One of the many coolest parts about having a running coach is that I am emailed my exact workouts. At midnight every night an email is sent to me about my workout for that day which means that I don’t even have to think about what I should do, it is all there for me. Once I complete the activity I fill in my post-activity notes on the website so my coach can see how it went.
This morning I did the rowing and runners core video (it was about 11 minutes) but I am saving the pool running for tonight. I am saving that workout for tonight because there are clouds in the sky and so that means my apartment pool is even colder than normal and heaven forbid I be outside in the rain so I will wait for Billy to get home so I can go to the gym to swim.
PS running was pushed back to Saturday just to be extra safe so now I am even a million times more excited for this weekend.
How I don’t get bored on the rower:
I just set my iPad up on the side of the machine and watch an episode of Glee. PS I am still trying to convince Billy (he isn’t convinced?!) that I need to buy a used rower on Craigslist to put next to my treadmill because it really is a great total body workout.
I am loving leftovers. It makes my super hard life so much easier;)
My beloved cereal was eaten moments later.
I saw the coolest article HERE about how far people run playing different sports. Anytime the word run is in the title of an article, I read it.
Picture from back in my football days, I know you are impressed with my guarding skills. We won.
Basketball– Luol Deng was the NBA player that averaged the most amount of running per game during the 2012 season and he averaged 2.72 miles per game. Most of that sprinting.
Football– The average NFL player runs about 1.25 miles per game…. some of them get going pretty fast though.
Tennis– Most players will run about 3 miles in a 5 set match but some players have even ran more than five miles during the 5 sets.
Baseball– They said that an outfielder that chases balls doesn’t even break half a mile during a game.
Soccer– Most players average about 7 miles a game but have also been tracked to run in one game as much as 9.5 miles.
I guess that means we are all pretty hardcore since we run so much:) We can run farther than those NFL guys that get paid trillions of dollars to play. Us runners, we are awesome.
I forgot to tell you that Brooke got herself a new car seat from Graco! They like her.
She can’t wait, she has kind of outgrown her old one. It is the My Ride 65 LX and she will still be rear facing but then when she is old enough it is a forward facing car seat too!
Any Glee fans? Do you have a favorite character from the show?
Right now… where do your workouts come from? Your brain, a schedule, a coach, a trainer, an instructor?
What sports did you play in high school? Did you run a lot playing that sport?
