I was able to read your sweet comments on my treadmill screen while running and watching Parenthood (in the dark… I don’t know why I didn’t turn the light on this morning) all at the same time this morning. I just did an easy 4 miles this morning and I will be going on a trail run with some friends later on.
This morning a reader asked about what my work plans are going to be now that I am getting divorced.
I try not to think more than a year ahead at a time (mile at a time right:) so for the next year I will be staying at my parents’ house (I do pay rent ((although it is a lot cheaper than what I was paying to live in N. California)) and I pay for 100% of my expenses and for Brooke’s expenses because I like feeling like an adult and independent.
Full disclosure: My mom does take me out to froyo a lot and she pays for that.
I love living at home right now because of the emotional support, my parents are awesome and it is nice that I can go run or out with friends when Brooke is sleeping because my mom is home. I am so lucky to have this blog (I talk HERE about how I started the blog because I love blogging and somehow I got lucky enough to turn it into a ‘job’ ((even though I refuse to call it a job because it is so fun for me)) because I get to be with Brooke all day. Who knows… next year may be different but for the time being I am so lucky to be where I am at now. I may go back to teaching when Brooke is a little older and eventually I really want to go back to school and take night classes… we shall see what happens. I hope that answers your question:)
PS I need to stop with the (((((( )))))))s.
I was too lazy to walk upstairs this morning to get my PureFlows to run in so I grabbed my Ravenna 4s out of the closet. Still love them but the PureFlows will always be my number one.
I had a long list of things I wanted to do with Brooke the second she got home so first we went to the park to swing.
Then we had a fall photo shoot (from my instagram: hungryrunnergirl)
Jumped in a few puddles.
And since my landlord only allows one dog at a time at our house we went and got Brooke her very own dog that barks and moves around when you tug the rope. She loves it and has said doggy approximately 300 times since she got it.
And a beautiful grilled cheese with jam sandwich on a rainy day for lunch.
I considered topping my sandwich with almond butter too but I thought that might be going too far.
What shoes did you run in today?
What do you do for ‘work’? How long have you been working there?
What was your lunch today?
