3 awesome recipes and I haven’t done that in a year.

Guess who seems to be feeling much better?!?!

DSC 2620

One of my favorite things in this life is Brooke with a ponytail.  I finally figured out why I love it so much.  It is because I wear a ponytail 99% of the time and my goal is for us to be twinners so it only makes sense that I get overjoyed by her having a similar hairstyle as me.

DSC 2627

I debated putting the below picture on the blog.  Billy’s FAVORITE type of food is Chinese food.  He really has a thing for Panda Express.

My SIL found a recipe HERE for the copycat version of the Panda Express Chow Mein.  Seriously, I felt like I was sitting in Panda Express with my chopsticks eating their chow mein… it was spot on!  Most importantly it is easy and you could add in whatever veggies and proteins that you have on hand.

DSC 2630

My SIL did something kind of silly.  She thought that she was actually a faster texter than me because she uses the swiping app on her phone to text and I just do it normally.  We had a competition where my brother told us what to type and we both would type it and whoever sent the text to him first won.  Let’s just say I am a really fast texter…. I can probably even text faster than I can talk.

It has been a year since I have ridden a real outside bike.  Hmmmm my balance was a little shakey for the first part of our family bike ride.  Who knows how I once did a century ride.

Brooke loved being in the bike trailer which means I need one asap.

Photo 2

I repaid my SIL for the chow mein by making her Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Truffle Swirled Cookies.  I could and will live off of these.  My bro and his wife are quite the peanut butter lovers/professionals so to hear them say these were the best pb cookies ever definitely means that you should make them.  We followed the recipe exactly except we used chunky peanut butter (very good decision) and mini chocolate chips instead of the normal sized ones.

DSC 2642

And then we all lived happily ever after when my brother grilled up some salmon for dinner with roasted potatoes and texas toast.  I have to say, we ate pretty delicious foods yesterday.

Do you own a bike?  Any outdoor cyclists or mountain bikers reading?  Anyone done a century ride before?

Do you swipe text?  Are you a slow, medium or fast texter?

What run or workout are you looking forward to the most this week?

Help me solve a debate that I am having with my brother and SIL.  Oreos:  they prefer the cookie part to the frosting part and I prefer the frosting part…. they like the normal ones better than the double stuffed!  Which do you prefer.. normal Oreos or double stuffed?

My daughter isn’t quite blessed with Brooke’s long locks but I can’t wait for a ponytail stage.
I can text faster and type faster than I can talk… maybe that’s why I blog?

Reply

haha same!!

Emma, Izzy couldn’t sport a pony until about 1.5yrs. Her hair took forever to grow!

What’s the swiping app? I’ve gotta say, I just finished a 3 mile run and drank a protein smoothie and now, after reading this post, I’m basically starving! In terms of oreos, the more stuffing the better :D And in Holland EVERYONE bikes, so I bike everyday. It’s a really crappy bike though but perhaps one day I’ll invest in something and start taking it seriously!!

Reply

I tested out a Felt and am really considering getting it. It’s more my husbands sport than mine. I’m fast without the swipe, it gets on my nerves so I do it normally. Double stuff hands down is the way to go and my 3yr old agrees we eat the middle, the cookie not so much! Glad Brooke is feeling better! Her ponytail is so adorable! I have to try those cookies!

Reply

Just a commenter’s un-asked-for 2 cents.

Felts are solid. Scott loves his. However, he’d consider a Specialized, too or a QR. He had a very, very positive experience at Buffalo Springs Lake 70.3 with the Specialized bike mechanic last year.

I’m sure you know this, but take your time and test out many.

Best of luck!

Thanks Wendy!

Reply

Hubby bikes, I don’t, but I am a SUPER fast texter! However I have a lot of autocorrect #fails

Reply

I hate auto correct!! Sometimes I think seriously that’s what you think I meant to say???

Reply

So glad Brooke is feeling better!

Reply

Super fast texted here :-) and honestly I love all Oreos. I do t discriminate.

Reply

I’m such a fast texter, I don’t usually even know what I’m typing with my fingers but it just works. Same with typing. I couldn’t tell you where the keys are, but the words somehow end up right. I like all kinds of oreos. I don’t particularly like the cookie or the frosting more, but when they’re together it’s just perfect. Double stuffed is the bomb though.

Reply

Definitely double stuffed! We ride bikes at my in laws house because there’s a really long trail – I don’t like riding on roads because I’m afraid I will crash!

Reply

I don’t ride a bike, but may have to learn for the sake of our daughter.

My hub and best bud, however, are cyclists. We’re heading to Montpelier for the Bear Lake Monster Ride in June, and if you have a spare moment- check out this race report of the 2011 Dirty Dozen race

http://am723.blogspot.com/2011/12/2012-dirty-dozen-112611-race-report.html

Yep, that amazing cyclist just climbed Haleakala recently and is part of a a 2014 RAAM- plus being a tri coach. (She also helped me to see my C-section-is-best situation as a “transition” and not DNF last year….after 34 hours of labor.)

Reply

I love Brookes pony. I was a very bald baby and could not even have a ponytail at 1 year haha I love regular oreos. Perfect ratio of cookie to cream :) I am really looking forward to hiking this weekend on our mountain vacation!!

Reply

I’m have a road bike and ride it quite a bit as cross training (and so good when I’m injured and can’t run). I would love to work up to a century…it’s one of my goals for the year. My husband is really big into cycling and does both road and mountain biking and he’s trying to get me on a mountain bike. I’m going to give it a try, but we’ll see how it goes. I’m pretty uncoordinated so I fear that I’ll just fall a lot.

I have to admit that I’ve never sent a text in my life. Shocking, I know. I’m just not big into the whole thing.

I haven’t eaten an Oreo in years, but back in the day, it was the frosting all the way. I usually threw away the cookie part after I ate the frosting.

Reply

I really want a bike. I have images of my husband and I going on bike rides together. I am a fast texter on my phone. I feel like an idiot when I try and text on my husbands phone. I’m really slow there. The swipe thing is cool but I’m slow with that as well.

Reply

So I’ve never even heard of swipe texting, but I’d like to think I’m a pretty speedy typer, so I’ll probably just keep doing it the old-fashioned way. And speaking of which, I don’t mind old school Oreos, but double stuffed are pretty dang good too. I’m not a big fan of either the cookie or frosting parts on their own, but when the two are meshed? Heaven.

Reply

Those cookies seriously look sooooo amazing! I think they would be very dangerous in my home. Brooke’s ponytail is the cutest!

Reply

I have a hybrid bike that I have yet to use this year! I think I’m a medium speed texter, but I guess it depends what you’re comparing my speed to. I’m looking forward to PT this week so I can make a plan of when I can start running again!

Reply

Double stuffed Oreos and a frosty mug of ice cold milk. Yum! I’ve done a 100-mile ride before, and I didn’t want to sit the last 15 miles because my butt was so tired of being in the saddle. My bike has been sadly neglected and gathering dust in my basement for the last few months. I really need to get it tuned up and get outside! But cycling has been the first thing to go since our 2nd arrived. Since my husband and I both work, we don’t want to leave the girls for the good part of Saturday or Sunday to go for a long bike ride. It’s much easier to arrange running around their schedules so we can enjoy lots of weekend family time! I’m sure it will get easier when they’re older, but for now I’m focusing on running more than triathlon.

Reply

Definitely the icing! Did you know they now make a MEGA STUFFED Oreo? Not even kidding – go get you some! :)

Reply

So nice to see that Brooke is feeling better!

I do own a bike but I haven’t ridden it in awhile, time to break it out as summer is finally here!

I’m probably a medium texter. I really don’t like to do it much but as I’m of the electronic generation, I’m fairly good at it.

I’m looking forward to my run today – 4 miles at a medium/easy pace with ny new Garmin! :)

Double stuffed oreo’s are always better – why is that even a question?!?

Reply

I’m so glad Brooke is feeling better. You should definitely get a bike trailer and take her all over CA!

I have a bike, but I somehow managed to warp the front wheel, so I can’t ride it outside anymore. I can, however, still use it on the bike trainer, so it’s good for indoor cross training.

Reply

We have this trailer http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/accessories/trailer/product/review-trek-go-bug-deluxe-dlx-30937 and my 2 year old climbs into it at least 10 times a day and buckles herself in and yells ‘mama’ until we go.
double stuffed Oreos all.the.way.

Reply

My husband and I love to bike! Almost more than running at times :) We bike all the time in the summer! I am a pretty average texter I would say, I have a keyboard (really old school)! I am really looking forward to the long run this week!

Reply

I will soon not only own a Trek Mountain bike but a tri road bike. I pick up my new bike on Tuesday and can’t wait! What is a century ride? I’ve never heard of that?

Not much of a texter

I like all Oreo cookies.. yum! That’s why I never buy them.. I’ll eat them all .

Reply

I have a road bike that I don’t ride as much as I would like. I’d like to ride it to work every week but there’s a really big hill between home and work and my legs are always so tired from running

Reply

Double stuffed for sure!!

I have a hybrid bicycle and used to ride it 5 miles each way to work everyday but haven’t rid since when I was newly pregnant last year and now my babe is 7.5 months old. It’s too much to worry about when I have so much food to keep me satisfied and bringing his pumped milk home too. But I miss it.

Reply

I would really really like one of those cookies, right now! I recently bought a bike and now cycle to work a couple of days a week, and am riding in a 50mile race in a couple of weeks time! Pretty nervous!

Reply

Brooke’s ponytail is the most adorable thing. And all of your food looks so good!

I’m looking forward to running again once my legs get some rest from my half yesterday. My half made me remember why I started running in the first place, and I can’t wait to enjoy it again!

I prefer the cookie part of Oreos, so my answer would be normal Oreos. I think the frosting just gets overwhelmingly sweet if there’s too much of it!

Reply

I was exploring that website that had the chow mein and look what I came across…….http://www.favfamilyrecipes.com/2007/11/jared-and-i-love-cafe-rio.html

Looks like there are quite a few steps, but it may be well worth it! :)

Reply

Ahhhhhhh you are the best!!! Thank you!!!!

Reply

:D:D

Reply

yummm those cookies!

Regular stuffed GOLDEN oreos are my fave. Double stuff is just overwhelming to me!! I can eat more regular stuffed :)

I think I am running a 8k trail race Saturday :)
I am a normal paced texter. I was VERY FAST when I used T9 on my old school flip phone…I miss that phone!! So tiny and I could literally drop it all over the pace and not even care.

Reply

Double stuffed!! I don’t allow the regular ones in the house hahaha

Reply

I had a bike..but then it was stolen from underneath my porch, so now I don’t have a bike :(

I am a fast texter. I saw something on Pinterest that said “no one texts faster than a pissed off female.” It made me laugh.

I like double stuffed Oreos, but I don’t eat Oreos that often. The Easter bunny brought me chocolate covered Oreos and they are still sitting in my fridge. I think I have like 4 left. I’m disappointing.

Reply

I rely on autocorrect… mostly because I don’t have patience to sit there and make sure I hit the right button every time and partially because I find it hilarious what it comes up with.

I LOVE outside bike riding. We do it more on vacation or the trails on the weekend then anything.

Reply

Wow, that’s awesome that you did a century ride! I’ve never done one, but I have done two 2-day trips where we did about 80 miles each day. Those were fun! Lately I’ve just been using my bike to commute to work–16 miles round trip every day. I love it! Have you done any triathlons? I haven’t yet, but both of my sisters are this year (one is doing an Ironman!!!).

Reply

I don’t bike, but I think I would like it. I had a terrible (almost deadly) wreck in high school and I haven’t gotten over it yet. I’m a super fast texter. I teach high school and teach them via my ipad (on the projector) daily. I guess I feel the pressure to be fast since they are watching me text/type during our lessons!

Reply

So glad to hear that Brooke is feeling better. I always hate when babies and pets get sick because they can’t tell you what hurts/what’s wrong. I don’t own a bike, which is a major reason why I don’t compete in triathlons. I wholeheartedly agree that it’s the frosting that makes the Oreo and the double “stuft” ones are the best.

Reply

I’m not a fan of oreos- unless they are the chocolate stuffed oreos.

Reply

We have moutain bikes and try to get out on them as much as we can, but usually that is maybe a few times a year :(
I don’t swipe, and would say medium, silly autocorrect slows me down!
I am looking forward to this mornings run with my husband outside!
Of course double stuffed is better!!

Reply

I want to Swipe, but there isn’t a decent app for it on an iPhone. Oh well. And who doesn’t love Panda Express?

The Kidless Kronicles

Reply

I love my girl Giant bike – I live in a hilly subdivision and husband (who has a boy Giant) and I often ride the 1.5 miles down to our mailbox and back. It’s also a great cross-trainer on non-run days!

I only like Oreos crushed in ice cream so the frosting/cooking debate isn’t an issue.

Love the faces on the texting picture! I’m not that fast but swype drove me nuts so I’m back to the “old fashioned” manual way, ha!

I’m so glad Brooke is feeling better!

Reply

I have a bike, but I don’t ride it very often. My husband just got his own bike, so we’re trying to make it a thing to go on rides together (cross-training for me!). We live very close to the rail trails in our town, and are moving to a town with bike trails (though we don’t know how good they are) in 2 months!

Double-stuf, or better yet, MEGA stuff! (And while I love the regular chocolate oreos, we got sherbet ones a few weeks ago that are amazing! We were also obsessed with the peppermint crunch ones at Christmastime.)

Reply

Haha those cookies look so yummy!! When it comes to oreos I prefer the cookie part, although the frosting part is really good too. I’m just always a fan of the baked part of any food more than the frosting- cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, etc. I’ve tried the swipe texting, and I liked it, but now I’m back to regular texting.

Reply

Love grilled salmon!! I am so jealous of all of your eats yesterday! :)

Reply

Literally just stole all of those recipes, haha. Those cookies look insanely good!

Reply

I haven’t seen the swiping part of texting in so long, I didn’t know they still did that! Texting all the way!

Reply

Omg, ponytails are the best. Especially on babies. I know nothing about this swiping while texting!? I am the queen of auto correct.

Reply

Double stuffed. Pffft. Like that is even a question!

I love that ponytail on Brooker. So dang cute.

I don’t even know what swipe testing is. I am slightly challenged in the technology area. But still a medium texter.

I own a road bike – I used to do triathlons a lot and I really should do another one. The farthest I have ridden is 50 miles though. Just thinking about a century ride makes my butt and neck hurt. I just got a beach cruiser for my bday though because my kids are always wanting to go for bike rides and I feel weird taking my road mike out for that. I absolutely love my new bike.

Could you send me some of those cookies, stat? They sound like heaven. I will be making them soon for sure! Just pinned the recipe. Eat lots of them for me today ;)

Reply

I take a holistic approach to the Oreo in that the frosting and cookie must meet, together, in the perfect union of crunchy, chocolate-y cookie and sweet, sweet soft frosting to make it the amazing experience of delicious that it is. I’m kind of the Switzerland of the oreo debate.

Reply

i just got a road bike from my wonderful boyfriend for christmas! i’ve always mountain biked, but i’m sooooo looking forward to this!

and it is also the workout for which i’m most excited this week. i have been training for a half, and just completed it this weekend (sub two hours!!!!!!! i’m so proud =] http://www.dandelionrun.org <— it was so beautiful!!! and HILLLLY whoooo baby!), so now biking is on the agenda.

thanks for always making my days BRIGHT with your posts! xoxoxo

Reply

I have a walmart bike that’s pretty sweet haha I haven’t ridden it in a year or so either! My husband is a mountain biker and rides pretty much everyday. He loves it! He just signed up for his first mini triathlon, so proud of him!

Reply

Be careful with the bike trailer…babies are supposed to be at least a year before riding in one, and they should always wear a helmet inside of them that fits them really well.

Reply

Thank you for letting me know about that!

Reply

I just got into biking a few months ago, and I’m currently looking for a century to train for. I love riding!

Reply

My hubby is trying to figure out how to convert our BOB into a bike trailor.. eek. apparently kids are supposed to be 1 and wearing a helmet here to ride in them!! ( I think the one is because helmets are heavy)

Reply

I do own a bike and after nearly 2 years of having it I’m finally riding consistently- I just did my first ever duathlon (runnning/biking/running) yesterday actually, it was so much fun! I really want to train for a century ride now.

Double stuffed, hands down. Why would anyone want less of the delicious frosting?!?

Reply

I own a Trek hybrid and I just recently started riding again. I helped a good friend train for a triathalon and we did a few 25 mile rides.

I like double stuffed, but I prefer to have bites of cookie and frosting…not just frosting :).

The next debate…regular oreos or vanilla oreos?

Reply

I ran in two 5Ks this weekend (and placed in both!) so I’m looking forward to some relaxing workouts this week and recoveries. Perhaps an elliptical workout or two while watching some good tv :-)

I’m definitely a medium fast tester.

For oreos, gotta go with double stuffed. How can you go wrong with more filling??

Reply

I do have a bike but don’t use it near enough. I have two little girls – almost 5 and 2.5. They love riding in the bike trailer. Definitely a must buy!

I do Crossfit, so I don’t know what my workouts will be this week. That is what I like about it. Variety, fast paced, intense, fun! This mornings was tough and not the most enjoyable as I need a lot of work on handstand pushups and T2B. I did have 100 Double Unders to start todays WOD, which I love!

Oreos – not a huge fan! But, I would rather have the cookie part than the filling. So regular for me. I don’t like icing on my cake either!!

Medium/Fast texter. I didn’t really think I was very fast until my father-in-law said something about how he didnt know anyone who could text that fast when he saw me texting.

Have a great day! Brooke’s a doll! Love ponies. Both of my girls were sporting them yesterday!

Reply

I’m a wanna-be outdoor cyclist? Nah, I’ve done some decent outdoor riding, I’m just not nearly as confident about it as I’d like to be!

This week, I’m most looking forward to my weekend long run (since this past weekend’s run was so freaking awesome!), and a 90 minute spin session on Friday!!

Reply

Sooo glad that cute girl is feeling better! Yum, your day does look like it was delicious!

The frosting part is the only reason to eat the cookie part. You win.

Reply

COOKIE PART IS THE BEST! I hate that they will make a mega stuffed cookie but no NO FROSTING cookies. Not cool nabisco, not cool.

Reply

Cookie part!! Now I want Oreos.

I use the swiping app and I’m still a terrible texter. My friends know this about me and always laugh at what my texts might say. I’m also too lazy to fix them.

Reply

Ahh I hate typing on my phone! I am a keyboard girl at heart.

You must must must get a bike biggie for Brooke! Some of my best early memories are of family bike rides, with my parents rowing my brother and sister!

Reply

I really want to get a road bike but have been hesitant because of the money, really because my state we have summer for 3 months and it then snows the rest..

Reply

I’m a cyclist! Well, when the weather permits, which is sadly only a portion of the year where I live. I bought a road bike last year and after I got over the terror of being clipped into a bike, I fell in love. It’d also been years since I’d been on a bike at all, so I was pretty shaky too.

Both the chow mein and the cookies look amazing! More recipes to add to the list. :)

Reply

Brooke’s hair is soo ridiculously cute!!! I am a swipe texter, just got a new phone and am getting used to it. Some of my texts are pretty funny if I don’t doublecheck what I’m typing :)

Reply

Sorry, girl, I prefer the “normal” Oreos. Actually, my absolute favorite are the vanilla Oreos. But I don’t like double stuffed. ;)

Reply

I like double stuffed Oreos, but that’s just because you get to eat more cookie but, you still get say, “It’s only ONE.” I have no idea what a swiping app is. I’m a pretty bad texter for having grown up with texting. Or maybe I am just a bad speller forcing me to sort through auto correct every time I misspell a word, making me slow as anything to send a text…nah, we’ll blame the texting.

Reply

I own a bike, but I don’t ride often, terrible balance! BUT my brother is an avid biker and he has done numerous Century races (at least 5) , and bikes every single weekend! I am looking forward to possibly swimming some laps this week, and I haven’t even heard of swipe texting before, but I’m a fast texter! :)

Reply

Aw, I’m happy that Brooke is feeling better! I love the serious faces during the texting competition haha.

Reply

Oh, double stuff oreos ALL THE WAY!!! No question. The cream is the best part!! I do own a bike, but it’s a cruiser. It’s baby blue and has a basket and it is my baby. I love it :) I’m definitely a fast texter, too. that picture is hilarious! I love your intense face! haha

xo

Reply

Double stuffed oreos for sure! I do own a road bike, but I’m living in London right now, and being on the bike means being dangerously close to the cars – which is terrifying! I love Brooke’s ponytails, she is just too cute!!

Reply

The first pic of Brooke is just TOO much. Makes me miss my now 6 year old’s gummy grins!

As for the Oreo debate, I suggest taking any Oreo, opening it up, laying a piece of Hershey’s chocolate on one side, topping with a marshmallow, and microwaving for about 10 seconds. Then slap the other cookie on there and eat, and everyone will agree it is the most delicious Oreo ever. :) OR if you are feeling really crazy, substitute peanut butter for the chocolate and still do the rest.

Reply

I don’t think I am very good at texting. I do it the regular way and cannot stand the swiping way to do it.

As for Oreos, I am just not a huge fan. I guess my favorite way to eat them would be in the form of an oreo truffle…..crushed, mixed with cream cheese and dipped in chocolate!!

I LOVE Panda Express Chow Mein noodles so I really need to try to duplicate them at home.

Reply

Where are your helmets??!!!
I am a cyclist. Ride 60miles yesterday!
Terrible texter. My kids rock at it!

Reply

How is it that you eat all this amazing food and weigh 86lbs? I run 25+ miles a week and I just gained weight reading this post. Maybe it’s because I can’t text as fast. I’m sure you burn more calories that way. (Thumbs are part of your core, right?)

Reply

Yes I have a Gary Fisher bike and I love it! I just use it for fun.
I am not a swipe texter.. I am the regular old fashioned iPhone way. I must say I am pretty fast too.. :)
I am looking forward to my long run this Saturday!
DOUBLE stuffed all the way!

Reply

I actually just got a bike a few weeks ago for riding-to-work purposes…the first time I had been on one in almost two years! I was definitely a little shaky the first couple of times out.

Reply

Yes! I love to mountain bike, but I’ve never done a Century Ride

I have no idea what swipe texting is, and I think I’m average

My 3 miler!

Reply

i try daily to convince my bf that we need bikes. we bought helmets and borrow my parents, but i want our own to ride ALL the time!!

and that chow mein looks delicious!

Reply

I own a bike (bought if off a friend of mine about 4 years ago) and I, shamefully, have not gotten it all gussied up and ready to ride. What is wrong with me??

I have a Blackberry….it’s all about the keys!

I’m looking forward to my run on Saturday morning….I plan on going to the beach!

Umm….TOTALLY Double Stuffed! If I had my choice, I’d rip off one side of the Oreo and eat the side that has all the frosting and just ONE of the cookies. That’s a more appropriate cookie/frosting ratio in my opionin. ;)

Reply

I’m a fast texter too!

I love salmon :)

Reply

Regular Oreos for me, please! I hadn’t even heard of the swipe texting until last week when one of my friends showed me.

My sons loved riding in their bike trailer when they were little! Even with my husband pulling them, I still couldn’t keep up with him!

Reply

I just got into biking. I bought a comfort bike last year and knew right away I wanted something faster. I bought a Jamis road bike a couple of months ago-I love it. I didn’t know you biked. That must have been before I discovered my favorite blog ever! That second picture of Brooke looks like she’s saying “come on Mom, enough with the pictures already” haha (but don’t stop taking them!)

Reply

Those cookies look amazing! I can’t wait to try the recipe. I just made these chocolate chip ones a couple weeks ago and they were so rich and delicious.

http://www.shutterbean.com/2012/jim-laheys-chocolate-chip-cookies/

Also, Brooke’s pony tail is pretty awesome lol.

Reply

Ugh my secret shame is that I’m 25 years old and never learned to ride a bike! Yes I had a very deprived childhood. My boyfriend is an ex pro cyclist, so he thinks it’s HILAAARIOUS. He bought me a BEAUTIFUL yellow bike (complete with white basket!) for my birthday a couple of years ago, and has been trying to teach me, but I am just HOPELESS. Mostly because I’m so, so, sooo nervous on it. I know once I get my confidence up I’ll be fine, but man… I wish I’d learned when I was like.. 4 like everybody else!!

I am a beast of texter. Don’t mess with me.

I’ve never had double stuffed Oreos (I don’t think we have them here in Australia?), but I’d have to say the appeal of Oreos to me is the HARMONY of the ingredients.. the way the cookie and filling balance and offset each other. It’s a beautiful thing. hahah. So I couldn’t possibly choose one particular element – they’re just meant to be together!

Reply

Looks like Brooke is feeling better. I am super slow texter

Reply

Double stuff
We just got a Panda Express and now I know what I will try first!

Reply

I love riding my bike! I just got a new Diamondback. Holy cow I need to make those cookies. I’m salivating… this is too much yummy food!! So much goodness!

Reply

Double stuf all the way!!! BUT I think that I might like the cookie part better too…that’s just because my love for chocolate is ridiculous and irrational.

Reply

bike trailers are wonderful. we went out last night (my first time of the season) – it’s been a LONG winter. and the ride was awesome. we probably did 12 miles with the trailer. the husband pulling of course. together my kids weigh 80lbs! and that’s no joke pulling them. i am hoping to get into mt. and road biking this year. i did mt biking last year and LOVED it. i have a mt. bike so that helps. i don’t have a road bike but it’s on my wishlist. my husband is a bike guru and can sell one of his 6 to get me one i think;)

Reply

I love that you call it Texas toast, too! I am a Texan and I thought it was just our own weirdo term!

Reply

Just read your post about the 16 year old runner, but I closed that tab..
Anyways, I am also 16 and ran 1:39 without giving it all I have. It was nice, I hope I will improve to closer to her time soon! >:D
