Thankfully, yesterday’s run felt much better than Monday’s run. We completed ten miles @ 8:30 pace and have a speed workout on the schedule for today. We are doing hilly 1k repeats (.62 miles), which are a weakness for me because I usually do them at the same pace I want for my goal marathon pace;). I’m going to work on that short, fast speed today, but I’m also going to cover my watch with some tape so I don’t stare at it the whole way questioning my marathon goals:)
Just me and Lauren holding up our watches to the sky (spelling sky without an ‘e’ at the end is nearly impossible for me) while waiting for the GPS to connect… our watches were taking forever yesterday.
A bit later on, I went to therapy. I’ve gone to therapy off and on ever since college, and currently I go every other week to an amazing woman. My favorite quote from her (among many) is to ‘stop shoulding myself.’ I repeat it to myself whenever I think I need to be doing/being more.
Andrew is not mad about the fact that Halloween decorations are already out… September 1st is his day to go crazy in the front yard with all the decorations.
Time to check off a workout that tests me… I’m going to get comfortable with some suffering.
Does anyone else have/had a therapist that they love?
Best water bottle, in your opinion? Do you ever drink from cups?
-I feel like the only time I use a cup is at a restaurant ha, I have a water bottle with a straw everywhere I go.
