Silentish Saturday!!!

Four miles to start out my Friday and a happy right foot (that made me nervous on Thursday).

Andrew and I were able to run together while the kids hung out with their cousins and grandparents.

Brooke is all about eggs right now (thank goodness the smell doesn’t kill me off anymore.

The whole family went on a hike in Adam’s Canyon to see Lower Falls.

Felt so good to sit in the shade with the cold water next to us.

Brooke told me that we need to do more flat hikes on the way up but then she cruised on the way down.  She also told me she wished there were no more bees in this city… and then she remembered that they make honey and she took her statement back.

The kids got busy on helping to make dinner…

We got an early start to our day (thanks to our chatty cat, Meatball. He’s lucky he’s cute!) So on the list: -farmers market, pick strawberries and relax! You have to make the best of summer days in Winnipeg. ;) Have a great Saturday!!!

We are in Montreal celebrating our first anniversary this weekend!! Started my day off with 5 miles on the treadmill. We are planning on exploring and eating today. :) Enjoy your Saturday!!

Last touches on our camper! Getting so excited to finish and do a big reveal!

Reply

THAT IS SO EXCITING!! I can’t wait to see the finished product!

We have softball tournaments all weekend long. 1 game down, 2 more to go. Glad our heat gave us a little break for these games. Hope you guys enjoy your weekend.

Haha I’m pretty sure I’ve made similar comments when hiking. That’s really awesome you could take everyone hiking. The waterfalls look wonderful.

Yeeeeeeeeee!!! The baby move! So exciting. I take videos of my belly moving around like there’s an alien trying to get out and then I send them to my teenage sons. They think it’s sooooo gross. It’s just one little way that I like to tease them. ;) And plus, I know they’re secretly excited. Moms know these things. :)

A waterfall is my favorite thing to find on a hike!

We just got back from a very busy vacation so today I think will be rest day. Except for the ten mile trail run in the heat. I’m procrastinating which isn’t helping that problem.

3 things today:

Going for a short run. Still testing out my hips and the bursitis. My short runs earlier this week felt good, but then the bursitis flared on Thursday, so I took two days off. Hoping for no pain today. Bursitis is so hard to get rid of.

I’m going to the Apple store to have my Mac checked out. Seems the battery depletes so quickly these days, and it’s only 2 years old.

I’m also going to take my dog Maybelline for a walk. She’s whining now, so I better make it soon. :)

Extra thing I’m doing: packing. I’m preparing to move and downsize from a house to an apartment. This house is just too much upkeep.

I hope everyone has a runderful day!

Hugs and prayers being sent your way on this special Saturday!

Thank you SO MUCH!! It was a great day!

It looks like Brooke & Knox had an awesome day!! Cousin hangover ;)

Today, we are driving about 800 miles (on our way home from TX to Cali), reading (while the hubs drives), and that’s about it ?I did get up and run 5 treadmill miles in my bff’s garage so I am semi-productive today.

I’m prepping to work at a summer camp for kids with disabilities for the next 2 weeks, so today is full of paperwork, inventory, and printing materials! Not so fun now, but it’s so worth it! I head up to the mountain tonight and I’m super nervous/excited.

Kerri, that is amazing that you are doing that summer camp the next two weeks… enjoy every second and let me know how it all goes!

3 Things-
1. Ran 14 miles this morning! Longest training run for my upcoming half, was more of a mental game than a physical one today, but I did it!
2. Get out in the sunshine today – the humidity has abated and it’s supposed to be mid-80s today. My legs are tired but I’m going to nap and then I’m going to hang out outside!
3. Dinner and girls night out! There’s a group who plays all covers of boy bands performing at a bar/restaurant in my town tonight and my friends and I are going. That’s why I need a nap! :)

A boy band cover band would be so awesome! Enjoy!

WAY TO GO ON YOUR 14 MILES!! I hope you are loving your girls’ night!!!

Got in a 9.5 mile long run with my cousin and need to clean my house. I think a nap is in order today, too. Other than that who knows!

Can’t wait to hear about your day today :)

That looks like such a fun hike!!

Loved the pic of Brooke running down the trail! I’ve been told I am a fast downhill runner even over rocks and roots and I think it’s because I always imagine how a child feels looking down a hill… excitement, reckless abandon and pure joy :)

We woke up in the mountains this morning so after packing up we headed into town for donuts ☺️. Now my husband is putting beds together for the foster kids that will be coming to our house this afternoon. I better get the floor cleaned before they get here! Can’t wait to hear about your special day. PS – Adams canyon is in my neck of the woods!

Gotta love waking up in the mountains + donuts… heaven! That is so neat that you have foster kids coming! Keep me updated with how everything is going! You must live close to Andrew’s parents… hopefully we run into each other someday!

Long time reader, first time poster. Big fan and you are inspiring me to run my first marathon at the age of 42!

Your daughter’s hair has the most gorgeous highlights. Isn’t it funny how adults pay huge amount of money to get color like that but kids get it naturally and have no idea how envied it is :)

Hope you have a healthy happy pregnancy!

CHRISTINA!!! Thank you so much for your sweet comment and for reading! Brooke’s hair really is incredible, I’m jealous hahaha! Thank you so much and keep in touch!

I got up this morning and did yoga because I got my long run for the weekend in yesterday (4 miles because it’s early in the schedule for us). I have to work all weekend. I successfully made it through a good work day! Then I came home and snuggled with our two cats and two dogs. Bruce and Natasha are the kitties. Dani and Buck are the dogs. They are so sweet. We also had pasta tonight for dinner. It is something I am craving lately! Do you have that as a craving? Hope you all are having a great weekend. You all look so happy!

Reply

HEY AIMEE!!! I hope your work weekend continues to go so well and I love your pet’s names! So I’m not craving pasta right now but it sounds amazing. Thank you and I hope you are having an awesome night!

Thanks! You too!

Oh my goodness Janae, I LOVE that picture of you and Brooke hiking!! You are both just beautiful :)

This is early Sunday, so here’s 3 things I did yesterday:
1. Morning wakesurf session with my husband’s family.
2. Farmers market and lunch with my parents.
3. EPIC quick 2 mile run right before it got dark around 8:30pm…fastest 2 miles I’ve run in months and I’m still riding that runners high this morning!

LOVE the photo of them sleeping! I am glad we have the honeybees too………and they don’t sting really………………the hornets and wasps are what I could do without!

My 14 year old and I just hiked Adam’s Canyon on Thursday. So beautiful!
