I walked into my spin class and judged the teacher right away. Don’t act like you don’t do that too. I thought to myself….oh good, today will be nice and easy and I can do more cardio after if I don’t feel like I did enough.
4 minutes into class I had to put my hair into my sumo wrestler bun. Attractive I know. You are welcome for cropping this photo….you would have lost your lunch with the amount of sweat on me.
The sumo bun occurs when I can’t have a hair touching me because my neck, face, back, shoulders are drenched and the thought of hair sticking to it makes me nauseated.
After spin I went out to the weights and did 3 sets of 12 push-ups and 3 sets of lat pull-downs and a few bicep curls.
The stair master caught my eye and lured me over. During a previous knee injury and having to cut running out I used the stair master to keep up my cardio endurance and boy did it.
10 minutes on that baby=more tired than my 11 miler on Saturday. 4 minutes in and all I could say was ‘I CAN’ with each step and I finished up. My brain is easily distracted so just saying two words over and over again can get me through the tough stuff.
What words/phrases do YOU say to yourself to power through when a workout/run gets tough.
How do you wear your hair (details with bobbi pins/head bands etc would be greatly appreciated) when you are working out?
