Our Glenwood Springs and Eagle Day!

We decided when we woke up to get out and run together.

We ran on a gorgeous path next to the Colorado River. 6 miles @ 8:36 pace. Andrew can go months without running and then boom… just go for a run.

After breakfast it was straight to Glenwood Springs Hot Springs. This is where my Grandad used to lifeguard and it is also the world’s largest mineral hot springs pool. We couldn’t believe how massive it was. It’s the first pool I stayed in for hours because it was so warm… like bath water.

Look at my cute mom in there. My dad wasn’t feeling very good so he was back at his room.

Just a casual 7 hours at a pool.

They had slides, pools for kids and a river with rapids on it that we went down on tubes and that was the highlight for everyone.

So was the ice cream.

They would be happy to come here every day.

We were all exhausted by the end.

Our next item was driving to Eagle, Co because my grandad also lived there for some time. We walked around for a while and ate at the Grille.

Beck is pooped and ready to get back to naps!

Oh my gosh, that looks like so much fun!!! How have I never heard of this place?!
How do some people not run for a while and then just go out and run miles…I will never understand that.

Last day of swimming lessons for my youngest two (hopefully their are no tears if one/both don’t pass!) and they get to head to the cabin with my parents. My oldest has allergy testing this afternoon, so going to the cabin has to wait a day for us.

Yesterday I signed a year lease on a townhouse for me and the kids–so not stressing about that is also on the agenda. It feels like a huge step, necessary, but still overwhelming and has me questioning all my life choices, haha.

Enjoy your day, Janae!

The background at the pool is amazing!
Today I am hopping back on the Peloton bike since our air quality has worsened.
I’m getting SUPER excited for TdF to start this weekenddddd!

That pool looks amazing!

Today I skipped my outdoor run with a friend because of the poor air quality in PA. I was really tempted to run outside anyways but everything I read said it was not a good idea. We both have pelotons so we did a ride together instead. Still a good work out but not the same as a run outside! Now work and book club later!

I am working but from home today but getting a massage this afternoon. And I took tomorrow off so we have 4 days off for Canada day long.

Will definitely get in a run but still recovering a bit from the 42 km trail training run I did last weekend 🤣.

The springs and pools look amazing! Have a fantastic trip Janae!

Colorado looks beautiful! So glad you all are enjoying that area.
We’re heading up to Lake Arrowhead again this weekend with family. It’s supposed to be absolutely beautiful, and we all can’t wait to get out on the boat and hang out on the dock. I have a ton to get done before we leave though. And I am so hoping to squeeze in getting my eye brows done.
Keep enjoying your wonderful family reunion.

I just spent a week in Glenwood Springs because my sister lives there! It’s such a lovely, historic town and running or biking along the Rio Grande is amazing. I wish we had miles of paved bike/running trails where I live! Glad you had fun (my allergies are always terrible this time of year in Colorado too- the tree pollen is insane there!)
