14 days until we find out the sex. Long story short: the only plane we could catch to Cali (we are going to check out law school stuff) made it so that we had to miss my ultrasound appointment. Since we live in the baby making capital of the world I couldn’t reschedule my ultrasound until the 25th. I did get to go in and hear the heart beat today which made me beyond happy.
A list of some firsts:
1. I bought my first pair of maternity pants (capris) from Gap the other day and holy cow what a difference that elastic waist makes. I don’t think I will ever go back to normal jeans. Jeggings are also another one of the best inventions ever.
2. First time that Billy felt the baby kicking around the other night when we were hanging out on the couch. Dang, that was fun.
3. First time that I understood why my mom spent 40% of her day worrying about her kids. I have already turned into the worrier of the year and can’t stop worrying in between kicking sessions that everything is okay.
4. First time I had a uterus drawn on my iPad. I am hating not being able to sleep on my back and so I made my brother that is a doctor explain exactly why you shouldn’t sleep on your back when pregnant. He did copyright the picture (the little c in the corner) but I am putting it on my blog anyway. My dad is fast asleep on the couch and I am making a grossed out face as my brother is talking about blood.
5. First time I turned down Panda Express. Why does chinese food sound so awful all of the sudden?
6. First time during pregnancy that I haven’t cried for an entire week, it is a miracle.
7. First time I realized how drastically my life is going to change in a few more months… no more sleeping in until 10 and going running whenever I want. I couldn’t be more excited.
And just for fun, a cute picture from the park the other day. He didn’t know which way to go and so she had to show him.
Where do you/did you buy maternity clothes?
How do you sleep? Was it hard for you to adjust sleeping positions when pregnant?
When did you fit your workout in after having a baby (babies)? During their naps? When your husband got home? First thing in the morning?
1. I hated maternity clothes but I did like Old Navy’s pants. I just bought a lot of things that stretched pretty far from the woman’s section.
2. I slept on my back the entire time. I know everyone says you’re not supposed to but I couldn’t sleep any other way. I listened to my body a lot. If it was ever painful or something wasn’t right, I stopped doing whatever I was doing.
3. First workout was 4 weeks after having baby. I did Jillian Micheal’s and it was always while they napped. I didn’t breast feed so I had a lot of time to myself since babies eat, poop, sleep the majority of the first three months.
Kohls..most of it from there, bras, pants, shirts..undies I didn’t replace..just bought new afterwards..trust me , do this unless you need to buy new ones. If you need to get them cheap
HAHAHAHA! “Since we live in the baby making capital of the world” <— Probably the funniest thing you've ever said!!! :D
Morgan @ Crazy4Oats
Billy is for sure going to law school in California?! Congrats to the both of you!!
I love the picture of Billy and curly. She is the cutest kid in the world! I don’t know how you don’t take her home with you! Just adorable!
Shay @ Whine Less, Breathe More
I resisted pg clothes my first pregnancy for a long time. Then I finally gave in and was mad at myself for waiting so long. They were comfy!
I was a tummy sleeper before I became pg. Learned very quickly to lay on my side with a pillow under my belly and between my knees.
Love the photo of Curly telling B which way to go!
For maternity clothes, Old Navy was fabulous, as was Target’s Liz Lange collection– (check their clearance racks!). When pregnant with my twins, I think I pretty much lived in knit maternity gaucho capris from Old Navy. They had this huge waistband you could roll down/fold over. Awesome!
I usually sleep on my stomach and had to switch to sleeping on my (left) side. After awhile, I arranged different pillows between my knees and behind my back.
For workouts, I had to wait until my husband was home and often had to wait until the weekends to do reasonably long workouts, since he got home during the ‘witching hour’ when nothing would console the little ones, so I wasn’t comfortable leaving when they were wailing!
Jenny @ simply be me
Dresses and leggings are my go-to pregnancy clothes and I don’t even have to buy maternity ones – the leggings help that the dresses become shorter and shorter as the weeks go on :)
I run when my husband gets home. I would love to run in the mornings but our son is a light sleeper and wakes up as soon as I start moving around. Everyone is different though and you’ll figure out what works best for your family.
I bought a lot of my clothes from Shade, Old Navy and Gap or just went up a size at AE (in shirts. NO WAY I could do that in pants like some people. It hurts to have those jeans dig into your belly).
I am sorry you have to wait another 2 weeks to find out the sex. But now youwill find out on my birthday! Holla! It is the perfect date anyway. ‘Not too hot. Not too cold. All you need is a nice jacket.’ Name that movie! I think we need to have a blogging baby shower for you when you find out the sex.
Being able to sleep on my belly again after the baby is born is the most amazing feeling ever! Almost as cool as when the mr. gets to feel the babe move too. It really is SUPER cool to have them finally get to see and feel them too. I am so happy for you guys! SO fun!
I do my workouts in the morning before everyone gets up. It is just nice to get it out of the way and not have to worry about it or then get distracted with all the other mom responsibilites and it gets cut. But sometimes it will happene during naps (ow what USED to be nap time. Sad day.) or like today I took them to the day care at the rec center mid morning and got my run on.
I was at city creek mall yesterday at H&M and they had some really cute maternity clothes. They weren’t too expensive either. I will be shopping there next time I am pregnant ( not for a looong time :)) but I do love old navy and gap. I slept on my sides for both pregnancies and now I rarely sleep on my back. It must have turned into a habit for me. As far as working out goes…I don’t know. My baby is almost 1 and I still struggle to find the best time to workout. I just try to get one in at some point in the day. Its a big adjustment but so worth it. So excited for you to find out what you are having. You must go to the same group of doctors that I go to since you are having to wait so long. Valley OB/Gyn?
Have fun on your trip!
Oh my gosh!! Chinese food was so barfy to me when I was pregnant! I’m not back to eating it 9 months later!
I bought some maternity clothes from forever 21. The most comfy pants I’ve ever had we’re my maternity pants from there!
I am a major stomach sleeper but slept on my side during pregnancy. It was such a hard adjustment. The worst was towards the end when the heartburn was so unbearable I had to sleep sitting up.
I put the babies In the jogging stroller and go for runs with them In warmer weather and run on the treadmill during naps in cold weather.
Getting in some types of workouts were really easy – I lifted weights while my son slept. I took the baby for walks (get a jogging stroller and you’ll be able to run/jog along) and then went solo once the husband came home.
I shopped at Target mostly – loved their Liz Lange line!
I got my pants from motherhood maternity…the only ones I could find long enough for me!
That’s funny, because I crave chinese food like crazy all the time.
One of the things I get super excited for when the pregnancy ends (which will be in ONE WEEK…yay) is sleeping on my tummy again. I get jealous of my hubby. Unfortunately, I am stuck in the “you can’t sleep because your belly is so huge it pulls you to one side and when you try to roll over your back hurts, so it takes full consciousness and four different movements to switch sides while trying not to wake the hubby (which doesn’t usually work)” which is awful…but totally worth it because of the angel (which brings more joy and love than you can imagine) you get at the end!
Whenever I have the energy…before work at 5am if I haven’t been up with baby, at 2pm when she’s napping, or any other time Scott is willing to take her for an hour or more.
I shopped at Old Navy, they have the best, in my opinion. I’m a side sleeper, which is good when pregnant but I had a ton of pillows that had to move with me when I flipped sides. I had a pillow behind me, between my knees and towards the end I had a really squishy pillow under my belly :)
I’d work out when hubby was home or when baby was sleeping, but after they were a little older cuz if they were sleeping, I was sleeping :D It’s hard when your so tired, sleep trumps all to me.
I just want to know why you invested in white maternity capris. I’ve read your blog long enough you do spill food every once in a while :). Title nine has the best bras for maternity and nursing. Dang I miss those things. Enjoy them. I had no idea how 2 kids can deplete the milkers.
I got all my maternity clothes from gap, target and Ann Taylor Loft.
The first few months working out with a kid is tough (which is probably good because it makes you take it slowly) and I would do a lot of videos while the kids slept. Once they’re big enough for a jogging stroller (about when they can sit up well) and a bike trailer (not legal until they’re one) it opened up a whole new world. Although it’s tempting, don’t start those too early (I made my husband give me a ride in the bike trailer once, it’s bumpier than you’d expect and you don’t want to hurt their necks/shaken baby syndrome or something).
Sleeping while pregnant is the worst. No back or stomach. Why even bother. Towards the end I started sleeping in a recliner leaned back so I could sleep “on my back” It worked for me.
I like to wear leggings and dresses while I am pregnant!! I did just get some cute capris at gap maternity and I love them!! Old Navy online has great stuff too!! Good Luck!!
Sleeping is hard… At 32 weeks nothing is comfortable! I get restless legs and toss and turn all night long! But, it’s all worth it! :)
I get my workouts in with my baby in the jogger!! I now get to invest in a double so my toddler and new baby at the end of may both have a seat!! Yay!!
I know we gave you a hard time the other day, but truthfully there is nothing greater in this life (and all of eternity) than those sweet children. I get emotional just thinking about how meaningless life would seem without my sweet kids. You are going be the greatest mom! When that new, perfect baby wakes up in the wee hours of the morning, I guarantee you’ll be excited to get up and snuggle them. It’s one of the only times you are guaranteed to have them all to yourself!
I’m only 15 weeks along, so I haven’t had to buy new clothes yet, but in preparation I was looking around the other day and JC Penney has some really good prices on maternity clothes. Also, my bestie (mother of 4), says motherhood maternity’s jeans, the ones with the big piece of fabric that goes over your belly, are the most comfortable maternity jeans.
We find out in about 4 weeks what we’re having, and I have no idea how i’m going to wait that long, I just want to know!! I can’t wait to hear what you’re having. :)
In my 2008 pregnancy, I bought maternity clothes where I buy running clothes: Target! One pair of cargo pants with the awesome waistband (like yours above) may or may not have been included in the post-pregnancy wardrobe for about 18 months! So cute & comfy.
With my first pregnancy (1998), I trained myself to sleep on my left side instead of my belly. By the end, I’d have to wake up to heft my belly over and sleep on the right side and back again several times a night. Now I always have to be on my left side to fall asleep.
Fitting in workouts is a matter of negotiation ;) At first, the jogger helps, but then it’s a lot of weight–and doesn’t work so well for hills, intervals, track, etc.!
Can’t believe you’re halfway there! You look amazing.
Liz @ runbakerace
I started buying maternity clothes with the elastic (love) around 18 weeks. Can’t wait to hear what the sex of HRG Baby is!!! Yay! The sleeping positions work themselves out. I used to sleep on my back also but around 22 weeks, it got too heavy and I had a hard time breathing. Now, I’m just a side sleeper but at 39.5 weeks, that kind of stinks too. :)
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats
I’m going to have sleeping issues when I’m pregnant – I always sleep on my stomach! But I sure am going to love wearing jeggings 24/7. I’ll probably start that at like… 8 weeks.
Kari @ Running Ricig
I usually sleep on my side.
Why exactly can’t you sleep on your back when you’re pregnant?
Katie @ msfitrunner
It is crazy how much life changes with a baby, but you quickly forget what it was ever like before babies! I would workout whenever I could – naptime, before they got up, in the evening, when they got a little bigger I would put them in the jumper next to me on the treadmill – get creative!
But, I was never a napper – so I never napped when the babies napped. I couldn’t even fill up one hand with the number of naps I’ve taken since I had my first child 5 and a half years ago. So if you are a napper, it’s a little harder to fit it in when they are napping!
So much fun!!:)
Cute picture of your niece and Billy!
Loved this post :)
Sorry you had to reschedule your ultrasound! I bet you can’t wait to find out the sex. I bought a lot of maternity clothes from the Gap and Old Navy and some basic stuff at Motherhood. Maternity pants are the best. I loved those elastic waists. After I had my kids, I continued to wear those pants for months.
What law schools are you guys looking at?
Every time I read these baby posts I think, “Awwww.”
I bought the majority of my maternity clothes at Gap or Old Navy. Most other stores seriously lacked in the “tall” department so I really just felt lucky I could find stuff where it didn’t look like there was a flood coming (or in the case of dresses like I was going to do a pregnant strip tease).
I sleep on my back and I kept freaking out because I would attempt to sleep on my side and wake up on my back. My Dr. assured me that if sleeping on my back was harmful to me or the baby I would wake up. It was true – in the last trimester (with both kids) I couldn’t breath on my back.
Working out was hard with a newborn/infant. I see these bloggers getting back to running/intense crossfit workouts at 4 weeks post-partum and it makes me tired. Not only was I exhausted from sleep deprivation, but BFing/pumping sucked the life out of me (although, I wouldn’t ever NOT do it!) so I was lucky if I got in 2-3 workouts a week. The good news is that after the first year (or really even 6-9 months) things became “normal” again. Just better!
Did you try the belly band? I hated it. I bought maternity ants at 13 weeks. It felt amazing. Although my jeans still fit it was unfortunate when I sat down. Nice jeans with elastic waist, yes please!
Definitely get some extra pillows to help ya get comfy on your sides. I began sleeping with 5 (2 for my head, one for each side of me to keep me on my side and one for between my knees) And i never gave up any of those pillows either! i still need that many!
I definitely took advantage of nap time for getting a treadmill run in or workout dvd. I even moved a swing and pack n play into the room with the treadmill but always felt guilty and a lil worried that i was hurting her ears with the loud machine. With the 2nd, the oldest would be at Parents Day Out and i would run/walk at the park with him in a stroller. Worked great! (super arm workout too!)
Buy a Snoogle, it will change your life! Loved my maternity jeans SO comfy!
HA Everytime I see Curly in a picture it makes me smile! She is the cutest thing!
I LOVED everything I ever bought at Gap. Target and Old Navy, not as much because of their fabric choices. Sounds strange, I know, but Target and Old Navy pretty much have regular old cotton shirts that don’t stay down over my belly. However, the Gap has stretchier shirts that are longer and cover my WHOLE belly. Even now that I’m huge and almost due, they still work for me. I hate shirts that only go to the top of my pants – a long shirt kind of girl. Also, Gap’s maternity clothes don’t look like pregnant lady clothes so you’ll be able to find things you’d wear even if you weren’t pregnant. I found that Target and Old Navy’s pants were bunchy and strange on my tall thin frame (I think we’re about the same size person)…so all this info might be helpful. Good luck – and embrace the maternity clothes! They’re meant to fit and you’ll feel so much better once you don’t have to squish into your regular clothes.
I used to sleep on my stomach, so the transition was a little tough for me. You will definitely get used to the change because at a certain point it won’t feel comfortable to be on your back at all…something about your child pressing against your lungs (your bro probably explained it better :) among other things.
My PLAN post-baby is to use my beloved treadmill and run whenever the heck I can, even if it’s in short, 30 minute or less chunks. I hope to utilize baby nap time for all my do-to’s as well as exercise. I have a feeling you’ll be the same way – even if you can’t get one long run in, it will be incredibly nice to have your bf treadmill there for when you have a few free minutes.
PS I have those Gap pants
Kelli @ Howdy from NYC
You turned down Panda Express?! Tragic.
Sorry to ramble again but I wish someone would have told me this…your belly will get itchy so the pants w/ the bigger piece of fabric might not be the most comfortable thing…might not want to spend a lot of money on pants like that. Below the belly waste bands (like the white pants you bought) are really the most comfortable, in my opinion.
Try GAP’s fold over yoga pants. I bought a few pairs 1-2 sizes bigger than I would wear pre-pregnancy and have been living in them! I have also purchased a few tops from Target. I’ve been trying not to buy maternity clothes since I know I will never wear them again.
I have my ultrasound on the 25th too and we’re finding out the sex that day too! I am beyond excited.
My mom manages a Motherhood Maternity store (for one more week because she just quit) so I got a TON of maternity clothes very early on and have been wearing them non-stop for months already. I think I started my second month of pregnancy. I love how comfortable they are and could never go back into squeezing into my regular pants. My mom also recommends wearing my maternity clothes for a while after I give birth because she says your body is still really pliable and that if you try to squeeze into your pre-pregnancy pants too early then you mold your body into your tight jeans. She said if you continue wearing your maternity pants then you’ll end up with a smoother abdomen rather than a muffin-top. I’m not sure how true it is but it sounds good so I’ll probably get a few more months out of these clothes after the baby comes too. And maybe on Thanksgiving and Christmas and any other holiday where I eat so much my pants are tight!
I still have not felt my baby move and I am getting so nervous that something is wrong. I am 19 weeks tomorrow and feel like I should be feeling him/her already but still nothing. I am trying to not be such a worry-wart but it is still scary. I hope I feel him/her soon!!! I pretty much worry about EVERYTHING!
I got my maternity jeans from Old Navy. Otherwise most of my stuff fit if i left it unbuttoned and used one of those belly band things.
During my mat leave I ran whenever she fell asleep and dad was home if she woke up. When I went back to work, I had to run on the treadmill first thing in the morning. The sound lulled her to sleep and she would immediately wake up when I stopped.
Now that she is older, I try to run first thing in the morning because she usually doesnt wake up until 7 or so. If im too tired, I wait til she falls asleep at night at 8 or 9pm.
I hated most maternity clothes so I just found most of my shirts at my regular stores (babydoll style). But I did find some amazing things at Gap! The things that I found anywhere else ended up in the trash or the “I-resent-the-fact-that-you-are-the-only-thing-that-fits” pile.
As far as workouts go, I would just wait until my husband got home for the first six months. After that, she could come to gym with me!
And Sleep? BODY PILLOW!!
Most of my mat clothes came from gap, just wait till it goes on sale, it will always go on sale. Motherhood has some cute stuff, if you look and old navy has cute stuff for a good price.
I had a really rough recovery, where things that shouldn’t have gone wrong went terribly wrong so it took me awhile to get back into working out. But when I could the jogger became my best friend. I would feed him play and then plop him into the jogger and we would be off. I trained for the st George marathon pushing him. Hills and all. And it made it so easy to run without him when the time came.
Have fun in ca, and so excited for all your firsts. It’s an amazing adventure your on and it will only get better!
Milanmaternity.com has the cutest shirts!! I’m really petite and they fit me great, unlike old navy or motherhood’s maternity clothes. If you “like” them on Facebook they have lots of great coupon codes. :) I bought a lot basic maternity tees from Shade that were super comfy.
1. I could never fit maternity clothes very well. I used some of my sister’s maternity shorts during the summer, but the tops always fit weird.
2. It was really hard sleeping, I counted down the days that I could go back to sleeping on my stomach or to be able to go from either side without feeling like a balooga whale emerging from the sea…
3. Honestly, I think that was the hardest part after the baby was born, realizing that everything you do now is dependent on the babies schedule. But once I figured that out, I was much happier. I workout during his morning nap and then do my long runs saturday when my husband can watch him and I can take my time.
I actually loved my maternity jeans. They were hand-me-down 7 jeans from my sister and so comfortable! I run at 5am during the week before my daughter and husband wakeup. It is nice to get my run done early.
OK so I am NOT an emotional person but this post made me teary eyed for some reason! I’m just so happy for you guys-you will be amazing parents. To hear about how excited you are to have a child and that you are taking the whole experience in and the magnitude of it all is just really touching.
Enjoy every second of it!
so we just started feeling our baby kick last week and i am the same way…if im not feeling him or her…i freak out!! i cried last night (my husbands out of town ) to him on the phone bc i took a zumba class and after the baby wasnt kicking…like a zumba class is gonna do anything..? but still i hate that…my mind just goes into scary territory its the worst.
ive been sleeping on my sides but its hard..i miss sleeping on my back!
You should really buy a pair of Seven For All Mankind maternity jeans. Best thing ever.
1. I buy a lot of my maternity clothes at OldNavy, Target or Motherhood. My friends and I are passing them around and sharing them as we go through our pregnancies.
2. I’m almost 8 months pregnant and I STILL wake up to find that I have been sleeping on my back. I don’t worry about it though, I wake up because its uncomfortable.
3. With my first child, I hit the treadmill and later put her in my BOB running stroller (best. investment. EVER.) I have a feeling that I’ll be running early morning or late at night now that I’ll have two girls at home!
Nicole @ Haute Running Mama
I looooooved maternity clothes! I had so many cute outfits from the Gap I didn’t want to give them up post pregnancy. I did get away with a lot of Gap Body stuff that was not maternity that I could still wear afterwards. Happy happy joy joy! LOL!
It was hard for me to get used to laying on my left side but after being preggo for 4 years (not kidding- with little here and there breaks) I got used to it. Now it’s natural for me to fall asleep on my side.
I get my runs/workouts in before the sun rises most of the time. Or during lunch! Since you have a TM you will be able to get runs in during nap time- but if I were you I would sleep during those times until baby is on a regular schedule. You will looooove those naps :)
P/S Will you be in SD this weekend?!? Please tell me you will be looking at USD?!?!?
Deirdre @ Oh Well Whatever
I found that most stores had pretty poor selections so I ended up buying a lot online – they seemed to have more selections. Mostly all cheap stuff from Old Navy, Walmart, Destination Maternity and Target. You don’t wear it for too long so the quality doesn’t need to be great. I was also lucky enough to have tons of stuff loaned to me from a neighbor.
I have always slept on my side so that was easy for me.
I am still struggling with fitting in the workouts, she is 15 months. The whole working full-time thing is a challenge for sure. But the jogging stroller is the best, get a Bob with the infant seat attachment and you will be good to go. He/she can’t be just in the stroller until about 6 months but you can use it with the infant car seat attachment earlier.
1. Kohl’s and Motherhood.
2. I’m 19 weeks and go to sleep on my side but always wake up on my back.
3. I work out in the mornings before anyone wakes up, and it can be exhausting.
Jess @ Blonde Ponytail
You and Billy are going to be OUTSTANDING parents. Your interactions with your nieces and nephew just shows it.
Isn’t there a spandex thingy that allows you to wear your pants unbuttoned?? What is that called. Have fun in Cali! Gives hugs to all the CA runners there!
Heather @ Anchors Aweigh Training
Splurge on the ultrasound and get the 3d ones— it is SO worth it! And a lot of insurance companies pay for them now, which is great!
I got my maternity clothes from GAP and Old Navy. I worked there, so I got a discount, so that’s how I chose where to buy ’em. But I was always super happy with them!
My husband made so much fun of me for how I ended up having to sleep when I hit my third trimester… I had to sleep on the couch, facing the back cushions, with my top leg slung up and over the back of the couch. Seriously, the best way to get comfy, and the only way I could get any decent sleep!
I would have my mom babysit for me so I could go workout and then take a shower afterwards. (Taking an uninterrupted and/or long shower is soon to be a thing of the past for ya, sorry.) My mom loved (and still loves) watching my son for me, and we would always go out for lunch or out for a walk afterwards, so it made for some awesome family time :)
I love, love, love maternity pants! I don’t know why I waited so long to start wearing them.
I am still trying to figure out when to run since having a baby. I kind of a weekend warrior now that I am a mom.
I loved Target and Motherhood maternity because they were reasonably priced. I didnt want to spend crazy amounts of money on stuff I wouldn’t wear for long. Target has the most amazing nursing tanks that I still wear (my daughter is 19 months), so comfy and you can wear them underneath anything. As far as workouts go, I took my daughter along in our jogging stroller. We have a BOB. She has always loved it and I feel like I get an even better work out pushing her and find I like to be surprised at how fast I am without it! If I’m not running, I’ll do a workout on hulu or netflix during her naptime. Congrats on all of the firsts! It is such a beautiful journey, you are going to love it!
The drawing on the iPad … Hahaha!!
What program are you iPad drawing on? I need it
I bought almost everything from Gap because I could order “long” online
I didn’t see this listed but I love my BOB! I run with her during the day and go to yoga once the hubby gets home. I have been known to exercise during nap time too, but I prefer to nap during Naptime
Hey Mary it is called paper 53! You have to get it, it is so fun!
Jaeme + Randy
First off, maternity pants are the best things in the world. They have saved me since I bought them 2 weeks ago. Now I have 3 pairs :). I have bought them at Target, Gap, and Old Navy. You will love them! BTW one of my pairs has the full belly stretchy thing (Target) and its much better to just have the small panel.
Sleeping has been okay so far but I do wake up a lot wanting to lay on my belly. That doesn’t work so well. I always fall asleep on my side but sometimes wake up on my back. I figure my body will tell me once that is not good anymore.
My exercise plan after the baby is to do Jillian Michaels videos during naps then do other stuff when Randy is home. Once the baby can sit up I will definitely be getting a jogging stroller. My sister highly recommends B.O.B if you want recommendations :).
I can’t wait to hear the sex of your baby! That appointment was SO fun. The ultrasound was like 30 minutes long because they look at everything and we got lots of pictures and the DVD. And it is so fun to be able to start buying stuff now since I know what color to look at!
Oh 14 days…countdown on! I know yall are super excited!
Can’t wait to find out!
Shauna @ Balancing Bites
I shopped at Old Navy, Khols and Target.
I slept on my side with a pillow in between my legs and supporting my belly. I was always uncomfortable.
I worked out when the kids slept (nap or bedtime) or when they were in their jumperoo.
I bought about half of my maternity clothes online at these two flash sale websites…www.zulily.com and http://www.gilt.com. The other half I bought at places like Kohl’s, Pea in the Pod, H&M and Target.
Was always big into sleeping on my stomache which isn’t really possible while being pregnant and even for a while after baby…especially if you are breastfeeding since your “girls” will be large and in charge. I slept on my partial back while pregs, that means kinda on my side and kinda on my back. I propped a large pillow under my back but more on one side that the other to kind of keep me tilted to one direction and not completely on my back. I also always had a pillow between my knees. It was quite the ordeal!
It was hard for me to find a time to work out right away because it was winter when our little guy arrived. By the time my husband got home it was dark and there are no streetlights in the country where we live. I wish we had a treadmill!!!
