I don’t know if I can ever forgive them.

Brooke’s boyfriend is also missing Brooke a lot.  Paige and I caught them holding hands in the car a few weeks ago.

Did you hear about this cute couple?  They ran a marathon EVERY DAY together last year.  365 marathons.  I can barely walk for a week after a marathon.

You can read all about the amazing 68 and 64 year old HERE.

Two beautiful places have combined.  Mountain West Burrito with Waffle Love right next door.

Steak salads and chips and guac.  This salad is so fresh and I love it.  Still drinking the diet coke BUT…. I have cut back a ton lately and I am rather proud of myself.

DSC 9046

I think I said, “I wish this would never end” a million times as I ate my berry and nutella waffle last night.  I haven’t had anything this good in a long time (scouts honor that I am not exaggerating about this waffle).

And things ended with a goodbye to Jess.  She is being rude and going back to the Bay Area and leaving us.  Rather selfish to go back to her job when she should just continue to hang out with us all of the time.

PS don’t drive with cupcakes in your car.  Quite the tragedy occurred when a car cut me off yesterday and I had to slam on my breaks.  I don’t know if I can ever forgive them.

Taco night, last night with a black-eyed-pea casserole. It was delicious, but probably not quite as yummy as your nutella strawberry waffle. I’m a huge waffle fan, so I know I would have been in heaven. New Year’s goal is to get my house ready to sell and put it on the market. Have a lovely day!

Reply

I had a grilled cheese with veggies on it for dinner last night. Was just the warm food my belly wanted!

I don’t drink a lot of soda. And when I do I go back and forth between them. I would pick Diet Dr. Pepper over either of them!

That waffle looks like something we all need to have soon!

Reply

Diet Coke only, I don’t like normal Coke but I looooooove Diet :) Dinner last night was celery root hash, quinoa, and cajun chicken! I’m pretending to be healthy ;)

Resolution #1 is to finish my PhD dissertation but I also really really really want to run a sub 1:30 half!

Reply

Dinner was an omelette I made w/ ground turkey, tomatoes, and cheese!

Reply

Dinner was chicken pasta and green beans aka what I eat every night. I need to mix things up. I think I’d rather have that waffle. I can’t imagine running a marathon a month let alone a marathon a day! That is crazy!

Reply

I haven’t made any official resolutions yet, but I just stumbling across the Run This Year site, and I think I’m going to make it my goal to run 2,014 miles this year!

Reply

Dinner last night was a yummy crockpot meal. Healthy creamy salsa chicken. Yum!
I love coke 100% but try to avoid them because of the fake sugar in diet (hate regular). I drink enough coffee and I don’t need a soda problem too:)
I hope Brooke gets back ASAP so you can eat her up and before her boyfriend gets upset ;)

Reply

I like both – but coke a bit more

Last nights dinner was turkey soup + cheese/crackers. I know, not super exciting. BUT for dessert I had my first birthday cupcake (bday is in a few days)that was given to me by my track coach friend at practice. Super chocolate!!!

Reply

No resolutions- just goals! I posted the other day about how I hate the word resolution. It really seems like you have already failed at something!

DIET COKE. ahhh. My nemesis.

Last night? Leftover chili braised pork that I made into a “healthier” mac and cheese by using a ton of pureed cauliflower and Cabot Cheddar shake… might have dumped some other leftover veggies in there, too- and coated it in a nice pile of pepper jack cheese- perfect for coming in from shoveling! nomnomnom

Reply

What a cupcake tragedy!!! That waffle looks amazing!

I don’t drink soda often, but when I do, it’s diet coke.

Reply

Between coke and pepsi it is 100% diet coke. But diet mt. dew has my heart and that is a pepsi product.

Reply

I’m sad about your cupcakes!! Bummer!

We had homemade chicken vegetable soup for dinner last night. It was so good and perfect since we are snowed in!

I’m a Diet Coke girl. To control the consumption, we keep a couple mini cans in our house. It’s the perfect fix every once in a while. You could try that when you phase it out or cut down.

My resolutions are pretty standard… Lose 14 pounds (ugh), but that’s my goal which will help me run better to meet my other resolutions, running a sub-4:00 marathon and sub-1:50 half. I also want to send a friend a handwritten letter or card once a month!

Reply

I love the idea of the mini cans as a treat! I cut out DC several months ago, and only have one once in a while to treat myself. I’m kind of afraid to keep it in the house, but there are days when I get stressed and I want one so bad! I’m like a smoker with my diet coke! lol

Reply

I can’t keep it in the house, either. Even though I can go days/weeks without it….if I see it, I want it and will drink it….like A LOT of it. I just treat myself when we go out for lunch or something OR if I am grocery shopping I “treat” myself to a Coke Zero (I mean, for all the efforts of food shopping, right?!?)

Reply

Yikes! Maybe you should have tossed one of the cupcakes at the driver that cut you off :).

Definitely coke products, though I gave up soda last year.

We had spinach calzones for dinner last night. Sooo good!

Reply

I made Tamale Pie for dinner last night. It turned out a lot better than I expected. I don’t drink a lot of soda. Back when I did I was a 100% coke girl. Now if I feel like some I’ll take whatever is available. My resolutions are all revolve around growing a healthy baby. 2nd trimester starts tomorrow. I hope the morning sickness magically ends then!

Reply

I think I would have probably cried if that happened to my cupcakes :(

Last night’s dinner was Thai Chicken Stir fry. I sort of made it on a whim but it was yummy.

My 2014 goal: to run a 50k race!

Reply

I’ve always wanted to try waffle love! That looks so good.
I’m one of those weird people that can’t tell the difference between coke & Pepsi. And I don’t care for either!

Reply

I prefer coke over Pepsi, but I like diet Pepsi. Dinner last night was shrimp stirfry. It was the first time we made shrimp at home and it was awesome!

Reply

Holy cow that couple!!! Last nights dinner was Kung pao chicken with fried rice and broccoli and it was SO good! I switch between coke and pepsi…
Right now I love cherry coke zero :)

Reply

I am a fountain Coke girl all the way! I grew up outside of Atlanta, so Coke reigned supreme. And there’s just nothing like a bubbly, fizzy fountain Coke after a long run on a hot day.

That nutella waffle looks amazing. Love the generous scoop of whipped cream on top. YUM!

Reply

What a cute couple just doing awesome things like running 365 marathons together!

I am a diet Pepsi girl. I used to be able to do both, but I went through a period where I drank way too much diet coke and now I can barely stand to even think about the taste! I’m not a big soda fan at all anymore, I like iced tea :) Mmm.

Reply

I definitely have some running goals! Sub 4 hour marathon in the bag:-)

I don’t drink soda anymore (I used to be a diet soda ADDICT) but when I did, it was Coke all the way. I think Pepsi is pretty disgusting.

Last night I had tilapia, rice and carrots for dinner. I worked from 6 am-7:30 pm, so my boyfriend had it waiting when I got home. He’s a keeper:-) Tonight I’m making lasagna, salad and garlic bread!

Reply

I am a Coke fan! We have the Coca-Cola Museum here in Atlanta (you get unlimited samples with your admission!!)

I actually have a thing for Coke Zero over Diet Coke, although I will still drink Diet Coke if that is all that is available. I love Cherry Coke Zero and Vanilla Coke Zero. Yum!!

Reply

Not a huge fan of soda but I can’t ever pass on coke from a glass bottle…tastes so much better! Last night for dinner I was in such a rush all I had time for was cereal. I plan on making up for that tonight with a feast!

Reply

My New resolutions are to try to make up a new one each month… since I’m ADD I figured this might work better???

Reply

Lol, Emma! I love your response! I may need to try that:)

Reply

Love your slouchy sweater! Where is it from? Ps. I know you like hearing about new music, not sure if you’ve heard of them or not, but I definitely recommend checking out Bastille. They have a song in the Hunger Games & I’ve really enjoyed working out to them lately!

Reply

I’m loving Bastille lately too!

Reply

That waffle looks so good!

Reply

I made cookies for a bachelorette party and they were on a plate on my passenger. You have to drive SO SLOW!!!!

dinner last night was a baked pork chop and a mushroom, zucchini, spinach, and corn stir fry! Dessert was pineapple! !

Reply

My resolution is to stop comparing myself to other people. I always get caught up in the idea that everyone else’s life is wayyyy better than mine. I need to remember that I only see the instagrammed/facebooked (aka PERFECT) versions of people’s lives, I can’t compare myself to that!

Reply

I think “Waffle Love” would be the title of my memoir–that looks incredibly delicious!

Reply

Diet coke all the way!!!!!

Reply

Oh no! Cupcake tragedy.. I hate that. Won’t lie, if I have baked goods in my car, I drive more cautious haha I had tortilla soup last night for dinner. It was snowing outside and frigid, so it was the perfect dinner after shoveling the driveway. 100% coke, and only coke products ever. Really, just Diet Coke. Preferably caffeine free (I like the taste more, caffeine actually does nothing for me regardless!).

Reply

Oh those poor cupcakes. That actually happened to me with a cake that I made for a friend’s birthday one year… except the whole thing fell apart, so we improvised and made cake balls out of it lol.

Dinner last night: Mac and cheese with some broccoli and chicken on the side. Was just one of those nights where comfort food was a must.

Reply

That couple is amazing – I love them <3

I was a hardcore diet coke addict. When I started losing weight, I started drinking more water. Slowly diet coke was phased out and I wasn't even trying! I still have one once in a while…

Reply

Sweet babies! I don’t think there is anything better than babies giving love to other babies! So cute! I am not much of a soda drinker, but when i do it’s Coke all the way.

We had chicken topped with sautéed spinach , mozzarella cheese, and Roma tomatoes rolls, green beans for dinner.

I’m a coke or dr pepper girl.

Reply

We had Chipotle last night because it was Chipotle Thursday, a weekly tradition in our house!

Pepsi products, specifically Dr. Pepper Ten. I could drink it every day, but try very hard to keep it to one a week.

I love that marathoning couple, and I notice that they are both wearing Vibrams. So cute!

Reply

I don’t really do resolutions, but my biggest goal for 2014 is to look at everything positvely. I know that is cliche, but I am already a positive person and sometimes things do get me down when they really shouldn’t so I am going to try and work ont that :)

I had leftovers for dinner last night! Black bean, corn, tomatoes, quinoa, brown rice, and spinach soup!

I don’t drink soda – I’ve never really liked it, but I don’t mind Sprite or Root Beer every now and then :)

Reply

those poor innocent cupcakes, they didn’t deserve that fate. Coke all the way!

Reply

I will drink diet coke and diet pepsi but if I have a choice I will choose coke! That waffle looks amazing! I have to say I am jealous of all the food in this post :) Happy Friday!

Dinner last night was veggie burgers with our daughter. My hub and his colleague, however, had fresh rosemary clam fritters with cranberry sauce made by a neighbor. (Rosemary from our front yard and the clams were from a dig a few days ago at the beach under a mile from our home.)

This year I decided to pick two words on which to focus instead of resolutions. 2014’s words are Growing and Beauty.

We’re hoping to grow our family and my hub’s writing is getting picked up by others big time. We’ve started growing the seeds for our organic garden in the greenhouse which excites me as fresh veggies and fruit from the yard protected from the deer and raccoons! (I even have a table and stools in the greenhouse for Susanna … all are welcome to visit!)

Regarding beauty, well, it’s all about seeing it in everything. I became tired of focusing on non-beauty. It’s a good shift in perspective that I’m enjoying and I feel is best we live to share with our daughter.

Reply

Last night we had chicken, turkey sausage, potatoes, bell peppers, and onions for dinner with some other veggies. My husband loves this meal because of all of the meat, but I am honestly thinking about going on a plant based diet so I don’t think I will be eating many meals like this anymore. Oh and I figured you would like this, I am doing my first full marathon in April! I am so excited!

Reply

I am a Dr. Pepper girl all the way… I was going to completly quit soda for the year but decided to cut back to one a day or one every couple of days. I tell myself I CANT have something I want it twice as bad.

One of my goals for the new year is to have more self confidence.

Reply

I’m not a big resolutions gal… I’m a pretty goal oriented person as it is, so I feel like I’m regularly making goals for myself throughout the year. I am on a quest to be more organized and clean things out, and so far, so good! Hopefully I can keep it up. ;)

We had black bean & quinoa soft tacos last night – DELISH!

COKE all the way!!!

Reply

Dinner last night was a delicious spicy stirfy!

Reply

I can’t get over that couple running a marathon every day. I don’t even understand it. At all. lol…Is it sad I can’t remember my dinner from last night? That waffle looks amazing, I totally understand not wanting a fabulous meal to end.

New Years: Keep Blogging, run my second marathon, work on my photography skills!

Dinner last night was leftover pizza- not too exciting

(diet) coke all the way forever

My New Years resolution started kind of early. I signed up for a new gym about 3 weeks ago. And decided to get a personal trainer. So, for the next year I will be meeting with him 4 times a month. He used to weigh 330lbs and has lost it all and become a personal trainer. So, I feel that he’s pretty legit! I couldn’t move my arms for 4 days after our first session. Not an exaggeration. Oh and have you ever done squats on a bosu ball??? Hardest.Thing.Ever. Especially at the end of the workout. My best friend is getting married in June and this MOH is determined to have killer arms in those pictures!

Reply

Dinner last night was actually a PB&J, I was really craving one and also didn’t feel like cooking.

I’m a pepsi max (0 calories but extra caffeine) girl. I never used to be but my fiance is addicted to it and so naturally I started drinking it too.

Reply

I like diet coke :) it’s like crack.

Last night I made homemade gluten and dairy free pizza…it was amazing. There’s a picture on my blog!

Reply

I hate when I get cut off!!! So frustrating.

Reply

Definitely Coke products for me – preferably Coke Zero. Ultimately, Vanilla Coke Zero, but I always have trouble finding that.

Reply

Cupcake disaster! I have done the same thing before.

Reply

Ahhh that cupcake disaster. I did the same with a giant slice of cake that I’d just slapped between two plates after a party one time. That thing went EVERYWHERE.

Now, still working on resolutions, though I really think housekeeping and budgeting a little better need to be a party of mine. I had a salad for dinner last night because my belly doesn’t do awesome when I travel so I decided to stick with something edible and light. And Diet Cokes for the win. I eat organic this and organic that and healthy this and healthy that, but my vice is definitely Diet Coke Products in general. Oh well!

Reply

I gave up pop years ago, but I’d reach for coke or Dr. Pepper if I was still addicted to it! Cupcakes are fine – its the taste that matters! Just lick up some icing outta the container with each bite! ;) Two of my resolutions are to finish a full marathon and try cross fit!

Reply

That waffle looks AMAZING!

Happy Friday, Janae!

Reply

Diet Pepsi. Unless it’s fountain soda then I prefer diet Coke. Yes, I’m weird :)

Dinner chicken, corn, Parmesan noodles.

Resolutions
Less diet soda-
Less processed/sugary foods
Work on a healthier body image especially in front of my daughter

Sub 1:40 1/2 sub 3:40 full

Reply

The waffle looked amazing! I think I will try to whip up my own version. Even though the cupcakes got a little damaged, I am sure they still tasted great, right?!?Goals for 2014: run without injury & have fun! For dinner was chicken stir fry. I have basically given up soda, but I will treat myself when we go out to lunch sometimes. Then I get whatever they offer. But if I have my way, it’s Coke Zero all the way. Mmmm, it’s so good!

Reply

I have been so busy I havent really thought about new years resolutions… I need to get on that.
Dinner last night was steaks at my friends house and we burned their christmas tree.
I love coke products for sure.

Reply

I just want to get back on to eating healthy, and keep pushing myself in my workouts and in school :). I have almost cried when cupcakes were smashed in my car, no exaggeration! That picture of Brooke and her boyfriend is super cute!

Reply

For NY goals/resolutions I usually set just a couple bigger things to work on but I actually did a little longer list of some smaller stuff. Including (of course) lose 15 lbs, expand my wardrobe, and I’m going to do the 52 week money challenge on top of my regular savings!
And dinner last night was scallops, asparagus, and cous cous!

Reply

Oh no! Poor cupcakes!! You need one of those carrying cases made just for cupcakes. Put in on the list for your birthday or something ;)
When I used to drink soda it was Diet Coke for sure. Then I moved on to Diet Dr. Pepper. That was amazing.

Reply

I’m sorry about your cupcakes!

My goal is to run my first marathon this year!

Reply

I’m still a little under the weather so dinner last night was half of a Auntie Anne’s pretzel. Boo. I’m ready to eat something good, but my stomach isn’t.
New Year’s Resolution 12 races this year. Here’s hoping I can pull it off.

Reply

Your dinner looks better than mine – I had some gluten-free pancakes that were not good. I have no idea what I did to them, but ewww.

Reply

That salad looks bomb!!!
I rarely drink soda, but coke all the way no questions! Have you tried coke zero? It’s my favorite soda splurge.

Reply

I don’t know if they are resolutions or goals

1. Find more people to run with. I’m going about 25 minutes away tomorrow to meet people I don’t know to run with.
2. Get to the start of the Boston Marathon healthy.
3. Chicago Marathon?

Last night for dinner I had homemade chicken, broccoli and ziti yum!

Reply

My Mom is such a fan of Coke products that she knew which fast food restaurants carried them and on road trips we could only go to those places – never ones that had Pepsi products!

Reply

Coke all the way!!! I didn’t make any resolutions this year, I’m just going to try and be healthy.

Reply

I have nothing to say other then waffle love.

I will go there eventually.

Reply

I will take you there.

Reply

My first thought when I saw that cupcake picture was that I’d like to empty a carton of ice cream on top and grab a giant spoon. Then I noticed the wrappers. whomp whomp. When I drink soda I’m all Coke products.

Reply

Definitely Coke! Diet Coke that is… Dinner last night was Mahi Mahi , roasted Brussels sprouts & potatoes and fresh green beans, was sooo good!…
And my New Years Goal this year is to run 30 miles on my 30th birthday (October 8th) so gotta train hard & smart this year!
And that waffle looks delicious!

Reply

I’d be sad about the cupcakes too!

Reply

No resolutions on New Year’s day for me, I believe you should make them whenever you need to change something and not just on New Year’s.

For dinner last night we had pasta…. and with dinner I had a dirty diet coke, because Coke is ‘the real thing’ and the only one for me.

Reply

Coke wins over Pepsi. At my work, they alternate Coke and Pepsi machines on each floor, and I walk to the next floor because my floor is Pepsi. It’s worth the walk for Coke!

Dinner last night was homemade fried rice with a side of leftover grilled salmon.

Brooke is such a cutie! My son is 13 months, and the hand-holding is so cute!

I would still eat those cupcakes. One time my MIL accidentally dropped a cake and smashed it into pieces on the kitchen counter. She was devastated, but then she smashed it up more and made a trifle by putting it in layers and adding more icing, and it was delicious! She makes it this way on purpose now.

Reply

Last night’s dinner was a chipotle burrito bowl. Heaven.

Reply

That couple is amazing! Thanks for sharing!

Reply

Diet coke all the way! I hate diet Pepsi. My brother used to work for Pepsi for like 10+ years and would bring everyone cases of stuff….I never took it cause I just couldn’t stand it!

Last night I made this chicken and broccoli and cheese noodle casserole. It was pretty tasty!

I don’t really make resolutions, I make goals I try to reach. I’m sure it’s the same thing, lol. This year my goal is to runy my first marathon, stay injury free, clean up my diet a little bit more, and try to have more fun!!

Reply

Last night I had a variety of pizza and spaghetti for dinner…yummy!

My resolutions are more of living my chosen one word of the year: Courage

Reply

Holy cow that couple is inspiring! I don’t have an huge Near Year’s resolutions, just some small ones like drink more water and incorporate more cross training.

We made some TJ’s coconut shrimp with brown rice and snow peas for dinner. And I am 100% a Coke girl… unless Dr. Pepper is an option!

Reply

I don’t really do resolutions at the start of the year. I endeavor to make changes throughout the year as needed. The big one for 2013 was ALWAYS trust my intuitive sense because it’s ALWAYS right. ALWAYS. Heading into 2014 with eyes wide open and listening to my intuitive sense and speaking its truth. I’ve never been a stanch coke or Pepsi person. Diet dr pepper was always my drug of choice. But I only have it maybe once a year. Dinner last night was entirely forgettable …in fact, I’ve forgotten!

Reply

Dinner last night was turkey/broccoli/rice casserole – yummy!

Reply

Oh man. Running 26 miles a day is something I can’t even fathom. Its time for me to start building up my mileage! Oh…and I’m a diet pepsi girl.

Reply

Coke all the way. Real Coke not the diet stuff.

I too am cutting back on my Coke intake and trying really hard to drink more water.

Reply

I’m with you on waffles with Nutella and berries! My mom makes the best homemade waffles and we top them with those ingredients, exactly. Maybe my New Year resolution should be to eat more of those waffles. And I prefer Coke products but rarely drink soda–I’m actually not a big fan of carbonation!

Reply

My little boy carried the box of cupcakes once and smooshed them. I was heartbroken but trying to act as if it didn’t matter :)

I rarely drink soda (except ice-cold diet cokes after hot long runs in the summer, sometimes) but I really love carbonated water. My fave is Topo Chico, which I think is a Mexican brand? It’s delish! Like Pellegrino but half the price :)

Reply

I can totally feel your pain with the cupcakes! I had bought a couple of the most delicious cupcakes for my very pregnant best friend and was almost back to my car when a huge gust of wind caught the bag they were in turned it upside down and … well, they no longer looked anything like a cupcake. :-( For my resolutions, I’m hoping to run my first ever half marathon! :-)

Reply

Pepsi all the way for me!
Ate grilled chicken salad and rice. New Years reso is : no more fried foods, no more cold stone and run my first full marathon! Oh yeah and no more alcohol. (I enjoy vino. Pretty sure I’ll change that to once a month)

But I didn’t say no more froyo!

Reply

I don’t like Coke OR Pepsi. I know, I’m a weirdo. It makes social gatherings difficult because I always end up with water since my choice is between Coke, Pepsi, or water. ;) Operation: Save the Cupcakes!!!

Reply

Dr pepper! Can’t stand coke or Pepsi!

I had chicken tortilla soup. It was yummy!

Reply

I want to write a great quote every week on a new inspirational board I’ve put up in the kitchen. Also want yo read more in 2014, maybe a book a month is a good benchmark.

Dinner was homemade pizzas, found a great doh recipe.

Don’t like soft drink, but plenty of other naughty habits …. Like ice cream and fro yo….LOVE!!

Reply

I don’t really make resolutions, but I do intend to make a huge effort to be nicer to myself (sounds selfish, but I’ve had it with the negative self talk and put downs!)
And neither Coke nor Pepsi… soda water. Is that weird? If I had to drink one, like my life depended on it, I’d go with Coke because it’s less gross :)

Reply

I wrote a post on my resolutions yesterday! They are to crochet more, play piano more, unplug at night, and be more in the moment. Last night for dinner I had my grandma’s lasagna – I think it is as good as your moms!!

Reply

Dinner was homemade spaghetti – I make a really great sauce!

Diet Coke, but I will drink Diet Pepsi in a pinch. I really need to cut back though! Hmm… maybe my 2014 resolution should be drink 40 ounces of water BEFORE any soda each day. Okay, you talked me into it ;)

Reply

Yummmmmm that dinner + waffle combo sounds awesome!!

Reply

New Year’s Resolutions this year-I have 2. One fitness and one life. The fitness one actually came from you…it is to track my miles this year. I never have, but it sounds like a great idea! The life resolution is to be more positive in everything I do.

Dinner last night-pork chops, salad, mashed potatoes…and diet coke! I love diet coke, but limit myself to one can per day.

My goals this year:
To build up more muscle and tone in my legs and butt.
Read atleast two non-fiction books a month.
Wake up at 5:00am everyday but Sunday.

Last night we made homemade pizzas for dinner.
I don’t usually drink soda because it upsets my tummy, but when I do, I’m a coke person.

There is no competition – COKE all the way

The 60s year old couple that ran the marathons is too cute! I hope I’m in that good of shape when I’m 60 :)

Last night’s dinner was homemade lentil soup + lots of cornbread!

Reply

My resolution is to finish my first half marathon. Only a month left!

Reply

Oh no cupcakes! That’s just wrong…wrong, wrong, wrong. I’m not much into making resolutions as I prefer setting goals (which rarely match the calendar year). But I’m currently working on a goal to complete a 10 mile race later this year, cut our debt by 50%, and eat cleaner. And if I was to have a pop, it would have to be Pepsi all the way. Sorry… :)

Reply

Awww… the cupcakes look so sad. Still edible right tho?
That waffle looks AH-mazing!

Reply

Diet Pepsi all the way over here

Reply

Coke! Regular though, not that diet stuff. Last night I had a spinach/arugula salad. Aaaand chocolate. Lots of chocolate. :)

Reply

DIET COKE!!! Oh help, it is a terrible addiction!!

Reply

Diet Coke for the win!

Also, can I just come to Utah forever and you take me to all of these amazing restaurants I keep seeing on your blog? Literally drooling every time I read. But I will have to be rude eventually and come back to the Bay Area :(

Reply

Your salad pictures always make me so jealous! That one looks yummy – and so fresh! Last night we had an easy dinner of chicken, rice, and broccoli. We just got home from our Christmas/New Years vacation so I wasn’t feeling adventurous in the kitchen! haha

Reply

I once made pumpkin chili for my coworkers and was taking it to school in my crockpot… I had to slam on my breaks and the crockpot tipped over and half of the chili went on the floor of my car and inside my running shoes. There was too much to clean up on the side of the road so I had to wait until I got to the school building. My poor shoes were done for and there is still a small stain on my passenger side carpet where the chili went beyond the foot mat. Sad.

Reply

No resolutions for me. Just goals. I need to blog about them.

We were bad and got Papa John’s last night. I blame it on the husband who texted me after seeing the commercial for the buy one, get one for 30 cents for their 30th anniversary.

Regular old red can Coke for this girl! I drink about a can a day. It seems to help my digestion for whatever reason!

Reply

LOVE these questions (not that I don’t love ALL of your questions though)!

New Years Resolution: To refocus my eating habits and take care of my body better = cool down & stretch after every workout
Dinner: Veggie Stir fry as I am currently doing a cleanse with my roomie for 12 days (no gluten, animal products, high sugar fruits, sugar or caffeine aside from some green tea when needed).
Soda: I don’t drink soda… but when I do, MEXICAN COKE ALL THE WAY!

Reply

I had beef steaks, salad and some rice for dinner. I am trying to be really healthy with my eating at the moment, which was a New Year’s Resolution. I also have a heap of other New Year’s Resolutions, but the main one is to run a half marathon in under 2 hours.

And I am totally a Coke person!

*New Year’s Resolution is to spend time each day doing something physical with the babes, to run more races than I did last year (5), and to finish my masters.
*Dinner last night was a taco crawl that ended at Yogurtland decked out in 49ers gear to celebrate the hubs’ 34th.
*I’m a Pepsi girl but I blame it on being from So Cal.

That title sure got my attention! At first I thought you were talking about something else… ;)

Brooke’s boyfriend is too cute!

My resolution is to get more sleep! Dinner last night was Olive Garden which I think is really going down in quality. But I love their zuppa tuscano soup! And dirty diet cokes all the way!! I am a person who heard that the restraaunt only has Pepsi so I order a dr. Pepper instead of getting a diet Pepsi…

I don’t drink any cokes, but does wine count? Maybe I should resolve to drink less wine..

Also, just wanted to share with you one of those super Pintrest-piration quotes that helped me get through my divorce: “Life becomes easier when you learn to accept an apology you never got.” Keep on keepin’ on! :)

Ahhh!!! I haven’t commented for a long time!! Sorry!!! Anyway, my New Years Resolution is to break 00:21:00 minutes for my 5k time before cross country season starts! Then slowly go even faster!!

I got off the plane from Texas and ate dinner cooked by my grandma! Jet lag makes my memory fuzzy though…

Coke products all the way, but I prefer water! :)

Brooke is cute as always!!! Boyfriends… Teehee!!! :D

Oh jeez, nutella and berry waffle! *Drowls* Brooke and her boyfriend are super cute! :)

I don’t drink soda! My favorite never have I ever is “never have i ever drank a cola drink” surprising but true!

Diet Pepsi all the way, but I will still drink diet coke when it is offered! New Year’s resolution is to appreciate myself more and my non-resoloution is to not shave my legs more than once a week and to wear a dress (with tights because of previous non resolution) no matter what the weather because I feel like it!

My mother-in-law was telling me about this couple. She was listening to a radio interview and they only eat raw food and when asked about sunscreen they said they eat lots of carrot and don’t use sunscreen! Its amazing. In Australia if you don’t use sunscreen you usually burn – badly. I missed a patch while at the cricket yesterday and I’m suffering. I only drink soft drink (aka soda) occasionally when out. Usually a diet coke but don’t mind pepsi. I swing both ways in the soda department! I’ve replaced my diet coke addiction with a tea addiction now. My goal for 2014 is to run my first marathon.

I’m trying to add more healthy things to my life this year. More yoga, vegetables, volunteering and quality time with friends in 2014!

No food yesterday—stomach flu ;(
2014—continue running as a “fun” thing not a chore

that picture of the two of them is so adorable

I am definitely more of a Pepsi product type of girl :) I haven’t really got my goals all written down for 2014, but I am working on it! As for dinner last night, I had Chinese food and it was delicious! :)

That picture of Brooke and her little boyfriend is ADORABLE.

My New Year’s Resolutions for this year are to PR my half marathon time, run over 1000 miles, and to save my money!

For dinner last night I ate a really weird mix of fruits and vegetable from my fridge all in a big salad. It was pretty good surprisingly.

And I’m a Diet Coke addict too! I know it’s so awful for you but it is just so good. Diet Pepsi isn’t actually that bad tasting either though, but usually I go for Coke products.

Daughter just moved to New Orleans (I just flew back after driving cross country with her). We got caught in the Sugar Bowl crowd and in our attempt to get as far away as possible found our food choices limited. We ended up eating at what seemed a very sketchy “soul food” place attached to a laundromat. OMG it was amazing. Ribs, burger, fries, cornbread, beans and a drink for $12.

I prefer Pepsi, but definitely won’t turn down a Coke.

I can’t even fathom running that much! How remarkable. I’m a Diet Coke girl and I am already so sad to give it up this year. We’ll see how long it lasts :) 3 days strong ha!

A marathon…every day for a year?!! That is purely amazing…and romantic…and OUCH! I’m so sorry about your cupcakes…I can just picture it happening in slow motion, and (in my head), crying NOOOOO! At least that’s how it feels when things like that happen to me.
It’s ironic, I didn’t even consciously give up soda for the New Year, but I just realized that I haven’t had any in over a week. And I haven’t missed it! I’m sure I’ll be back on the pop wagon before you know it. I’ve just been too cheap to buy a 12-pack at the grocery store, lol.

Dinner last night was sushi on sushi. I had homemade burrito bowls all week but your picture makes me want another!

Always coke. Most of the time diet, but when I splurge, coke in a glass bottle.

Dinner last night was chicken parmigana…yum!
I have a weakness for Coca Cola but only in cans (weird, right?).
I feel ya on the cupcakes. Last year for teacher appreceiating wk one of my students parents made me this heavenly apple pie…I put it in the back seat of my car and when I stopped suddenly the pie fell face down and went all over my car…sad :(

My new years resolution is to work running back into my life – consistently – no more of this start and stop nonsense.

We had a really late lunch yesterday so we ended up having FMW for dinner last night. The best.

I’m not really a soda person, but on the rare occasion that I do drink it, it’s Coke. Usually Cherry Coke.

I gave up aspartame over two years ago after being a near 12 can a day drinker of either diet coke or diet dr pepper. I’ve never liked regular Coke (or diet Pepsi either), but I do still enjoy a pepsi every once in awhile as a treat. Good fountain Pepsi is the best!!!

Hey lady you did it…last day before your little one comes home, hooray!!!
Dinner was baked chicken stuffed with “spinach pie” ..so spinach, feta, ricotta, onions…it was very very good. Oh and raviolis bc it’s my long run this morning and I have to do it on my treadmill because there is barely any roads due to the blizzard we had. Boo.
Goals: 14 half/full marathons in 2014. And I also want to grow my blog because I am having sooo much fun with it:)
Enjoy your Saturday!!:)

That cupcake picture is the saddest thing ever.

I’m more of a diet coke person. I drink it all the time at school in its various forms (Diet Coke Lime is my favorite!).
