I do this weird thing where I stress out big time about being on time to the airport for a flight. Yesterday I was especially stressed to get there on time because I never know when and where there will be traffic in California. There was zero traffic from my aunt’s house to Oakland and everything went smoothly which resulted in us getting past security 2.5 hours before our flight left. Cool.
We decided that a sit down breakfast in the airport would be a great way to fill up some of that time. Nothing wrong with a little Chilis to start your day off right.
Brooke watched Alice in Wonderland on the plane and I did some typing and before we knew it, we were back to Utah. Brooke has the flying thing down since she goes back and forth to California so often to see her dad.
My sweet mom picked us up at the airport and had this waiting in the car for me. My runner’s passport came in the mail!! Remember last year when I decided to run a marathon after only pool running for a solid 5 weeks leading up to the race… yeah, that marathon hurt really bad. I am glad I am road running this time around before the marathon.
I had about a 10 minute debate with myself yesterday about whether I should have an egg sandwich or an almond butter and jelly sandwich for dinner. This is what I call compromise.
After dinner we were picked up to go on a date to get our favorite.
FYI I don’t talk when I am eating ice cream. I get down to business. I will talk afterwards but I get in the zone and need to just focus on my bowl of goodness.
It’s that time of year to start eating all of your meals and desserts outside.

Have you tried this stuff before? It makes my skin feel so much better.
A few people asked what my friend Jess put in the bags for her Bridesmaids. It was amazing—> A bag with our initials, a robe with our initials, a ring, necklace, a really sweet note and her mom’s famous huge homemade chocolate chip cookies. It literally felt like Christmas morning.
Time to get my last 12 x 800m speed workout done before Boston! Hoping these ones will be the fastest ones yet.
