Silentish Saturday!

(Long-sleeve, shorts, shoes ((20% off))

A stop to look at Andrew’s dream yard with bike tracks all around it… I need to make this happen for him.

Felt tired and I didn’t want to run but glad I did.

8 miles

And this.

New nails.

Hung with grandma.

Afternoons.

You know you have older siblings when you find yourself with stamps all over your forehead.

Me and a few of my friends that are running boston got an email that we could get a free pair of the adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3… we all thought it was a scam but somehow it was actually real?!?!?

Me and Andrew’s book club book this month.

Going through one of these a day.

No long run, tested positive for Covid on Wed, hoping my very sick 12 year old can go back to school on Mon!! She has had Covid with symptoms since Tues and yesterday evening was the first time she seemed to have any energy and no fever. I faired better but still hasn’t been very easy. Gonna try to get her moving today. Missing school as a middle schooler is so hard.

Oh Carrie, I hope so bad she is able to get back to school! Hoping you all feel better asap and get some energy again.

Free shoes?!?!! That’s amazing! Have you run in those Adidas before? So nice.
Ha ha, stamps on his forehead… At first I thought they were bruises, phew!
Today is my mom’s birthday. All 5 of us sisters are here to celebrate. Sadly my brother couldn’t come at the last minute. But 1st, I’m heading out for a very cold run on my favorite trail (over by my parent’s old house). It’s 22°, feels like 14°… We’ll see how this goes, ha.
Have a great weekend Janae!

Happiest birthday to your mom! I am so happy you guys are together to celebrate you. I hope you had hot chocolate after that run! These were my first time running in adidas, they are incredible but definitely hurt the back of my feet so I gotta figure that out. Happy weekend in Colorado, Wendy!

LOVING Atomic Habits. Reading it right now too :) One of my favorite (of many) quotes by him – “Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become”

Three things I have going on today:
-Very easy/short run
-Spending all day deciding whether or not I should jump into a race tomorrow or just do a long run and build in a workout. (Curious your thoughts on when/if you think it’s a good idea to do practice races before your goal race and how you approach them!)
-Shopping day with my friend!

I’m running Boston and I got the free shoes too! Haven’t run in them yet, but I’m looking forward to breaking them in!

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! I am obsessed with them. My heels bled in them but I’m not sure if that was because of my socks or my first run being 18 miles in them. See you in Boston!

Reply

I will! I am used to Saucony, these feel very different. Planning to try them on a very short run (granted I get cleared to run soon…), especially after your bleeding experience ;-)

Oh dear… I must confess, I bought that same book around the beginning of the year and I have barely started it. I guess the habit I need to work on is finishing things I start! You’re inspiring me to pick it up again next week.

Report back on how you like that book, “Atomic Habits”

I love your nails!
How does Beck look so much like your daughters sons? So crazy!
Keep me posted on your book!
Today: run, read (I Am Malala) and 1 year olds birthday party.
Have a great weekend!

Today I’m finishing my book.
Hanging with my kids.
Planning a run outside for the first time in almost two months since experiencing plantar fasciitis pain and nursing it on the treadmill so it stayed under control. And it’s beautiful. Huge bonus.

A RUN OUTSIDE! I am so happy for you and that your feet are ready to get out there again!

Wow. I love surprise FREE shoes but that only happens to me when my husband buys them for me 🤣

I’ve been meaning to grab that same book….I’ve heard great things!

Free shoes?! How nice! I wear the Adizeros too!

7 mile run with a friend and breakfast after. Going to a trampoline park with my boyfriend this afternoon! It was an idea from a box of date idea cards I gave him for Valentine’s Day.

Love the nails!! Three things. Well I woke up sick yesterday morning so my current plans include lying in bed with lots of hot drinks and possibly a second hot bath. I guess the long run will have to wait!

Also I saw the Aftershock documentary as well. So scary!

Have a great day Janae!

Peloton HIIT workout, house cleaning and baking gingerbread from the Featherstone Nutrition site. Oh, and shoveling. So much shoveling. Guess I’ll get my upper body workout in.

I’ve listened to the Atomic Habits guy on a podcast and he seemed awesome, bet that will be a great read. And I need more information on this cool house with bike tracks. That would be my husband’s dream too!

Congratulations on the free shoes! Can’t wait to hear how they compare with the Nikes for you.
Started off with 6 miles outside with the dog, taking a bath now, then I’m going to linger over my jigsaw puzzle. Happy Saturday!

I love your nails!! Three things cleaning house, going to tv show and watching my youngest play in first round of state basketball playoffs. This is first time in 15 years that his school made it to playoffs. We are praying for a win. Our boys have worked so hard.

positive, I need a lot of positive stuff influencing my head right now….HRG this helps…..3 things, visiting my dad at the hospital, spent Friday evening with my dad at ER, going to see him today now that he’s back and getting treatment at another hospital…spending time with him it hits hard how weak he’s become and the dementia that’s there that my mom and sister seem to brush off…..fitness and life I think will be taking a back seat for the future…I’ve even walked away from my dream job selling running shoes…so tough time, but need everything positive…vicariously is how life may be better
