We’ve got an early wake up call to get our 1/2 marathon on. I’ve got a bunch of pictures and a few words from our Friday for you before I hit the hay.
Lunch with quite the view.
The Brooks headquarters where we met with the footwear and apparel designers and had a tour of the building.
A short little shakeout run with the crew.
Made it to the expo right before it ended to pick up our numbers!
Dinner. Brooks always feeds us the best of the best.
Pizza for days.
The olive oil cake was incredible.
Thank goodness for FaceTime.
I’ve got my ‘When I Run, I Run Happy’ shirt and my pre-race bagel. Time to go have some fun with a bunch of other runners.

Have a great run and enjoy the views of Seattle!

My pre-race meal is always a bagel! I used to race at least once a month but I’ve scaled back to fall and winter races and under 8 a year. Don’t ask me why, there is no logic. :)
Amy @ They May be Light
I closed out the expo too! Good luck on the race today!
Susan
Have fun! That pizza spread looked amazing!
Had a 4.6 mile run now for a day of baseball then hitting the pool to play!
Jenny
I wish I raced more! Someday I will. Right now my racing is kind of at a stand still. My goal this summer was to find one race a month to run but it’s not working out that way.
Natalie
Today is froyo and then pool with friends. I love Saturdays. :)
My favorite pre-race meal is a banana and Wheat Thins. Doesn’t make me feel heavy and still provides enough to keep me fueled.
I like to race once a month and am excited to get back to that soon. Hope you have a great race and time in Seattle!!
Jennifer @ JenChoosesJoy

Im doing my trail long run today.
Pre race meal: pasta dinner and banana bread and coffee breakfast
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff
I was up at 4am to run with friends and beat the heat. Got in 8 miles. My face pre race fuel is a soft pretzel!
Have a great run!

What do you have going on today? Going to a bridal shower soon and then resting for my half marathon tomorrow!
Favorite pre-race meal? Anything with carbs! Race morning I’ll be having avocado toast, coffee and a Honey Stinger vanilla waffle
How often do you do a race? a few times a year. This year I haven’t been racing much…the race tomorrow is only my second for 2015.
Have a great day in Seattle!!

We’re going to my friend’s son’s 2 year birthday party. Mowing the lawn, going for a bike ride… The fun chore stuff! :S

Denise @ An Academic Athlete
I did my first group run with our local running club this morning! I have been meaning to go for months, but today a friend and I finally joined them–it was great! My favorite pre-race meal is oatmeal with pb and banana (actually that’s my favorite everyday breakfast). :)
Sam @ Grapefruit & Granola
Hope you have a great run! I’m jealous of that pizza.
Suzy
My plan was to get a long run in this weekend but my husband has kidney stones! We spent the night in the ER. We’re home now, and he’s all drugged up on morphine. It’s not going to be the best weekend ever. :( Hopefully he passes these bad boys soon and feels better.
Ashley
I bet Seattle has incredible eye candy to admire during a run! My favorite pre race breakfast of champions is oatmeal with a banana and just a wee bit of coffee. :)
Arthi
Enjoy your race! Looks beautiful!
Got in 13.1 miles this morning with my running club and am hoping to see Jurassic Park 4 at some point this weekend!!
Favorite pre-race meal … I’m so boring. Grilled chicken salad + Red wine + Lots of bread rolls :)

I am working today, and running a few (really hot) miles this evening. It is like 90 here today. Hopefully at 6 it will be a bit cooler.
I only race 2 or 3 a year……….I have a busy job and find that just a few races is perfect.
I love pizza the night before, and either toast or a bagel with peanut butter or nutella.
Meghan @GetOffYourButtAndRun
Good luck with your race!
I like to race 3 or 4 times a year.
Samantha
Today I ran my very first 10k and it was awesome I finished and hit two of my goals . My next 10k I will hit the third goal for sure. It was such an awesome experience and our city really supports the run, it was like a party. I also gave three packer players high fives and ran through a bunch of sprinklers on the way. Never felt like giving up and can’t wait to run it again next year. Now on the hunt for perfect weekend races to aid in my first half marathon training
Kristina @ Blog About Running
Hope you have a fun race! I only race a few times per year since our half marathon/full marathon season in south Florida only lasts from November through February. You’ll find some 5Ks in Sept/Oct. and March-May but I don’t really love the 5K for various reasons like… pain! haha
Natalie

I want to go to the Brooks headquarters sometime, not that I’m a huge Brooks fan, just because I’m super close to it. haha

Favorite pre-race meal?
**PBJ on wheat, it’s tradition. :)
How often do you do a race?

Run happy! Run well!

We had our annual pancake run today with another group of running friends. It was fun and we were even accompanied by Mr. Incredible blaring music from his bike! It’s the best way to listen to music while running, AND no earbuds are needed! :-)
Morgan @ Morgan Manages Mommyhood
so fun! Have a great time! I’m dying to go to Seattle. Also, I love the rainbow behind the Brooks front desk!
Half Marathon James
