What’s Your Style?

Gotta love coming to school with wet hair.  I was shivering all day but I guess that is better than getting fired for showing up with day 10 hair.  I tried to use the air vents in my car to dry it a little but it didn’t exactly work on my 7 minute commute.

Earlier today I had to make a quick trip to Walmart and like I have done for the last 26 years I went down the candy aisle.  It is habit and who can honestly go to Walmart at this time of year without getting Easter candy?  Why am I telling you about this?  Because I only looked at the candy for about 12 seconds before I was distracted by the other side of the aisle…..the wall of chips.

Photo copy 2

Salt and vinegar will always be my favorite but today I NEEDED these.  These Munchies were a college staple and whoever thought of combining the BEST types of chips into one bag is a genius.  I chose chips over Easter candy.  This is getting serious.

Speaking of Doritos, BIlly and his bro tried the new Taco Bell Doritos tacos and they both absolutely loved it.  Next time I go wacko due to hormones I have the perfect apology present.

Going through running magazines, walking through the mall, reading blogs and seeing other runners always makes me want MORE running clothes.  My question for you today is if temperatures didn’t matter what type of running outfit do you prefer the most!

A.  Shorts and a tank with a built in sports bra.

B.  Lightweight tech long sleeve with capris.

Screen Shot 2012 03 28 at 11 06 36 AM

C.  Sports bra with boy shorts. Or any top with boy shorts.

Screen Shot 2012 03 28 at 11 10 42 AM

D.  The Running Skirt and t-shirt or tank

E.  Tempo shorts and a t-shirt.

What has put me in a really good mood all day?  The fact that in approximately 67 minutes I have a track date with Billy.  I love this because it makes me so happy to see him whiz by at 11 mph.  Endorphins plus together time = true happiness.

I’m kind of obsessed with running clothes. It’s bad…because like you, I am a teacher, so my salary does not support my love of buying running clothes.
My favorite outfit is a combination of a few of your options! Capris are my absolute favorite to run in (Nike Dri-Fit capris are my favorites!)…and I love wearing them with some sort of running tank. Now I want to go shopping!!! :)

Reply

Letter B. I have issue with my shorts creeping up between my legs, the skirts are a little too girly for my taste, I am too self conscious to wear just a sports bra, and those tanks with the sports bras built into them don’t give me enough support (not that I have all that much to support).

I live about a mile from my office so my commute is about 20-25 minutes by walking and less than 10 minutes on the bus! My husband and I work for the same firm so we walk to work together, which is nice.

Favorite chip – anything cheese-flavored! Doritos, Cheetos, baked Lays in cheddar flavor, you name it in cheese and I love it!

Reply

T-shirt & shorts – as long as I can go run and be comfortable, I’m okay with it.

Reply

“A” is probably closest to what I like to wear, but it all depends on the weather.
I love wearing boyshorts when I’m playing beach volleyball, it’s the best since I don’t have to worry if my bottom is going to come lose (like when I’m wearing a bikini bottom).. besides, it looks so cute! :D

I’ve tried drying hair in the car with the air vents too, for me it worked since the commute was way longer than 7 minutes! you are lucky :D

Reply

Favourite running gear = Lululemon Speed Shorts in rainbow colours+ either a Lululemon Swiftly LS (B – but in bright colours!) or a Cool Racerback tank. I’m also loving running skirts lately, but Speed Shorts will always be my true love!

Best chips = toss up between Ruffles All Dressed or Lays Salt & Vinegar dipped in Ruffles Ranch dip. Sounds gross but it’s really yummy!!

Reply

F! Running capris and a running (read: sweat -wicking) shirt all the way! i get too self conscious of my thighs in shorts, but capris and a tee is all i need :)

Reply

My Athleta catalog came today and I am obsessing over it! Although I can not bring myself to pay $49 for a tank top.
My favorite is tank/sports bra/capris. OR tank/sports bra/shorts.
Favorite chips are salt and pepper kettle chips. So crunchy. I get excited when I get a really peppery bag.

Reply

I love those Munchies! They are so good. I especially love the flaming hot version. My favorite kind of chip is probably jalapeno or salt and vinegar Popchips (do they count?)
My commute is generally 40 minutes, but I take the train so it’s not bad. Hubby’s is probably about 15 on the way there and 30 on the way back.
I prefer B and E!

Reply

you are so freaking awesome.

loved this:
Endorphins plus together time = true happiness
b l i s s.

I’m picking “C’ – I know…no shock to anyone.

Reply

Ha Ha, you crack me up. I tried using the car vents to dry my hair today after I was super sweaty from working out…I know HOW GROSS. But I needed to run an errand and because I had a kid with me, it’s too hard loading and unloading with her around!
I prefer either A or B. Being in SoCal though, it’s usually at least a tank with a sports bra built in.

Reply

Shorts & a tank fo sho. Although I find tanks always make me chafe and t-shirts don’t. Weird?

Reply

I LOVE chips, and I would be distracted by the chip aisle over the candy aisle any day. Favorites include Cool Ranch Doritos, cheetos, and Chili’s bottomless chips & salsa….yum! {I gave up chips for lent so this is making me really want chips right now!}

My commute is about 12 minutes with little to no traffic, but can be up to 30 min after work during rush hour. I have a straight 6 mile shot to work, but there’s 17 stoplights {not that I’ve counted}.

Definitely D…I’ve become a big fan of running skirts! {I also have a bad habit of buying workout/running clothes when I don’t really need them…}

Reply

Sun Chips. I love Harvest Cheddar, but the hubby and I are obsessed with Jalapeno Jack right now, too. I am not a chip snob though! I love them alllllll.

If I am driving straight to work it takes me 25 minutes, but I almost never drive straight to work — I usually have to drop my husband off at work so it takes a little longer, but his work is on the way to mine. However, more often than not I take a combo of Trax/Bus to get to work since we are a cheap 1 car family and that takes at least an hour.

I think “A” is the closest. I HAVE to wear a tank top or I get way too hot; I don’t love built in sports bras though.

Reply

I am always thinking of new running clothes to buy, even more than ‘regular’ clothes! Both my sweetie and I only have a 5 minute commute. We both work at the same university and live right off campus. P.S. I ran my first race.so.ce my stress fracture and PR’ed! Turns out that year off made me focus on other forms of exercise that made me an even stronger runner! Blessing in disguise! Woohoo!

Reply

Cheetos are my favorite probably followed by S&V.
F (or not quite C): sports bra and shorts. Not by shorts. Ever. I have too much uh
rear for that.
My commute used to be about 3-10 min (depending on time) but with the construction, 10-15 min.
No SO :(

Reply

Funyuns!

Reply

Ok, I’m going to be difficult and have two answers. I LOVE running skirts. I have no good reason, I just do. I think it must be the fact that it is like running in tight spandex, but without showing the whole world everything. But, what I love even more are any cute running clothes that I find on sale. I find lots of cute tanks/ tempo shorts/capris at TJMaxx and Marshalls and those always end up being my favorite until my next ‘find’.

Reply

E! I like to feel covered up top, but I like short shorts. Favourite chips, ETA Spicy Tomato Muncho’s or Bluebird sour cream and chive Grainwaves. Mmmmmm you’re post always make me hungry.

Reply

Definitely letter E on most days but I’d love to try a running skirt and wear one for my first half in June!

Reply

B) but with a Oiselle tee! I’m a team ambassador and love the brand :) also, in regards to your Toms w/holes – check out a fun fix: http://ashleyannphotography.com/blog/2012/02/15/diy-custom-repaired-toms/

Reply

Is it sad that I know that the first pic is the new Lulu “Stuff your bra” tank. Sigh. It’s a problem, I know!

Love speed shorts and a tank when its hot, tights and a t when it’s cooler or skirt and a long sleeve. I’m a weirdo!

Favorite chips? Tortilla- something about the salty with fresh guac rules!

My commute to the kids school is 7 min, to work 15 min. Hubs commute is 35 min. Not too shabby for SoCal!

Reply

I’d go with short sleeve tshirt and long pants. Then I don’t have to worry if I’m freshly shaved ;)

The problem with Munchies in my house is that by the time I get to them, they’re all just pretzels. My husband picks out everything but the pretzels so I’ve never actually had the true Munchies experience. But the pretzels are good, I have to say, and the least bad for me too!

Reply

My fav running “outfit” is a tank top and tempo shorts. I, too, stalk TJMaxx for last season’s shorts and usually find them for $15 or less. Score!

My go-to chip is definitely Doritos, although I just had tortilla chips & salsa from Chipotle and it was YUMMY.

My husband’s commute is three steps from the bed to the computer and completely not far. Mine is at least 45 minutes, but often closer to an hour. The worst part is it’s only 30 miles away… the worst road ever!

Reply

That should say “completely not fair”. Three cheers for poor grammar and not reading the comment before clicking submit :).

Reply

E for sure! I think I only own tempo shorts by now…the rest have all been weeded out.

I <3 Nike tempo shorts so much!

Reply

Tank top with either shorts or capris, and I usually start with a half-zip over it that I can take off.I am a morning runner and it’s usually a little chilly here in CA even in the summer.I *wish* I could wear booty shorts but …idk.My 42 y.o. booty, hmm.
Mmm munchies.Or chex mix!

ps I love your HRG baby post today-good for you.You look beautiful and you are growing a beautiful healthy baby. And that’s what counts!!!

Reply

F. Capri’s and a tank or tee

Also, that bag of munchies is genius.

Reply

Fun post! I’ll go with A.. shorts and a tank but rather than the built in bra, I’d choose a sports bra.
My favourite type of chip depends on my mood.. the other day it was doritos :)

Reply

Chips over candy??? Never!

I choose F: tank and capris :)

Reply

I choose B! I like to be on the covered up side so I prefer cooler weather!

Reply

I’m a t-shirt with tempo shorts kind of girl. I always have been. Unfortunately, my husbands commute to work is an hour without traffic, but even the slightest bit of traffic in the Dallas/Fort Worth area will make it an hour and a half to two hours each way. That is part of the reason we are looking to move closer or just move to Houston, where he can take the Metro Bus System to work.

Reply

I’m an E) kind of girl but the shirt needs to be a tech shirt… I sweat too much to wear cotton anymore (so ladylike!).

My commute is 25 minutes and so is my boyfriend’s because we live and work together… I wish it was shorter!

Your Munchie Mix is making me hungry! Although I’d prefer cheddar and sour cream ruffles… everyday of my life.

Reply

TEMPO SHORTS AND A T-SHIRT!!!! This is what I wear 98% of the time when doing any sort of exercise… or just generally. I only wear capris, running tights, or long sleeves if it’s really cold and I only wear a tank if it’s deathly hot. I have so many old sorority t-shirts I might as well use them! And I have collected about 10 pairs of nike tempo shorts since I discovered them 3 years ago… And that’s on a budget of I make no money.

Reply

D or E but never C. An elderly lady tried to talk me into running in just a sports bra at a marathon I went to in FL, but I wasn’t having it. That area of my body never sees sunlight, so unless I’m spray tanning, which I’m not, that option is out.

Reply

I’m either A or F, depending on the day. I do not own a running skirt or a long sleeve top. No matter cold it is I sweat like a 450lb. hairy man so if it’s cold I start out in a tank and zip up jacket with shorts and by 1.5 miles in the jacket is around my waist or under a bush somewhere so I can pick it up later.

Reply

I’ll take A for the tank and D for the skirt. Although I do like E for the Nike Tempo shorts (my favorite).

Favorite chip: Tortillas hand down. Love the salt and the perfect combination for salsa, guacamole, or hummus.

My commute is about 15 minutes. Hubby’s is 10. Pretty easy.

Reply

I’m an A & E girl. I do like running in capris though.

Reply

Kettle Brand chips are my fave, especially the Spicy Thai flavor mmmmmmm

Reply

D! I recently bought a running skirt and am in love. Next, I’m going to get the tempo shorts. My gym keeps the gym at about 8 million degrees, so the capris that I used to wear are not cutting it (go to gym so that I can use childcare for the kiddos). I don’t know if I would ever have the guts to wear the boy shorts. Ever! Especially with a sports bra. I just don’t see myself ever doing that one…although, I never thought I would be a runner either!

Reply

I’m a shorts and t-shirt kind of girl! Although I do love that Lulu top!

Reply

I would love to be the boy shorts and singlet type of gal, and I get to be when I race in the summer. But since I live in Washington I spend most of my time in the capri’s and long sleeve shirt.

Reply

I ran my first half in that Lulu long sleeve shirt – I love it! Then again, I love any shirt/jacket/sweater with thumb holes :)

Reply

Workout outfit: Capris + tank w/ built in sports bra. Over my winter break I practically lived in my capris.
Fave chip: original ruffles(lame i know) or lays w/ lime juice and hot sauce.
My commute is anywhere from 35-45 mins depending on traffic =/

Reply

I usually wear a running tank and running shorts, but my tanks usually don’t have built in sports bras, so I gotta add the sports bra to option A. ;)

Favorite chips are salt and vinegar … the stronger, the better. I also love Doritos and Cool Ranch Doritos! :)

Reply

A is definitely my preference – but only if it’s hot. I HATE getting cold, and I don’t agree with the experts that say dress 10 degrees warmer that it is. I would freeze to death if I followed that rule.

Favorite chip is barbecue. Yum. Actually, I just bought a small package to eat by myself. I don’t like sharing the good stuff.

Hubby’s commute is a 5 minute drive – although he usually rides his bike, so 10 minutes?

Reply

I’m drooling over the lululemon pic you put up;-) I would prefer a lulu running skirt and tank if weather was perfect! My absolute favorite chip would probably be fritos. I had a track date too, with my friend. We did some speed work – so fun! Hope you had a great time at the track and enjoy those chips!!

Reply

My go-tos are A (with an extra sports bra!) or C but with a real shirt :)

Reply

Between the temperatures of 38ºF and 85ºF, I will wear boy shorts (didn’t know they were called that :P I just call them my 8-year old yoga shorts!) and a tank with my supersonic sports bra. Colder? make it capris. Warmer? if no one’s looking, I might just shed the tank and run in the sports bra which would make everyone who sees me cringe and vomit.

Reply

I’m a C girl, no shame here in that. I like minimal clothing when running, and I’m sure my husband would prefer I sport a top while out but I cannot stand being hot! I do get strange looks quite often here in Chicago when I’m not in normal running zones topless…

Reply

Hi! I am a new reader and am so glad I found your blog! Congrats on your little one on the way. I have a 19 month old daughter and let me tell you kids are amazing, life changing, and so much fun!

I am loyal to my tempo shorts (most bought at Ross or Marshalls to save extra $$) and a T-Shirt, which usually came free from a race entry or event. Not at all sleek and stylish but comfy and economical. That being said I have secretly been dying to try out a cute running skirt.

Reply

Running skirt and tank or t shirt! I was skeptical of skirts and I ended up buying a brooks running skirt on clearance. Now I’m a believer. It’s like wearing boot y shorts without everyone seeing you in those booty shorts. My skirts are more comfy than my tempo shorts.

Reply

I was obsessed with Munchies in college too! Whenever we road trip I HAVE to buy a bag!

I’m an E girl- but I’d swap out the t-shirt for a tank, especially with the crazy summer weather we’ve been having in March! Love my Tempos though- if my husband didn’t object, I would own a pair in every color ;)

Reply

I am a tempo short kind of gal, tried the running skirts but I looked horrible … disappointing … tank with the built in is the right for me … but if I could I would love to do the compression shorts and look like the picture! :)

Oh almost forgot my commute is 36 miles one way! I love my job and that makes it worthwhile.

Reply

F. Road Runner compression shorts with a 6″ or longer seam (keeps the jiggle to a minimum and there is no chafing…unfortunately an issue I still deal with in the quest to lose some love chub I put on after getting married and thinking I could eat like my 200 lb husband) and a tank top with a moving comfort sports bra. I don’t like the tanks with built in sports bras because my chest needs some serious support and moving comfort is the best bra out there.

Also that snack bag is so amazing. I used to get it in college as well. I haven’t had something like that in a while and the other day I had a dorito and I remembered why I don’t but them…I have no self control. I cannot stop eating them, so yum.

Reply

I actually walk to classes. I live in an apartment right next to campus. My boyfriend, who goes to a different school, has to drive 45 minutes every day to get to school though, yuck.

Reply

OH MY GOD THOSE CHIPS LOOK INCREDIBLE. that is GENIUS. omg i need to move to america ASAP!

I am totally a shorts and tank girl.. OR 3/4 leggings and tank/tee. Leggings reduce the incidence of inner thigh chafing – my thighs have substantially uhh….BLOSSOMED lately so i’m finding this a problem :D

Reply

D & E.

Favorite chips are ‘Hartley’s’ waffle BBQ chips–Hartley’s are made in Lewistown PA and are ammmaazzzing :)

Reply

F : capris and a dri fit tee. I would love to get to the point where I had enough confidence to wear the boy short with sports bra during the hot summer temps.

Favorite chips are Plain old Ruffles. Really exciting huh?

Reply

t-shirt with colorful running spandex

Reply

you know I love B because it’s from lululemon! my commute to work right now is about 7 minutes as well. once in NYC, I’m hoping to be able to walk to work so we’ll see. :) favorite chip from childhood: Cheetos! now, probably tortilla chips with salsa & guacamole. and you look beautiful with your clean, wet hair! I’m on day 2 of no washing…

Reply

My go to workout outfit is a tank (without built in bra!), running shorts or capri length tights – for the gym but outside it depends on the weather.
I have never been a huge chip person, but when I was younger I like Ketchup (though I hate actual ketchup) and now I would say tortilla chips, because I can eat them with my favorite – guacamole!
The city we live is not huge, so even though we live on the opposite end as where we work, its only a 15 minute commute. We work beside each and car pool most days too!

Reply

Hands down, salt and vinegar and then cool ranch doritos close behind. My commute is about 10 miles and my sig other works from home so he needs to walk all the way across the living room to get to his office. Sometimes there is a major traffic jam coming from the kitchen…

Reply

You should try dry shampoo. It’s amazing for day 10 hair! :)

Reply

I can only workout in a t-shirt and shorts or tanktop and shorts. Any long-sleevedness or pants makes me sweat like crazy and then I get super uncomfortable!

Reply

OH I love those Taco Doritos, they are sooo good!

Reply

I for one like choice C Sports bra with boy shorts or any lightweight tech. long
sleeve shirt. I am so in like with Luluemon clothing line , last night had to sneak
back online and order me some stuff from there web site it was calling for me.
The chip that I cannot do with out is veggie chip’s from Jensen’s Orchard , YUM.

Reply

Well if the weather was perfect (60) I would like to wear that tank with the built in bra pictured above and some tight compression shorts. So comfy and ready to fly :) Have fun on your track workout date.

Reply

my commute is a bit crazy. I leave my house at 6:45, drop V off at school, park and catch the 7:22 train, get off the train and walk 1.3 miles (I think, it is 13 city blocks) to my office. I usually get there about 8:20. So my commute it over an hour and a half (each way)

Reply

Can I do tempo-type shorts and jog bra? I know it’s not following the rules ;-)

Reply

“A” for me! Always have to run in a tank because I live in Florida!

Favorite chip: Any chip! But I really love Cracked Pepper and Sea Salt flavored chips. Yum! Oh, and Cheddar and Sour Cream. Double yum.

My commute is easy – only 20 minutes. It used to be 45! Hubs works from home, so his commute is ZERO minutes. (lucky)

Reply

F: (which is a variation on A) shorts with a tank top (but no built in bra)

Loved your pregnancy and weight gain post, I wish I could peel myself away from my scale like you!!

Reply

If the weather isn’t ‘an issue’ I’m most comfortable running in a tank top and running shorts. I’m pretty sure that’s because it’s the lightest thing I can wear which makes me feel like running faster, if that makes any sense… : )

Reply

My vote is for A and E :)

Reply

sea salt and cracked pepper kettle chips are the best!

my commute is a 25-30 walk or 10 minute train ride. i walk most days, especially now that it’s getting warmer.

favorite running outfit: tempo shorts and a tank (but not with a built in bra; i find those really uncomfortable for some reason)

Reply

I’m all over look A–easy peasy! Of course, I always feel a little awesome running in ridiculously cold weather with all my XC ski gear on (except the boots and skis, of course!) Favorite chips are a tie between Fritos (I can devour a whole bag in a day, so I avoid buying them EVER) and Kettle Chips Salt and Black Pepper flavor. So good! I’m a salty snack gal.

Reply

Also, did you see that that Lululemon tank in outfit A has SEVEN pockets across the top–that’s amazing! Of course, I picture stuffing that thing with everything I need for a long run and I’d look ridiculous!

Reply

A top and B capris. My favorite chips are also Salt and Vinager. So addictive!

Reply

E

Reply

Definitely B. I have that top and I loooove to wear it for running. I love tempo shorts, but capris guarantee no chafing :)

Reply

I LOVE BBQ chips…don’t know when to stop. AND Parmesan Herb Sunchips…craziness.

I’m combining parts…I love a tank top with capris.

Reply

I have a pretty long commute :( It takes about a little over an hour each way.

I really like a combination of your running outfits. I like to wear capris with a tank top!

Reply

whoa whoa whoa. What are those Munchies things and WHY have i never seen them before?!? all the best cheezy flavor chips in one bag? umm sign me up!!

LOL I’m with you on the running clothes! I use them as a reward haha. This week it was, “study hard and get an A on my test, and I can buy a new runnin outfit”, sooo yay I get to shop now! I’m totally a sports bra and boyshorts kinda person. Not sure why, but I really hate the feeling of fabric brushing me when I’m running, and i hate hate HATE when the sweat makes my clothes stick to me…I love to sweat, but I don’t like wet clingy clothes. solution, wear as little clothing as possible haha.

Reply

Right now while it’s still cold in the mornings I’m digging my warmer tights, a long sleeved tech tee, my Nike Storm fit jacket, and my Under Armour beanie. This summer it will be my capris + a tank with built-in sports bra.
As for chips, when I was pregnant I craved nacho cheese Doritos but now I love just plain tortilla chips. I could eat a whole bag of them!

Reply

Cheetos, hands down, though Fritos are a close second.

My commute is only 5 minutes away…and I love it. My husband has to drive 20 minutes, but his little corrolla gets better gas mileage. I drive the bigger family car.

For me, cute workout clothes make a difference in my effort level. I dress according to the temperature/weather, so depending on the time of year here in Utah, all of those choices are my favorites at some point…but I’ve never tried a running skirt (yet :)) and I need more support for the girls than a built in bra can give me.

Completely on a tangent, but I was wondering if you might include your half marathon drop bag necessities in a future post. Utah Valley is 15 weeks away, and since it’s my first big race and I’m a type A personality, I’m looking ahead to the logistics (I’m the girl who had her hospital bag packed at 32 weeks…for all 3 pregnancies :))

Reply

I mean 10.5 weeks away. I’ve been running on 5 hours of sleep all day. Time for bed, I think!

Reply

Hi Janae, hope you have a good time.
I like pepper chips most(I don’t know why!!). Actually I can’t eat much because they have many disadvantages.(I like other chips too)
If I want to choose one of them, I will choose A because it is more similar to sanda clothing(I will use sanda clothing and it’s “A” to some extent.)
For you I think D is really suitable(I think it makes you more adorable. I’m talking about t-shirt not tank). I should say that it’s my opinion, yours is important.
Ah, I forgot your second question: It usually takes me 15 minutes to go to school( the distance is about 1 mile). Take care!

Reply

Definitely the long-sleeve and capris! I feel comfy in longer and looser-fitting workout clothes.

Reply

Definitely “E”

Reply

Option B all the way. I like winter running much better than summer. I live in Central CA, so it doesn’t get super cold. I can get away with capris and light weight shirts in the middle of winter.

Sour Cream and Cheddar Ruffles.

My commute is about 12 minutes. I live and work in the same town. My school is only a couple of miles away. My husband works in another town and drives over 45 minutes each way.

Reply

I love all kinds of chips, pretty much if the bag is in front of me it will be gone soon.

I commute almost an hour both ways to work! Ugghh sucks, that time should be spent sleeping, running, or eating candy. What a waste.

Fave outfit: spandex capris and a tank (has to be the moisture wick kind)

Reply

Doritos in the purple bag. I do believe I’ve mentioned this chips about a dozen times on your blog! And how hot is Kara Goucher? She’s a running/mommy all-star. I’m excited to see what kind of maternity running clothes you come up with the bigger you get! :)

Reply

I love getting new running clothes. I’m a tempo shorts and t- shirt kind of girl! I am becoming a bigger fan of capri length tights.

Reply

skirt and tank top/shirt all the way. if i looked like kara goucher, possibly naked.

Reply

All my husband has talked about for WEEKS is that freaking Doritos taco! I swear he’s going to divorce me and marry it. He finally had it this weekend and he is officially in love.

Reply

Munchies are delicious!! My heart will always belong to fritos, though. Especially the bbq ones! So good!!

Reply

Favorite chip? Oh so many to choose just once: Chilli Cheetos, Tangy Cheese Doritos, and Fritos! Now that I think about it, it’s been far too long since I’ve had any of them- this needs to change STAT!

Reply

I LOVE munchies!!! :)) sooo good! you reminded me that I haven’t had them in a very long time & now I want them. :)

A for me. sports tank-top & tempos for me. :)

luv ya girl & hope I see you soon!! miss you!

Reply

I’m usually like you in that I would take candy over chips any day, but if I am feeling like chips, it’s flaming hot cheetos (seriously processed, but I crave them once a year) or cooler ranch doritos.

I wear all of the above except the boy shorts, stomach bearing tank. I tend to wear skirts for races, and in the warm weather. Shorts must be Tempos…No Cotton tees

Reply

My commute is about 5 miles away and how long it takes me depends on my start time. If I have to be at work at 7am my commute is probably about 10- 15 minutes, but if I have to brave rush-hour traffic for a later start, it would probably take me at least 45 minutes.

My favorite chip is a thin cut Salt and Vinegar; but I pretty much love S&V anything.

As far as the outfits go, I love A. If i could I would run in a tank and shorts all year around- definitely the most comfortable for me.

Reply

I love love plain chips :D

Reply

Usually I will wear a sports bra/tempo shorts combo because the tights didn`t work so far.
I`d love to add a cute tee, but it`s just too hot for me.

I just wanted to comment and say that I always dry my hair using the AC in my car on my way to class from swimming. Good to know that teachers don`t mind or rather do the same. Though I`m not sure if this is really very much business-school-appropriate. ;)

Reply

For me E. I wish I could say just for running but its my basic out of work directly into outfit for the entire summer.

I’ve never seen those chips before in my life, but now I have to have them! This calls for an early morning WalMart trip!

I’d go with a tank top and shorts, unless it’s for a long run, because tanks can cause chaffing. YUCK.

BBQ Frito’s. Hands down. No contest. They are my post-race reward.
My commute is down the stairs and around the corner. Traffic-free unless the dog is sunbathing on the stairs.
I have to take B. I can’t seem to run in sorts without them bunching. So I stick to capri’s.

Yoga capris and a tank.:)

I agree with Nicole! Honey Bbq Frito twists make me happy or the garden salsa sunchips
I drive about 27 miles to work(roughly 45 minutes on hwy roads), and the S.O drives the same (we work about 1 mile apart) but due to schedules we can’t carpool which is a big bummer. We could save so much gas money! :(

I’m either a B or E. I prefer the shorts/running capris with a sleeveless tank (since it’s always warm enough in FL)..sleeves always bother my armpits/underarms when I run and I’m too self conscious to do the bra/tightshorts get up!

1. choice A, no contest. specifically, Lulu tops, because their built in sports bras actually KEEP you in. and speed shorts. ;)

2. I swear, I kept those Munchies chips in biznaass in college. so goshdarn good!

I would say my favorite outfit is a tank with a built in sports bra (I get some chaffing issues if I wear a sports bra with a tank that has it built in, so I just go without HA!) and then a skirt. When I go to work in the morning it usually takes about fifteen minutes, but when I go home to let my dog out at lunch it takes around ten minutes. And my favorite chips are the Kettle brand chips in the flavor Aged Cheddar.

Don’t worry- I haven’t washed my hair since sat because I went to the hair salon and am way too lazy to fix my own hair

Even though I have almost zero boobs I still wear a sports bra under a tank with a built-in bra.
Right now I am sick of bundling up to run! So tired of pants! I think my preference is tank top and shorts. I don’t really like tempo shorts that much because they never fit/look right, but I wear them anyway.

I am obsessed with tempo shorts and a dri-fit or other tech t-shirt, I am always sad if I cannot wear that.

Tanks with built in sports bra REALLY frustrate me because honestly, there are probably like 5 people in the world that the “built in sports bra” is enough support for. They are always really cute tanks and I want them but I have to wear another sports bra and then having an extra one attached to my shirt is just annoying. grrrr my rant for the day. All fitness clothing companies are guilty!!! They make no sense!!

Running shorts with tank– if it is really hot out and I’m running on rual country roads where I don’t see anyone, I like to run in just a sports bra and shorts. ;)

Random…but dating back a few posts….I met my husband in a parking lot as well. :)

I am such a potato chip gal… I love it all. But I guess if I had to choose one…okay, wait, can I choose two? It would be Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar. My husband hates the smell of it, so I make sure to get the most cheesiest bag ever. HA. I also love Sun Chips Harvest Cheddar. (I guess you see the pattern here!).

My style: Prob the built in bra. My tatas are kinda on the big side for someone that’s 4’11 3/4.

Picture E. Or F. Tempo shorts and a t shirt.
My keyboard has turned orange from that snack mix. Good thing I finally caved and bought me a Keyboard Protector!

I like wearing capris with a tank because I feel like the capris hold everything tightly into place. When it is warmer I will wear shorts and a tank, sometimes just tempo shorts and a sports bra if it is really hot out…..I get a bit of color on me while I am running, although I end up with the dreaded sports bra tan but it is worth it.

I love that you rock the wet hair look too!
My favorite chips are a tie between sour cream and cheddar ruffles and restaurant tortilla chips with salsa and guac :)
My favorite running clothes are capris with a nice LONG tank. Nothing bothers me more than a shirt that rides up when I’m running.

So because I work out all the time, and am a personal trainer, AND am going to school for Kinesiology (meaning that I take endless amounts of exercises courses), I honestly love all those options- except maybe the skirt. Something about sweating in a skirt that I just don’t understand. If I HAD to choose, I would have to say compression capris with a T-Shirt!

E!

Although when I do pump, or any lifting, I prefer to wear a tank top. Need to see those muscles working and building! :)

PS – Just left TJs (their ‘super spinach salad’ is actually a phenomenal ready-to-eat lunch!), and now I’m super sad I didn’t get those cookies …..

Wet hair = every day ;) I do it for my students, I want them to know their teacher showers bahaha!

I love E. It’s a classic combo, and it just works.

My running clothes vary depending on the weather. Last week I ran outside in shorts and a tank top, and this week it’s long pants and long sleeves. Yay for Michigan! I really like E :)

I’m not a big fan of chips, but Mike is a chip-a-holic! I usually snatch a few of his Doritos :)

We live really close to our workplaces. I’m 4 miles from mine, but it takes about 12 minutes to get there. Mike works about 3 miles away and we can get there in 5 or 6 minutes!

De-lurking to say that I haven’t seen anyone talk about the running shorts from Target! I thought I was a Nike Tempo short girl until I bought some of the Target kind and they are the best! They don’t ride up like the Nikes sometimes do and they are usually cheaper (unless you find the sale Tempos which I try to do as well).

E for sure! I love tempo shorts. I shop TJMaxx a lot and get really good deals on Nike running shorts and shirts.

My commute is about 45 minutes and so is my significant other’s. We work at the same place and live about 3 miles apart!

I always wear a running skirt and tank/shirt, even in the winter.

E all the way, especially with a Nike shirt like the photo. Last Black Friday I spend all 200 of my dollars in the Nike outlet for myself and I have to say I’m not guilty about it at all.
