 3 (well technically 4) moves from Megan’s bootcamp:

PicMonkey Collage

Jumping lunges for 30 seconds followed directly by a plank for 1 minute.  Repeat 3 times.

Curtsy lunges with a 20 lb weight.  45 seconds on each side.  Repeat 3 times.

-Push-ups.  I don’t know how this happened but somehow I did them all on my toes.  Bootcamp must be working.  3 sets of 10.

 3 things that I ate:

-Vanilla Rice Chex right before bootcamp.  This stuff is the best.

-Beef Jerky right after bootcamp.  I wanted to branch out and try something other than my norm (I usually get the steak strip jerky at Costco) but as soon as I power through this bag I will be going back to my usual.

– We don’t have a Chipotle in our area but Salt Lake City sure does.  We went up north to watch a friend’s game but it was canceled due to rain so we all went to chipotle instead.

3 reasons to run today:

-It will improve your mood, decrease your stress levels a bit and give you a self-esteem boost—>  ummm yes please.

-It’s another way to prove to yourself that you can in fact do hard things.

-Because your heart, lungs, muscles, bones, brain and the people in your life (because running just makes us much more patient and happier people to be around) will all thank you that you did run today.  

3 things that make me happy:

-Baby feet.  I could stare at my nephew’s little toes all day long.

-This Juicy Fruit gum that tastes like you are chewing candy all day long. 

-That Mindy Kaling announced she has a new book coming out.  I LOVED her previous book, ‘Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (and other concerns)’

-Seattle RnR 1/2 Marathon next month.  I did this race last year and loved it!

-The swimming pool at our complex is opening up in a few more weeks.  Swimming is pretty much Brooke’s favorite thing to do on the planet.

-A weekend trail run because the trails are my happy place.

I’m working a 50 hour work week.
I’ve been taking walks during my 1/2 lunch break because the weather is finally gorgeous.

I can’t wait for my community pool to open! We just moved last month so this will be the first summer having access to a pool. All of your reasons to run are exactly why I am so glad I got to run this morning!

I think we’ll have to give it another 2-3 weeks until we open our pool at our house, although it is supposed to be 86 tomorrow! Three things…
1) gum surgery is painful. I’m recovering from it last week :(
2) the weekend weather will be beautiful. Spending lots of time outside!
3) my coworkers are taking me out for a late birthday lunch today. woohoo!

I’m at physical therapy for my rotator cuff now.
It’s a beautiful spring day and I get to work from home today so I will enjoy the open window and my puppy by my side while working to meet deadlines.
My boyfriend is coming over tonight. I miss him! Haven’t seen him since Sunday. :)

I eat so much beef jerky at work. It’s so easy and portable. I’m glad someone else enjoys it as much as I do.

1. Chipolte intimidates me. I went there once, alone, and didn’t know how to order. So I left and I haven’t been back. Everyone talks about how good it is and I couldn’t figure out how get food to happen.

2. I was just asked to teach a group of kids how to fish. I love fishing so it is kinda a big deal for me.

3. Living in Florida is pretty amazing, I’ve been swimming lots already, but I really miss the mountains.

1) I had NO clue Mindy was releasing a second book! I read her first book in like five minute and CRACKED up the whole way through! Did you hear that The Mindy Project got CANCELED though?? But I heard Hulu is picking it up, thank goodness!

2) I haven’t had Chipotle in way way WAY too long. And that needs to be rectified.

3) It’s a rainy gloomy day here in Texas and it’s so hard for me not to just turn off the lights, warm some tea, and take a nap in my office :)

– I am going to run today during my lunch break at work! I can only ever get in about 3 miles, but it’s better than nothing!
– I am excited to make home-made lentil & chickpea burgers tonight with sweet potato fries and a salad
– I have the last long run of my half marathon training cycle on Saturday and we’re doing 14 miles which will be my longest run ever (previously have stopped just over 13.1)

I’m doing the Rock n Roll half in Seattle also!!! It’ll be my 2nd half so I’m pretty excited/nervous/anxious/scured etc.
My 3 things:
I love my MIL’s peach cobbler
I’m obsessed with my 2 boys
I’m a horrible employee (work full time) because I day dream about running/my kids/new hikes/Kona’s and pretty much all work out clothes all day.

1. I grew up in Oregon, down the street from Nike, and the movie “Pre” was one of the most watched movies of my childhood. It’s a wonder I didn’t become a runner sooner.
2. I’m long overdue for a run aka I haven’t done one since the half-marathon I raced on Saturday.
3. The President is in town today which means we are all leaving the office early to avoid traffic tie-ups. Thank you Mr. President!

BTW, I loved the “You’re a runner if” post yesterday. I’m working on my self-esteem as a runner, and it gave me warm fuzzies.

Not that I have EVER done this before, put putting vanilla chex in my jar of peanut butter/almond butter and then eating them with a spoon is mighty fine.

That gum is muy bueno.

I am also very excited for Mindy Kalings book. Maybe we could read it for ‘book club’ / use it as an excuse to hang out. Yes?

They will be opening a chipotle by me (not for a while, but still) I think we will have to have lunch dates there. Often. I think 90% of the reason of why I like it there is because they give me a scoop of guac the size of my head.

I do not have 3 things, I just wanted to say “aahhhhhh….you are running Seattle RnR, again?!?!?!” ME TOO!!! It will be my 3rd 1/2 within ~6 weeks (it sounded like a fun idea at the time of registering for everything). Not trying to sound crazy/creeper, but I would love to meet you! You will blow right past me on the run with your lightening speed!

1. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia last month. Tiger Balm and Epsom salt baths are my new besties.
2. My first 1/2 EVER is in 9 days (I have only gotten up to 8 miles as my longest run), previously mentioned disease be damned I will finish.
3. Just cracked open a packet of KRAVE sweet chipolte beef jerky..try it you won’t regret it.

1. I just came back from speed work with a run club and it was awful (but good).
2. It was finally warm enough here in Chicago to lay out and get nice and pink.
