!?! She understands how important this stuff is to me and threw a surprise congrats on NY party.
I introduce you to our new bedroom art work.
She asked her friends from New York about exactly what she should make and the right type of hotdogs to buy for dinner.
There was definitely a second slice of pizza for me, when will they start making larger plates;)
And for dessert, New York Style cheesecake. Extra creamy.
I am hoping my medal display looks like my aunt’s someday (she started racing pre-medals and so this isn’t all of her races) and she wants to do NY with me next year!
