Brooke thought she scored the lottery with frosting (it was really yogurt but she was positive it was frosting) for breakfast.

Brooke is so cute with her pancake! What a good idea! The pizza also looks delicious! Obviously,HM training is making me hungry ;-) My plan for today is spin class this morning and tonight, I am making Easter Diner for the family. 14 miles long run scheduled for tomorrow morning… I’ll be in bed pretty early. Have a great day!

That is a cute pancake! You guys really scored big with those free pizza cards.

I did a half marathon 3 weeks ago, and my longest run since then has been 8 miles. I took it easy for a few weeks and now I am building back up for another half I have the first weekend in June. The weather for the half I ran was perfect, but since then pollen has been at crazy high levels (you can see it in the wind, and it’s leaving everyone’s car tinted yellow) which makes it a little difficult to run without choking on pollen. I hope it fades a bit soon!
Hope you guys have a great Easter!

Working 12-6 this afternoon so planning on getting a run in this morning. My longest run recently was a 10K last weekend. It’s taking me a while to build my mileage back up after my last half marathon!

Brooke’s pancake and your pizza look amazing! And they are making me hungry! Guess it’s breakfast time :)

How do you make a bunny shaped pancake? That baffles me.

Saturday it rained all day (I’m ahead of time in Australia)- we spent some time at the swimming pool for the kids swimming lessons, bought some new Easter eggs at the shops (the ones I had bought for Easter miraculously disappeared last night…) and just chilled out at home.

My longest run since my half marathon 2 weeks ago will be tomorrow 1hour 30min. I hope that the rain will stop for a while, just long enough for that long run. I do not like getting wet feet while running.

I’ll be doing 10 miles today which is the longest I’ve done in a long time so I’m pretty excited. The weather should be nice too!
Brooke’s facial expressions basically sum up how I feel most of the time haha

Reply

I’m almost 18 weeks pregnant, so the longest run I’ve done recently is five miles. I am excited to get back into my longer runs this month! Have a great run fourteen miles today! Also, I love how much Brooke loves her cousins- so priceless!

My last marathon was 2 weeks ago. The longest I’ve run since is 7 miles, but I’m hoping for double digits today! I need to get back to training because Grandma’s Marathon is in a few months!

haha yep ini bed by 10 for mw last night. heading out now for a 14 miler now and starting to listen to “Limetown” podcast. I hear it’s an incredible fiction story! :)

We are in New Mexico for a marathon tomorrow so today is a pretty relaxing day – exploring a bit, check out the race location and sleep and food.

Good luck on your long run today!

Those pancakes are the cutest idea ever especially the yogurt part! I need to make those for myself. Today in heading to spin class!

Reply

Good luck on your long run! The farthest I’ve run since my half marathon PR at the start of March is 10 miles. I need to pick up that distance a bit because marathon training begins in 3 short weeks!

I am sitting at the airport waiting for a flight home to Colorado! We have fun Easter weekend plans with the whole family.

Coloring Easter eggs with my brothers family we haven’t seen in 2 years and the. An Easter egg hunt with my entire family (over 100 people, were huge). If I can I’m planning on a run in between that and the women’s conference. It would maybe be awesome to go to the gym and watch that while I run, but at the moment I ant run that long. Maybe for the October one.

Good luck on your long run! My plans for today include a run, going with my mom to get fitted for running shoes (!!), coffee with a friend and then dinner with my dad later!

Reply

Hope you have a great long run this morning! I’m up to 14, but not really training for anything but a couple half’s that I’m not really racing!

Those pancakes are SO cute what a great idea!

I’m going to the Auto Show at the Javits Center here in NYC today. I’m really excited!

How is the search for a dog going??

I love dogs but can’t have one. I want more puppy people to live vicariously through!!

Reply

The search has been on hold for a bit once I realized I have 6 trips over the next 3 months to go to! Once that slows down then we are going for it and you will get all of the puppy pics possible. I hope you get to have a dog in the future!

I ran 14 this morning which I think is longer than I’ve gone in a little bit. Enjoy you run today!

Reply

Oh my.. that photo of the dance party is pretty cute :)

At the peak of my training so finished a 21 mile run last week and tapering a tiny bit this week for a 30k race next week! Means 11.5 mile plans for today!

Would be great if you could write a post on how you balance strength training with running. I am starting to really enjoy strength training but find that it takes awhile to recover so I can’t go as hard in my running workouts.

Reply

Oh that is a great post idea!! I am totally trying to figure that out too so I’m sure we will get some great comments! Expect it soon and I hope you had a beautiful 11.5 miles today!

Reply

Brooke’s little face with the pancakes!! Haha so darling!

My longest run in the past little while was yesterday and it lasted 15 minutes. Running during these last few weeks of pregnancy has not been my jam haha

Reply

I’m hiking/brunch for my friend’s birthday this morning, baking a cake for my dad, and celebrating my dad’s birthday tonight.

Hope you have a great day! I plan to finally run tomorrow morning, about 3 miles.

Reply

Cutest pancake!! And that pizza looks amazing.
I just finished my first ever 17 miles in preparation for my first marathon… I’m a little surprised and my calves and feet aren’t sure what to do with themselves haha.
Have a great run!

AHHHH CONGRATS FIONA on your 17!! What is your first marathon going to be?

Reply

I ran a half-marathon last week and I have another in a few weeks. Today was 5 miles and it felt tough. I put it down to being sick this past week and just tired from that and the 1/2.

Brooke looks so pleased to be with her cousins. I was really close with mine, in fact we still are pretty close.

I really want pancakes, bunny shaped is a cute bonus.

Reply

Your kids are adorable. I love the bunny pancake.

Reply

I get a chuckle that you think 10 is an early bedtime when I’m in bed at 8.

Reply

Oh 8 pm bedtime sounds so great to me today! I usually end up working past midnight so 10 is an accomplishment these days:) Hope you are having a beautiful weekend Amanda!

Reply

Swim practice, 4 miles, and road trip to mom’s house for Easter!

Reply

That’s so cool how much time Brooke gets to spend with her cousins and you with your nieces and nephews! My brother lives in Chicago but I’m really hoping he’ll move back so our kids can have the same.

Ran 20 miles today, but the longest I ran prior was 14. Woof. Feeling the BURN. ??

Reply

WAY TO GO MARIA!! You rocked it!!! I hope you get plenty of relaxing in today!

Reply

16.25 miles has been longest so far!
Saturday plans are celebrating my bday with my family back in Ohio & looking at wedding venues!

Reply

Ran 14 this morning in preparation for some Halfs in April and May. I have been running 13 or 14 pretty much every Saturday (except for cut-back weeks) since February for this training plan.
I had an Easter lunch with my parents today, we have been having cornish hens for holidays lately, since I work on Easter. My job is letting me leave work and attend church and then return to work on Sunday so I’m pretty happy about that.
Happy Easter!!

I love the bunny pancake!

Today was a short run (5 miles) followed up a private Pilates reformer lesson and then housecleaning. Now we are relaxing at Whole Foods drinking wine and eating.

My longest run recently was a half marathon; tomorrow I must run 15-16 miles to prep for next week’s 30K (severely undertrained for it).

Happy Easter!

Reply

For once we don’t have Easter plans tomorrow since my sister and her family are headed to Disney. It might be a bunny pancake kind of morning for my little.

No rest for the weary with a back to back marathon. A marathon 3wks ago followed by an 18miler 5 days later. One more 20mi training run then taper time! Honestly I’m looking forward to leisurely running again after Big Sur.

Happy Easter to you and Brooke!

Longest run since my marathon last year was today – a half marathon, AND I PRed! :)

I’ll be in bed before 10 tonight

Reply

I did 15 today! Longest run I’ve done since the Boston Marathon last year! I also take a longggg time to build back up, especially if not training for something specific, there’s no chance of going over 10 miles.

Reply

I did my long run yesterday 20km – building up for my marathon.
Last night (Saturday night) we went out for teppanyaki for a friends birthday which was awesome. Lots of fried rice and omelette literally thrown onto our plates by talented japanese chefs!

Today is Sunday we are lounging around eating hot cross buns and chocolate for Easter. My mum also spoiled me and bought me a kindle! My old one died so I’m going to spend this afternoon buying books for it. Such an affordable easy way to read new books so keep up your reccs which you find good ones . Xx

That pancake is too cute!

That bunny pancake is awesome!

This week I opted to do six same-length runs (of about 6-7 miles) and not to save up some miles for a longer run. It’s probably not the best for improvement, but I really need my daily running hit on greedy weekends like this one.

(Although…er…it’s 10.30am in the UK, and I have yet to receive an Easter Egg).

Reply

How on Earth do you manage to make a bunny-shaped pancake? Curious minds need to know!

I actually ran my longest run ever today, 10.1 miles! My first half marathon is next month, it’s pretty cool to break a new distance PR every week. ;)
