My computer decided to stop working (one of my favorite things to have happen;) last night so I am sure you really missed a morning post from me today:) It’s now working so let’s catch up on everything going on in our world since we last talked.
BUT FIRST!! I’m stoked about being a NordicTrack Ambassador! I have the X11i Incline Trainer and I cannot wait to put on 100s (1000s;) of miles on this treadmill and share my thoughts and review with you! So far this treadmill is making it so nice for me to get in my runs when I don’t have a babysitter…. it allows me to get up early and put in some miles and now that Brooke isn’t in school… I will be treadmilling often! I have always loved NordicTrack (my first treadmill ever… the one I got at the start of my blog but had to leave when I got divorced) and the incredible products that they offer. I’m a huge fan. They are the industry’s leading 40% incline (they are the only treadmill on the market that goes that high). I’m stoked to play around with the iFit subscription—> I’ll fill you in on all the details and also share with you the iFit wearable that tracks all of your movement (everything from sleep to working out)!
Life in our neck of the woods:
***I was stoked this morning to run into two of my favorite humans on the planet at the park. I worked for them for years during college but it never felt like work—> more like I just got to hang out with my best friends all day:) We got to catch up on life and it was perfect (but cold and windy;)
*I then met Josse for a 7 mile run. That speed workout that I posted yesterday left my legs feeling like lead! I could not get them moving today but I guess that is a good thing because the hard workouts make us stronger (if we allow ourselves to recover from them properly too).
*Josse is in full taper mode! Her half-ironman is on Saturday and she is going to ROCK IT. I’m so stoked for her and all of the hard work she has put into this training cycle is going to pay off big time in just a few more days.
*After our run I met my sister for a few minutes (ehhhh 7 minutes) of weight lifting. It consisted more of her weight lifting and me talking her ear off.
REWIND TO MONDAY NIGHT….
*Kiddos right out of the bath with a fresh pair of pajamas and ready to snuggle= the best. PS Brooke could stay in the bath tub for hours if I let her… anyone else have a toddler like that?
*I’ve never done this before on the blog but I’d like to introduce you to my boyfriend. I found the best of the best…
*And I know you are dying to know this—> he definitely runs too!
*We had a fun date last night but first a friend of ours gave us a box of donuts… It made for the perfect appetizer before dinner.
*Above donut friend also gave Brooke a jar of sprinkles so her entire week was made.
*We grabbed some Kneader’s salads (drive-thru salads are the best) later on for dinner.
*Brooke had some quality time with our favorite chocolate lab.
So in a nutshell—> that is what has been going on in our world!! I’ll be back in the morning for more randomness!
What has been a highlight for you in the last 24 hours?
Where did you work during your college/early twenties?
Anyone have a lab? Name? Type? Lots of energy?
Feel free to wish Josse luck for her first 1/2 ironman:) She always reads the comments!
