My new favorite pictures and a giveaway from UTAH RUN!!!!

I have two new favorite pictures of Brooke…  Her little personality just jumps out of these pictures.

Whenever I am laying down on the ground (which is often) she loves to come over and tackle my head.

She thinks that she is absolutely hilarious whenever she sneak attacks me and she is getting pretty good at it.   My other favorite part about these pictures is the fact that Curly (my nickname for my niece) took them.  She is just 5 years old and she got my DSLR out of my bag on her own and started snapping pictures.  I see a future in photography.

Speaking of Curly, we celebrated her birthday yesterday.  She got a scooter and a sweet helmet.  She is the queen at posing, as soon as the camera comes out she gets into position.

Say hello to MY new running store.  Utah Run is located at 11055 N Alpine Hwy #200 in Highland, Utah.

This store has it all.  My favorite part about Utah Run—>  their workout clothes.  They offer a huge selection and they carry one of my favorite brands (MPG) which is a brand that has a lot of pieces that remind me of Lulu clothes but they are half the price.  I feel like Utah Run has figured out how to carry clothes that are extremely functional for our workout needs but also really fashionable and cute.  I pretty much wear what I got from this store all day long.

Fuel walls get me every time too (Honey Stinger Waffles and Shot Blocks are almost as good as candy).

The employees at Utah Run are very knowledgable, super friendly and help you to find the right stuff for you and your needs!  Go on over and check it out Utah Friends!

Have you ever seen one of these Flip Belts before?  Utah Run is the only store in Utah that carries them and they are awesome.  You put it around your waist, slide your things into the little pockets and then flip it over… Super comfortable, no way that things are going to fall out and an easy way to carry your stuff on your run.

Hi! My last workout was an 8 mile race to benefit Operation Surf, a program that helps veteran and active duty military get back their health and vitality by teaching them to surf. The most amazing part was that I ran for awhile with a triple amputee. He was amazing! When I later got to the hilly part of the course, I thought of him and his determination and kept on running strong. Best day ever!

Honestly, I can’t even remember my last workout. I adore running but I’m in my final semester of nursing school, which has left me with little time to do anything but work and study. When I do run, I always run with my phone, so the flip belt seems like a perfect tool for me. Can’t wait to start moving again after graduation next month! Say your prayers, please!

I love the flip belt! I ordered mine online. It is so much better than any other belt I have had. I forget half the time to flip it and have never lost anything. It really is amazing! And those socks are my all time favorite! I love those. My 11 year old steals mine for her swimming dryland work outs even.

My last workout was week 2 workout 2 of my c25k programme after being out of action due to ill health for a year so at the moment being able to run feels amazing!! I even carried on with my run 1.5 mins, walk 1.5 mins until I completed 5k after my prescribed workout finished and then did a 7 minute workout app workout – I felt pretty badass after that too!!

I went for a run (post-injury recovery is AMAZING! and teaches you a lot about patience and endurance) and did weight lifting today!
