Silentish Saturday!!!

Another day of not running (but I did go on a 5 minute walk in the afternoon).

This. Has. Knocked. Me. Down.

Said our goodbyes for the next week.  Miss my buddy so much already.

Deborah told me about this book yesterday and I listened to it all day.  Just what I needed.

Riddles.

Their version of a cold plunge.

This is incredible.

three things today: work, long run and abs workout, and Christmas shopping.

I hope you’re feeling better soon! Get some rest and hopefully you’ll be writing that you’re back to your old self on Monday.

Getting ready to head out for my last long run of my first 50 mile training cycle = 30 miles and 5ish hours. I have a Christmas party to attend tonight and I’m not sure how that is going to happen but I am taking the day moment by moment haha. Wish me luck!
Have a great day and I wish you all a wonderful Christmas, Janae!

ANNEMARIE! Oh my goodness, this is thrilling. I would love to hear how it goes and when is the 50 miler?! So excited for you! YOU’VE GOT THIS!

Thank you! 30 more miles in the bank and now it’s recovery then taper! I am using Krissy Moehl’s book that you recommended and I really like the plan. This is the toughest training I’ve ever done but I’ll be ready ;) Race day is Jan 14th and the weather could be literally anything here in San Diego (except snow lol) so hoping for mid-50s or so and no wind 🤞🤞
I don’t have a goal except to finish, but I would REALLY like to finish in under 10 hours. Before it gets dark would be ideal. Got any tips?

Oh my goodness! I am so so so happy for you! Congrats on a great run and you are so ready. Her plan is the best! My biggest tip is to eat every 30 minutes no matter what. Force it if you have to but the calories and liquids are what you need for that sub 10 hour finish. Please let me know how it goes! So so exciting!

Yep. This season’s illness is lingering around for sure. I think I’ll be ready for the Christmas season about the time January hits. Can we delay Christmas by a few weeks this year?
Today I’m doing luminaries for our neighborhood , reading, and hopefully buying a few Christmas presents. The only Christmas present I have bought is a Garmin 25 for my cross country running 11 year old nephew. I am so eager for him to open it!!
Feel better. Or at least remember you’re not alone with feeling under the weather!

Reply

Hahaha I think that is a fabulous idea… let’s just push it back a bit. Your nephew is going to love that. Best aunt award! Sounds like a great day, Molly. Seriously, everyone is down and out!

Ugh, so sorry you are still sick!

I am sure it’s so hard to miss your big kiddos this time of year, just sending you peace and love.

We are headed up to go skiing today then all the Christmasy stuff, I can’t believe it’s only one week away?!?

Please feel better ;)

Thank you, Beth! I’m looking forward to January hahah. ENJOY THE SKIING and all of the Christmasy things. So happy for you guys! I will, on Monday I am determined to run!

Sub 3 in Antarctica!? Amazing!!
Oh that book sounds good. I definitely put it on my list.
Today is all about baking Christmas cookies. I’m going to get in some sort of workout first, but for most of the day I will be in the kitchen.
I’m sorry you’re still not feeling great. Hopefully today is better. And good for you for getting outside and getting some vitamin D. That helps.
Keep taking care of yourself 😊

I can’t even imagine being outside for 3 hours in Antartica let alone running a marathon ha. YAY for Christmas cookies and your boys back. Yes, the goal is to get some vitamin d again today. Thanks Wendy, enjoy the baking!

I just got goosebumps! I am so thrilled that the book “Wintering” resonated with you and that it is what you needed to read during this time. I hope it lifts your spirits and that you feel an abundance of energy coming back to you as you heal. Sending virtual hugs your way!

It’s crazy how much I needed this book. I just bought it for my sister too. Somehow you knew to share it with me and I can’t thank you enough! Have the best weekend, Deborah!

Wow! That Antarctica Marathon time is amazing!

3 things: 6.5 mile run in the wind, followed by yoga, now I’m heading back to kitchen to make gingerbread men for our program tomorrow.

I saw a skeletal Santa on my run today and immediately thought of Andrew! Pretty sure he would have loved it! https://mcmomentsandmemories.blogspot.com/2022/12/saturday-sites.html
