Tuesday Tangents!

Twelve miles @ 8:14 pace to start the morning, and look at that green popping up!

It’s a little creepy with how many pictures I have on my phone of people’s running shoes, but the new Novablast 4s look really pretty, and I can’t wait to try them.

It was a camp chair on the street while the kids played kind of a day. We should have shopped for groceries but bought rice bowls from 180 Tacos instead.

Andrew’s friend, Chris Bukard, was in town with his movie–> The Forgotten Coast.

It was incredible. The film was about Chris’s expedition on his bike across 400km of Iceland beaches along with 41 glacial rivers by bikerafting!  It looked like quite the adventure, one that I would much rather watch than do myself, though (a bit dangerous for me;)

The popcorn and drinks were a highlight of the evening for Skye.

Let’s roll into the tangents for the day:

*It’s my mom’s birthday! I can’t wait to celebrate her today and eat lemon dessert with her!

*Anyone else like to carry around a thing of oats to snack on?

*Their freckles bring me joy. Sometimes, people ask if they are twins, which makes them very happy.

*My brother let me test drive his Tesla, and now I need one.

*Knox is my deep discussion buddy. His questions and interesting topics make me think about the world, and I love his outlook on situations. This one occurred while he was eating a bean burrito from Taco Bell while we were walking through parking lots.

*Name a better soup than French onion.  I dare you.

*My sister was telling her youngest about a future trip they are going to take, and he said, “I’m just so jealous of my future self.”

*The adidas sale ends tomorrow!  My favorites are all in this post:)

I think that I hit my tangent limit with yesterday’s Tadej tangent.
Happy birthday to your mom! I hope that she doesn’t want to celebrate by going to TB for lunch.

There is never a tangent limit and the clip you sent me made my day! Bahaha luckily, my mom has taste buds! Hope your day is a great one, Molly:)

Happy birthday, Hungry Runner Mama!!! Hope your fam spoils you silly :)

The other night, Enso said: “Mama, I need hot chocolate. I’ve had a long day.” He also described the bed as “crunchy” after he got in and felt dirt from his feet in the sheets lol.

I’d love a tricked-out van to do road trips! Like with the kitchenette and bed set up. That could lead to a crazy adventure :) Have a great day, Janae!

Thank you, Courtney! Okay. That. Is. Adorable. Sometimes a cup of hot chocolate can just fix anything that happened during the day. The crunchy thing too haha… my kids know that same feeling. Oh, can you imagine how fun that type of van would be. Happy Tuesday, Courtney!

Happy Birthday HRG mom!!! I hope your family treats you to all of your favorites.
My youngest son has always been the good deep conversation guy. I also love to hear his outlook on life, especially now that he’s almost 20.
Freckles on kids is the best. When they start popping out, you know the sun is out more, yay.
After my run, I need to go back and look at the Adidas sale!
Have a great Tuesday Janae

We saw The Forgotten Coast in Seattle! It was amazing. What a beautiful country and an amazing way to see it! I’m with you though – I’d rather watch that adventure than do it. Happy birthday to your mom!!

I love that you saw it! Haha his face when they finally made it to the shelter… yeah, not for me but thank you for showing me this amazing country on the screen! Hope you have a beautiful day, Gretchen.

My 6 year old niece told me that she only eats hot lunch at school because it’s free, once her parent have to pay for it she will take lunch from home. Her dad is an eye surgeon and her mom works in banking, she definitely doesn’t need free lunch (they do free lunch district wide).

Not super adventurous but I want to do a doors off helicopter tour of Kauai.

BAHAH she has no idea;). That is so funny! Okay, can I join you for that tour? I bet that would be incredible! Thanks Mindy, I hope you have a beautiful day.

My husband loves to snack on old fashioned oats. On days that he goes into the office, he packs a bag with dry oats and walnuts or pecans for breakfast or a snack :)

No way! I can’t wait to tell Skye this:). I’ll add some nuts with hers.

Also, one day my son…when he was maybe 3 or 4 asked me if we die if we don’t drink water. I told him yes, we would eventually die if we don’t drink water and it is important to stay hydrated. Next thing I know I hear him drinking some water and he said…”whew, that was close.” haha

STOP IT hahah… that is hilarious. He thought he was so close to complete dehydration. I just want to be in their brains for a few hours each day. Have a great day, Amy!

Happy birthday to your Mama! Your nephew’s comment is adorable and so true!

My niece recently broke her ankle and she fell with her crutches down some stairs and I said “at least you didn’t break anything else” and she said “only my heart.” Oh my, this kid cracks me up!

My dream car is an Audi. They have nice lines and I love the lights.

I would love to hike Machu Picchu!

In my 50’s I had 2 amazing adventures. Hiking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Both were great experiences. Go for it!
