Some thank you notes:

Thank you, Emilee and Jo, for meeting me early on Saturday morning for a run.

Thank you, legs, for running our 3-mile segment faster than the previous week.

Thank you to the majority of my fake eyelashes for staying on during the windy run.

Thank you, Panda, for being open at 9:30 am… Brooke was craving it.

Thank you, OB exam, for being over quickly because I dread this exam all year long (but good news… some lumps that recently made me nervous are just cysts)!

Thank you to the best snack for reentering my life.

Thank you, Andrew, for making jokes while we registered Brooke for JUNIOR HIGH so that I didn’t cry.

Thank you, classifieds, for having a cheap squat rack for me to buy so I can continue to stay consistent with lifting heavier during the summer with all of the kids home (We had a squat rack, but sold it because we never used it, and now got this one because I am going to use it;)

Thank you, Beretta, for being the most patient pup ever.

Thank you to the extra couch time lately to help me pass my online scuba test.

Thank you, nieces and nephews, for putting together quite the Cinco de Mayo feast for us.

Thank you, Modern Family, for entertaining us for hours.

Thank you to everyone who loves Brooke so much for sending her food.

I would love to read any of your thank you notes today or from this weekend!

Junior high?? Cue Ross from Friends saying “I’m fine!”
Thank you HBO Max for airing Giro D’Italia so I can watch hours of Tadej cover for 3 weeks. Yesterday he did his usual adding to the history books thing…on top of getting a flat tire and falling off his bike with 10 km to go, leaving his bike computer behind and then winning the stage.
Hope Brook feels better asap! :)

I’M NOT FINE. It is shocking. I swear I just got out of junior high haha. Oh I bet you are grateful to HBO Max. ‘His usual adding to the history books thing’ hahaha. How did he still win?! Amazing! Thanks Molly, have a great day:)

So sweet. I love this!
Thank you to all of the race volunteers for being out on the race course for hours, handing out cups of water and Gatorade. Thank you to the police officers who were on the course making sure all the runners were safe. And thanks to all of the spectators out cheering and making fun signs to help motivate everyone running. My favorite sign from the race, “Hurry up and finish so we can go get tacos and margs”
I’m glad Brooke seems to be feeling better. And holy cow, registering her for jr high!!!!
Have a good Monday!

BIGGEST CONGRATS to you on your race yesterday. I bet it felt so good to be back. Those race volunteers deserve awards and the police officers make it all possible. Oh, those types of signs have helped me so many times over the years and haha that one is amazing. Thank you, Wendy! You too!

I like to keep a gratitude list and whenever I start to overly cranky I remind myself of how much I have to be grateful for.

This past weekend I am grateful that I got 4-5 hours to myself, and spent it in the trails. I ran just about 22 miles or 35km. I am very grateful for epsom salt baths and post run naps lol.

I am grateful for all the opportunities running has given me, the people I have met and places it has allowed me to travel with.

I am grateful for time with the 2 loves of my life, hubby and River – I took River to the dog beach so hubby could sleep in and took her to cheer on the marathon runners..and she loved it.

Have a wonderful day Janae !

It really does so much for our brains… I was feeling stressed out and overwhelmed last night and once I wrote all of the thank you notes for this, I felt like a new human. You are so smart to keep that gratitude list. Kristine, you are an absolute machine. I bet the gain over those 22 miles was unreal! I bet you and River had the best time at the dog beach, I want to meet you there with Beretta. Thank you friend, you too!

Thank you to my legs and lungs for allowing me to race the Indy Mini this weekend despite the weather being 61 degrees and 88% humidity and while a minute off a PR still a sub 1:40.

Thank you to my friend’s aunt for letting us stay at her house while we were in town.

Thank you, Janae, for being an internet friend and inspiration and for continuing to write your blog all these years later!

Thank you Baltimore residents who cheered on the kinetic sculpture race in the rain this weekend! Thank you to my mom for staying in town an extra day to visit us. Thank you to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for providing an amazing rainy day activity and showing me so many paintings from Monet. And most thanks to my boyfriend for being the most supportive, empathetic person ever.

I love this! And holy cow, junior high! I have one left in high school and I’m half-dreading next year because it will be the year of all of his high school lasts.

I’m so grateful that I’m about 3.5 weeks post surgery and I was able to do a 45 min bike workout yesterday! I’m thankful for my sis in law who cooked us all tacos yesterday and she’s returning my scooter to save me a 40 min drive. I’m also super grateful/excited for my husband to do his first cycling race in a few weeks! He gets to race with a former running buddy who is now a quadriplegic. I’m so happy that they get to do this together!

Oh the high school lasts will be so so hard. Sending you love! 45 min bike workout! I bet the endorphins were the best ever after that. Your SIL sounds amazing and good luck to your husband. What a special thing they will get to experience together. Wow.

I dread that annual exam too! My OB/GYN office used to leave a Ghirardelli chocolate and a note that said ‘chocolate makes everything better, even this!” COVID ended that and I’m still not over it

jr high….loved it. just didn’t realize it them…I’m a bit older, but it was an amazing time, I’m still friends with a few, and a few from senior high as well….whenever I cross paths with anyone at that age (I help a lot at local school events) I tell them to do everything, be as social as hell, and take thousands of pictures….the best years of my life…and yes I had platform shoes
