My favorite travel buddy and the weirdest cookies.

My brother drove Brooke and I to the airport at about 7 this morning.  There were no lines and we had plenty of time before our flight left so I chose to take Brooke around to all of the different locations in the airport for a photo shoot.

In the family bathroom:

Brooke right outside of the terminal and in case you were wondering, she was growling while I was taking this picture.  The growls are starting to get louder and louder.

My dad packed me not one but TWO pb/j/banana sandwiches just in case we had another flight delay… no flight delay but I decided two sandwiches make a much better meal than just one.  Seriously, he makes the BEST sandwiches.

I forgot to tell you that on my way to Utah I scored a free TCBY in the airport.  I was walking to go get one because I NEEDED ice cream and when I got there it was closed.  They were taking all of the ice cream out of the machine before they cleaned it and offered to give me a free LARGE chocolate cup of goodness.  I was embarrassed that I was happy about the 4 hour flight delay because it meant I got free ice cream.

The next three pictures are from yesterday.   My cute nieces and SIL live in Kentucky and so I rarely get to see them.  Spending the whole day with them yesterday was amazing.

My cousin and I were going to go to the gym but then Curly offered to give us foot massages with no strings attached and we took her up on that offer and skipped the gym.

This is Brooke’s closest in age cousin, they are just two months apart and both love their tongues.

I am warning you that the next picture will probably gross you out so don’t look at it if you get queasy easily.

There is a COOKIE recipe that involves KETCHUP on the back of the ketchup bottle.  I mean I love ketchup but REALLY… in cookies?

That last pic of the babies – ahhhhhhhh
I’m seeing a lot of Billy in Brooke!! :)

I’m ususally flying on our Air Canada airline. I miss the days where you got free blankets/pillows for your comfort, even headphones. EVERYTHING costs these days eh!

I had leftover Chinese food, topped off with a few clementines.

American and Delta are the only airlines that fly out of my town, so I always fly one of them.

I’m visiting my parents, so I’m cooking with my mom tonight, then maybe watching some TV or something.

I usually fly United because they are the cheapest of the two options from our teeny tiny airport. I am intrigued about these ketchup cookies, and also super grossed out. I think I will stick to chocolate chip for now :)

I always fly southwest! And I had a sweet potato and scrambled eggs for lunch… It was all I could stomach since I’m sick.

We are going to a Christmas party at my SILs. We rarely do anything exciting on a Friday night so this is a big deal.

eww! Those cookies sound gross!!

Uhm. I love ketchup, and I love cookies, but I’m not quite sure how I’d feel about combining the two. I’m all for trying new things, but for some reason that just sounds extremely wrong in my mind. I think I’ll stick to putting chocolate chip in cookies, and ketchup on fries :)

ketchup in a cookie? gross.

Brooke is beautiful! Her shirt is perfect.

We had triscuits, cheese, apples, almonds and yogurt for lunch.

I can’t believe how much Brooke looks like Billy? Do other people think that too??

I usually travel Southwest because they’re reasonably priced and have deals pretty often.

I saw the cookie recipe a little while ago and thought is sounded really gross. Seriously of all the recipes and thing you can make with Ketchup and they choose cookies?

Not only is ketchup in cookies gross but PEANUT BUTTER is also an ingredient! That combination is beyond nasty. You should make them as an experiment :)

Glad you arrived back safely. :) Enjoy your weekend!!

I have to fly alone with my 1 month old in 4 days and I am scared!!! I hope she looks as content as Brooke does above!!

Reply

Eww… i can’t even imagine ketchup cookies.

The airline I like to use the most is Jetblue. I took it for the first time this past year and I don’t think I’d ever be able to go back to flying without my own personal tv in the seat. I need something to distract me from all the turbulence!

I love the pics of Brooke. My niece is 18 months and she used to growl all the time too. She used to growl at people at the grocery store. It was so weird and funny!! I love her to pieces!
