7 things that made me happy and THE thing that will motivate you to RUN!

1.  This shirt from I Am Funny Shirts.  Amazing.  My favorite.

2.  This face.  I swear that her little personality is coming out more and more every hour and she is hilarious.  She also said doggy yesterday about a trillion times.

3.  Bangs Friend (NOT happy that she left) and I just happened to have the perfect amount of time to get this heavenly waffle to eat before I dropped her off at the airport.

4.  I got to go on a drink run with Heather and her two little boys.  She is a pump (along with every other class at the gym) instructor and is tempting me into getting back into pump again…

5.  I saw this amazing video last night and it made me want to put my running shoes on and go for a run even though I was already sore from my tempo run.  

6.  Salad mountains and doughy (we ask for them that way) bread twists  with a bf.  Don’t even ask why Brooke’s shoe is on the table and don’t ask why I didn’t notice it was on the table until I got home and I was looking at this picture.

Brooke and I are kind of in a fight because she was carrying around the remote control yesterday and now I can’t find it anywhere.  I was not able to watch Parenthood (you can’t turn on Netflix without the remote) late at night like I usually do.  I have a feeling I will be thanking her this morning on my early run when I am not exhausted from staying up super late watching tv.

Reading this blog makes me happy EVERY day. Seeing Brooke’s face and hearing your thoughts and wishing I could run like you. Also yesterday I colored with crayons and it was pretty cool.

Ok I was going to say coloring with chalk… With and then without my son (he got bored and moved in and I was having a blast so kept going haha). It’s like therapy!

Maple Syrup and Blueberries are the best toppings! I can’t deal with whip cream on pancakes, that’s probably the only sweet thing where I’d rather skip the whip.

Never been to body pump, it’s weightlifting? Sounds tough!

Two things that made me happy yesterday: impromptu office lunch with my husband and one year old and my son having learned how to give “kisses” this past weekend. Open mouth, drool everywhere but they’re the best!

I LOVED body pump when I used to go. I quit the gym because it seemed silly to pay that much when I could just run outside, but I do miss pump a lot.

Two things that made me happy: Mike showed me a fun logic quiz on Sporcle and I went for two long walks with my dog.

Decorating the outside of our house for Halloween and taking eddie munster the mutt on a walk made me happy!

The best waffle toppings…that is such a hard question.

Are we going for a dessert waffle? Then hands down ice cream, caramel and fudge would win.

But if we are gong for a normal breakfast waffle then syrup, peanut butter of yogurt would win. Oh and fruit is always good too.

Yesterday I got in an ab AND arm workout and got a whole lot of work done both personally and around the house! Overall a productive day!

I’m kind of still in recovery and not training for anything right now so I’m trying to incorporate more cross training instead of lots of running. I think today’s an at home boot camp day instead of a run!

I miss Body Pump so much! That was my favorite class at the gym and then I moved and there are no gyms here.

I sent my sister flowers in NYC to be delivered today!! That made me happy!!
I also got a great weight lifting session in onmy day off from running.. that makes me happy as well :)

Love body pump! I go about once a week- All limbs are basically jello after an hour of body pump. I am also very jealous of the 70 year old jacked instructor. Who has 3x the amount of weight on her bar!

I love BodyPump – I have been going 2-3 times a week for 2 years and I recently just got certified to teach BodyPump! Love it.

Just getting to sit and talk with my mom for an hour or so, and being able to watch some of my shows, when I didn’t think I was going to be able to :) The bomb smoothie I’m going to make when I’m done is helping me wake up for my run haha. Powder sugar and syrup are my favorite things to put on waffles or pancakes!!

Oh man this is making me miss Denmark SO MUCH. They had waffles with gelato on top and whipped cream, fudge, and a chocolate covered marshmallow thing. I could go on forever but I honestly ate one at least three days a week while I was there. Brooke’s face makes ME happy. I wish I could go to body pump but I don’t have time to go to the gym since my workouts have to start by 5am to get to my internship. It’s such a good cardio and strength workout and for something that hates strength, the cardio and good music makes it bearable.

Two things that made me happy yesterday: waking up in my own bed after being on the road for about a week and spending a chilly evening on the couch with a blanket, hot chocolate, and a good book. And I’m almost ashamed to admit that I don’t think I’ve ever had waffles ‘n whipped cream, but it sounds kind of amazing. Putting it on the to-eat list.

Yesterday I submitted my nursing school application, and then I came home and had a nice afternoon with my kiddos. My little girl is getting fearless and is letting go while standing and balancing, and my son’s reading and writing is improving daily! I’m not ready for them to be so grown-up yet!

How about 4 things that made me happy yesterday as well… I like the number 4?

1. Seeing a rainbow after we did some errands.

2. Finding a shirt for 50% off at the thrift store for Susanna’s Halloween costume. (Hello, 91 cents!)

3. Burning a ton of stuff at our new place. Yes, I love my ability to build, start, and maintain a huge fire in crazy winds and rain!

4. Seeing my hub get his office set up. Man has work to do!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it a million times over. You have got THE cutest little girl ever! I *need* to have waffles for breakfast tomorrow now – can’t think of anything else. What motivated me to run is a little strange. When I run barefoot on the treadmill I have beautiful soft supple feet afterwards. Weird I know, but it motivated me this morning. x

1) Coconut/cocoa mousse and watching A Late Quartet after work
2) Never heard of body pump but I try to get to a Jillian Michaels class 2x a week
3) I like my waffles crunchy and plain – just de-licious VT maple syrup.
4) It was beautiful out! I <3 running in the crisp fall air. And my dogs needed to burn off some energy. Thumbs up all around for 6 am run! ;)

What?! Brooke, Parenthood is a great show. Someday you’ll understand. Give the remote back to your mom. Please and thank you. Seriously I love that show. Also, I always know it’s close to the end of the episode because something that happens makes me cry. EVERY episode! It’s ridiculous.

Yesterday I was approved to get Clomid for my infertility issues! :D (BIG YAY!) and I made brownies. So both of those things made me happy!

I just watched last week’s Parenthood episode last night and it was so good, I’m so glad that show is back. Brooke is so cute, I have probably said that 50 times but she is.

My daughter and my run made me happy yesterday :).

My usually terrible class was really good! (I teach 10th grade English) & we found 805 at Costco. It’s a semi-local beer and it’s delicious.

I used to do pump when I didn’t have a full time job :( I miss the camaraderie of the gym gang.

Ice cream is definitely the best waffle topping!

I actually did a pool run this morning with my bff, who is injured. It was cold but fun since it was something different.

two things that made me happy yesterday: the boyfriend came home from running an errand with a bowl of ice cream for the two of us to share, and I tried zumba and managed not to trip over my own feet. I definitely consider that a victory :-p

The best waffle is pecan with butter and syrup on top. Hands down. My foster kitty made me extremely happy yesterday–he’s a little snuggle bug! Also, this is a silver lining kind of happy, but I’m grateful that I got in two hours of overtime at work. I’ll be really happy when that paycheck comes!

I used to order a Belgian waffle topped with frozen yogurt at the diner. That was always a good time. For breakfast though I love it with syrup, bananas, strawberries and whipped cream….peanut butter of course would go nice too!

Shake out run with my dog. She is getting older, so shake out runs with her are about all she can do these days, but she looks like a pup again when I take her.

My run yesterday and the beautiful weather after work for a walk made me happy! I used to go to Body Pump regularly. It’s been over a year since I’ve been to class, and I’m set to make my return this Friday! I’m a little nervous, I remember that first class ever soreness.. hoping to get back into the groove of it!

Two things made me happy yesterday: My brother’s girlfriend’s little boy giggling and Chipotle putting extra quac on my salad for free. My motivation to run today was the hope of brighter future and faith in my surgeon.

Best waffle topping is filling the little ditches with melted peanut butter.

The little boy I used to nanny for ALWAYS said “dog”. It was the CUTEST thing so I bet Brooke is adorable saying it too!! I ran 7.5 miles yesterday, which is the farthest I ran since my half marathon back in JUNE! That’s crazy!

I love body pump!! I try to go 3x a week for sure….but, I have been super lazy with other cardio and my eating ~ YUK! ~ so I need to figure out what is causing this slump I am in and get my groove on.

Two things that made me happy yesterday–a call for a potential job opportunity and my workout

I used to take Body Pump all the time but I haven’t been lately. One of my goals for October is to add that back into my workout routine.

I just like butter and syrup on my waffles…boring huh? Lol

What motivated me to run yesterday was the fact that it was day 1 of my 10k training program with Monica @ Run Eat Repeat!

My dogs excitement when I get home from work always puts a smile on my face and makes me laugh. He jumps around you and when you go to reach for him he starts dodging you and it becomes this whole game with him as he runs quickly all around the house and comes running past you dodging you constantly with this huge smile on his face- that will always make me happy and also the weather- it’s cooled off and starting to feel like Fall in Georgia!

I LOOOVE bodypump, I go 3 times a week. It’s such a fun, motivating class and will get me to work out harder with weights than I normally would have on my own since I used to mainly rely on running for my workouts

2 Things that made me happy yesterday: Spin class & Apple pie at work!

I have never tried Body Pump but I have been meaning to. Maybe it will happen this week.

This morning I was motivated to run by thinking about how stressful the rest of my day will be and that running would be a great way to start and hopefully reduce my stress.

Yesterday, my hubby and I both took off work because we’d been away from each other at different races all weekend! We never get a whole day to hang out so we went to the movies (Prisoners was awesome, btw!) and out to dinner. :)

Today I am motivated to run because I hit the wall SO HARD at my half on Sunday and I am only 6 weeks out from my first 26.2 and need to get myself in gear!

Things that make me happy are sunshine and good health!

I teach BodyPump at a gym here in Chicago so I do BodyPump around 3x week. Its the BEST and usually I make the day extra awesome by running *to* the class that I teach. Great workouts combined :)

Syrup or honey = best thing on waffles. I eat waffles very rarely, but when I do its more like a waffle with my syrup…oops!

Today, the thing that’s motivating me to run is reading your blog (it always helps to hear about other people’s runs to motivate me for my own!) and the gorgeous weather that we’re having. Also, so many of my friends are training for the Chicago Marathon here in a couple weeks so that’s really getting me jazzed about my runs.

Two things that made me happy:
1) Dinner with one of my Mom’s best friends
2) Sharing a triple berry crumble a la mode with her.
3) Bonus! Snuck in a quickie 2.5 mile run before dinner.

I love looking at all your pictures of Brooke!!
I used to go to Body Pump 2x a week but as I got into higher mileage of marathon training I stopped. I still try to lift weights but I feel like I need to modify to lighter weights while I am running a lot.
I was motivated to run this morning by thinking about how good I feel once I am out there and when I am done!
