Started the day differently… I needed a rest day.
Off to work.
Doctor appointments…
Donuts to Brooke’s class for her birthday.
7 hours apart was just too much for Beck.
I like the small little expos.
Stocked up on the goods.
Couldn’t get myself to try this but I kind of want to now…
Carb-loaded on the front porch.
I’m ready to go!
I’m telling myself that wearing the race shirt the night before is good luck.
Finished off with a night in the sprinklers while the big kids were at a party.

I hope your half marathon goes amazing this morning! Can’t wait to hear all about it.
Not much happening here this weekend. Just sort of “preparing” for hurricane Hilary. We’re directly in the path, but by the time it reaches land, it is down graded to “just” a tropical storm. So weird for the west coast to have a hurricane, let alone in August. But with a very wet and rainy Sunday, I’m sure I will have lots of time to finish my book. I’m reading Good Night, Irene. It is so good!

Also came to say…you HAVE to try Pickle Juice. It is LIFE :-) I always envision my pony when I was a kid and we would put out salt licks for them. I totally get it now.

oh nooooooo…..that’s almost as much a tradition as not wearing a race shirt during the actually race…never, and always crumple that race bib (which now a days a challenge with the timing chip)…….
