Hopefully as you are reading this I am still running.

For the next three hours you can find me connected to the treadmill jamming out to “Coming Home” by Diddy, watching Friends, eating shot blocks, drinking Gatorade, coming up with plans to take over the world and people watching.

I will let you know how it goes later on today but first I will show you how I carb-loaded to the max last night and spent my night hanging out with my five year old best friend.

IMG_3717.jpg

We made dessert together…….I think we both snuck a million test bites just to make sure it tasted alright.

This dessert is egg free and low fat…..not because I wanted it like that but my dad is allergic to eggs and my mom and sis like ‘lite’ desserts.  Crazy, I know…who knows how we are related.

IMG_3722.jpg

We did a layer of yellow cake, chocolate cake, fat-free pudding, whip cream, blackberries, chocolate chips and REPEAT.

For the cake I just mixed the cake mix with one cup unsweetened apple sauce…no eggs or oil for these ones.

IMG_3725.JPG

Dinner was a Utah classic of Roast, potatoes and carrots and a spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette.

IMG_3726.JPG

P.S. My dad painted that picture in the background….cool huh?

The rest of the night involved horse rides, singing my fair lady, downloading ring tones for my mom’s phone’s and talking about how fat I was as a baby.

—————————————————————————————-

Are you artistic?

-I used to set up a store at home when I was five to sell all of my artwork.  My dad was the only one that would ever buy any, I think my siblings were just jealous.

Gatorade or Powerade or something else? What is your favorite flavor?

-LOVE Gatorade….not so much Powerade though. My favorite flavor is the purple one!

How much did you weigh when you were born?

-9.7 lbs.  I was the biggest baby in my family by a lot.

Looks delish!!!
I'm not very artistic at all….unless cooking counts as an art form! =D

Good luck with your run!
I am not artistic at all. My sister is an artist and art book author by profession, so I like to say that she took all the art talent.

Gatorade by far – the light blue (love that I know the color and not the name!)

I weighed 4.8 lbs. Tiny baby.

My aunt makes that for thanksgiving every year – I look forward to it for the next 364 days!

Hi!!! Hope your run is going well!! I am creative but not exactly artistic! My grandmother was a painter tho. Love Gatorade!!

Hey random… we were talking about your blog at my blogger meet up the other day and my friend Becky said she had problems commenting on your blog because she doesnt have blogger.. have you noticed this with anyone else?

Oh… and I was thinking we should organize a meet-up in Boston before the race!

Reply

I am taking a huge leap but I bet you're running right now! Hope it's going well.

I am not artistic. Not at all. I don't think I can even draw a straight line. I can, however, follow directions to make unoriginal crafty things like scarves and, well, scarves.

Good luck with your run- 3 miles on the treadmill sounds, ummm, long! But with the snacks and entertainment you should pull thru.
-I don't have an artistic bone in my body..
-I like the light purple gatorade- it's part of my "P" diet!
-I was a fun sized baby at just a touch over 6 pounds. I'm now a fun sized adult…

Carbo-loading is the greatest, especially when it involves massive desserts like that parfait! And potatoes:)

Your five year old best friend is so cute, she deserves an award for that close up shot slash why am I not five anymore?!

I love photography, other than that I have never been very artistic. I luuuurve my camera, and I got some awards hollllaaa:)

Hope your run is awesome today! I am going to have to get me some shot blocks to try!
– I LOVE orange gatorade!
– I was only 4lb 15oz when I was born..2 months early! so I prob would have been a big baby if I had stayed in the whole time!

Good luck on your run!

Wow! Your dad has some serious talent! I'm totally embarrased now for posting LB's art, he's got nothing on your dad!!! =)

I wish I were artistic. I try really hard. I even tried to major in it in college. You just can't force it though…I stink at it.

And gatorade, I love the lemon lime and orange flavors. But I don't really drink it anymore. I stick to water. But I should attempt other things especially since you never know when you will need to ingest something the race has to offer. In the Vegas marathon I had to take the Cytomax. They had nothing else and terrible support. So it was Cytomax or death. I chose Cytomax.

Good luck with your treadmill run!!! Sounds like fun…..NOT. ha ha, I crack myself up.

Your BFF's zebra print fur coat is awesome!

I'm not artistic, but I love arts and crafts. My mom is a legit-painter. Her stuff is amazing! Occasionally, I get the idea to paint with her and my stuff looks like a 5 year old made it. I should stick with paper crafts and stickers =)

I don't usually drink gatorade, but if I do drink energy drinks….I go for the lemon-lime flavor

Reply

Oh my goodness…I want that dessert!

I am so not artistic. My students don't even laugh anymore when I draw a picture on the board to illustrate a math problem or something. I guess my inability has lost its cuteness and has turned into annoying for them:)

I don't know whats better to look at…the dessert or the cute face your niece is making. Family baking time is the best. Have a great run friend. :)

Such cute pictures! You are so pretty :)

3 hours on a treadmill would prob be a bit much even for a treadmill enthusiast such as myself ;)

i actually HATE gatorade. i dunno why. i just really dislike it :/
and sadly am not artistic at all. my mom is. she makes the most beautiful packages… so basically what happens is i bake cookies and she wraps them up pretty. it's a beautiful relationship ;)

Hope you have a great run this morning!! The gym was pretty empty since a lot of people have the day off! Wish I had a day off!

I think I weighed 7lbs 6oz but I can't remember exactly.

Reply

That dessert is so pretty, I love desserts with berries. Good luck on your running! People watching in the gym is hilarious.

Reply

That kiddo is just adorable.

I honestly don't think I've ever tried Powerade. I like Gatorade. The yellow one (lemon-lime?) and the blue one.

I weighed 8 lbs 7 oz when I was born.

Enjoy your long-run Monday! I just don't see how you guys do those long distances on the mill. I've only got 4 on the schedule for today, and it's raining and cold, so I'm debating on doing those 4 measley miles on the mill. I just can't decide… freeze to death or die of boredom? Hmmmm…

A) That little girl is adorable!

B) My first daughter weighed 9lbs., 11 oz. at birth, so she beats you….I'm little (5'4" and before I got pregnant with her I was 105 lbs.)so I don't quite understand how on Earth I managed to carry and birth her!

C) My one year old has the same shirt as the little girl riding on Billy's back in picture #4.

Ok we are sole sisters. And art sisters as I too had an 'art gallery' where I sold my art as a kid. Crazy!
I was 8 lbs 14 oz. Not one of my mom's largest. I think I was 5th smallest out of the six. I think the top honor goes to my middle sis who clocked in close to 10lbs.

Reply

crafty? yes, artistic? no

blue powerade in our house

I was my mom's biggest of three babies at 6 pounds 14 oz

Reply

Good luck on your run! I ran five this morning and I was hurting…probably because I ran ten last night right before bed. I'm not so good at planning.

I have no idea how much I weighed as a baby, I am not even remotely artistic, and I can't stand gatorade or powerade, the only time I drink them are on long runs and when I'm sick because I have to.

Reply

Oh my gosh that picture makes me think of the triffle episode on Friends where Rachel puts the beef in there because the pages were stuck together!!

I am a pretty decent writer and that's the only way I'm artistic. My stick figures won't get me far in drawing.

Gatorde I like RipTide Rush (purple!)

I weighed 6lbs 1oz when I was born. Just a little thing.

Reply

I'm so excited to hear about your amazinggg long run!! So jealous that you can watch tv whilst running…our gym treadmills face AWAY from the tvs for some stupid reason!!

Artistic?! Scoff! I can draw stick people…just! :P

The only thing I like about Gatorade+Powerade are the cool colours! Haha!

And I was 9.5lbs. You beat me. Darn.

Reply

I was a photo major in college, I never finished. No I don't drink Gatorade or powerade. I know, but I don't like food coloring because of what it's made of. I drink Nuun. I have no idea what I weighed, I think I was under 6 pounds. Hope you had a great run… I know you did!

Reply

I hope you are having an awesome run!

I am not artistic at all. I can't even draw a stick figure!

Given the choice I would pick G2 over powerade and regular gatorade but I have recently found orang splash sustain and I am loving it!

I was 8 lbs 6 oz at birth.

Reply

sunday dinners with the family are the best! i'm going to have to try to make that dessert!

Reply

Have an awesome run today! Gatorade all the way, I can't even touch powerade!

Reply

Hope your run went well!! The dessert looks YUMMY! :) I love Gatroade, too…we usually stick to the lime or fruit punch flavors :)

Reply

That dessert looks delish, even if it was "lite"! I hope your run went well! I usually stick to the red variety of Gatorade. Yum.

Reply

Hope you enjoyed your 3 hour run on the treadmill this morning! I am absolutely NOT artistic. And I love GATORADE too! Pretty much all flavors! However, I just started buying the Kirkland brand at Costco because it's cheaper and it's actually not bad at all.

Reply

Hope your run is going well. Your family is so cute! I like purple Gatorade the best too regular for log runs G2 for shorter ones or spin class. Powerade makes me acidy when I run (TMI?…sorry)

Reply

You put my 40 minutes of cardio to shame! I dont know how you do it!!!

I am the least artistic person ever, my stick people dont even dazzle and my walls are covered in self painted canvases… self painted as in drunk finger painted. Yeah, did I mention I went to design school? lol

I dont think I've EVER had gatorade! I DO have a bottle of the purple stuff in my fridge though left over from show day! lol

Reply

1. I am not artistic AT ALL. I can't even draw stick figures…

2. I don't like either. Water for me.

3. I was a fat ass baby. LOL.

Reply

Your Dad's picture is fantastic. I am in such awe of his talent!

I adore art, looking at art, critiquing art and producing my own feeble attempts at it. I wouldn't say I'm artistic in terms of talent, but I am in terms of enjoyment and motivation. It's my form of expression…words are never deep or soulful enough for me.

I weighed 7lbs…quite a small baby I suppose. Things changed somewhat when I discovered solid food ;)

Powerade Zero all the way for me: it HAS to be the blue one though.

Hope the run went well!

Reply

That painting is beautiful! It reminds me of the one in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I'm not artistic, really.

My favorite gatorade is red. I tried some purple the other day – blech! Don't know how you even like that!

I was 8lb 14oz or something like that.

Reply

Ahhh, so cute! A) I love your watch B) I was 12 lbs. when I was born – seriously not cute.

Good luck with your run!

Reply

that dessert looks delicious! I like the newer lime gatorade the best, I think.

I was a twin and a preemie, so I was only 4 lbs, 5 oz. when I was born. My sister somewhat sat on my umbilical cord and I didn't get as much food as she did (I still bring this up to her and she hates it!) :)

Reply

Best of luck on your run!!

That dessert looks amazing – care to make me one? :)

i'm sO jealous that you have a TV to watch. gosh, like 50% of the reason i love going home is because my parents have a huge screen TV in front of their treadmill with digital cable. i die.

happy monday holiday! my gym was DEAD this morning.

Reply

She is SO adorable! And so are you, but I tell you that all the time. :) The dessert looks so ridiculously delicious and fun. Hmmmm, I'm artistic in some ways like photography, but not with painting or drawing. I love Gatorade but don't drink it too often. I weighed 8.6 lbs when I was born. Hope your run was AWESOME!!

Reply

I loev the orange gatorade. I can't draw or anythinglike that, but I am a graphic designer.

Reply

I like "classic" gatorade flavors, green, orange, red. I do NOT like their new protein recovery drinks. blech. Never tried Power-ade. I love propel, too.

And, a question for you … I decided to run a 1/2 mara next month. Why not? right? I generally don't race, but this local 1/2 was calling my name. So here's the question … do I need to experiment with gu/shot bloks type product for a 1/2? I've never had these before. How do you carry them along the run? When do you take them? Thx. Off to froach an egg.

Reply

not one once of artist in me, I suck at drawing, paiting, all of it. but i am really good at science! boring I know!

Gatorade: fruit punch, but now gives me heartburn so we got a divorce last year, I am not over it yet.

I was 7 lbs 2 onces and 23 inches!
My first son was 8 lbs 8 onces 3 weeks early…can you say aouch!!!!
3 hrs on the treadmill…you are nuts..hmm I mean crazy..no no, I mean dedicated! yes that's the word!

Gosh I want to come eat with your fam! Your food always looks crazy good. And your niece's smile….TOO precious!
I am personally not artistic but have a crazy love for art. Just not my own drawings! :)

Hopefully you rocked those 3 hours!

You were lookin great! I wish I could have stayed at the gym longer, but apparently my racist of a boss doesn't think MLK day is important enough to get off… Dang it.

Reply

HOW do you run on a treadmill that stinkin long?!!! I dont like gatorade or powerade…I'm a fan of NUUN

That dessert looks yummy…as always!

I was 8 pounds 13 ounces. :) Pretty big.

My kiddos were 7 lb, 7 oz; 5 lb 6 oz; and 5 lb 4 oz.

Gatorade or Powerade, my favorite is fruit punch.

I'm not sure how much I weighed but i'm going to guess around 7 lbs.

That dessert looks amazing!

I love Orange Gatorade and mandarin orange propel don't really like powerade. I like the Orange shot blocks the best too.

I was 5lbs 5oz when I was born, but I'm a twin so that's pretty big when you have two babies at the same time.

I hope the run was AWESOME this morning!! :)

I was looking at your breakfast from yesterday whilst drooling on my laptop. Eggs are my favorite food, followed closely by chipits (seriously, for the latter, I'm considering starting a chipits anonymous group. Last week I ate the whole bag of them before I could make them into anything delicious like your pancakes.) And because I love eggs so much and I didn't comment yesterday, I love any and all eggs. But my favorite is in omelet form – with veggies, cheese and salsa!

You and your niece are adorable and make delicious desserts!

I weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces as a child. Coincidence that 7-11 slurpees were my favorite food growing up? I think not.

I used to be addicted to powerade until I discovered accelerade. Now I drink it like it's going out of style. Do you think it's bad that I drink it during my workout AND as a treat? It comes in powder form and I am perhaps abusing it by eating it like it's fun dip.

I like to pretend I'm artistic. Two years ago I made paintings for everyone in my family for Christmas, and I was the fauxtographer at my BFF's brother's wedding.

Reply

You're done by now! Hope is was awesome! Sounds like you had all the "supplies" necessary to make it through ;-)

I am very creative but sometimes get too hung up on perfection to create :( I'm working on that!

I prefer red Gatorade. And I was 7 lbs 6 oz. You WERE a big 'un! My biggest of the 4 was 7 lbs 10 oz.

Reply

I am so so so not artistic. My mom is a wicked good artist, and most of my brothers are blessed with some type of artistic ability. I have less than zero. I do art a disservice my attempting to create any myself.

Reply

I am very much not artistic. In high school, I was the student government/athlete, my sister was the brain/artist

Reply

I am not artistic. My dad, however, is — and I have a couple of his paintings in my house.

I prefer the fruit punch flavor G2. I usually water it down, too.

That's one adorable kid grinning over that dessert!

I weighed 6lbs,4oz at birth. My twin sis was 5lbs. B*tch has been skinnier than me our whole life. ;)

Oh – and on the next post — 26.2 on the TM in 3:26? Amazing. Nice job.

Reply

Purple powerade, red or yellow gatorade! :)

Reply

Janae, you usually make the craziest, weirdest, awesomest, freakiest faces, but when I see your normal face, you are GORGEOUS!!!! If I buy all the same make up as you, will I get to look like you?

Reply

Your BFF is sooo adorable! :) That cake looks so good. Wow – your Dad is incredibly talented!! I am not artistic AT ALL but always wished I was. My Dad and sister are both very artistic/creative. Me, not so much.

I really don't like Gatorade…I drink it b/c I need to but that's it.

I really don't know how much I weighed – I think 7 something. But my son was 2 pounds/15 ounces! One teeny, precious miracle!

Reply

I was 11 pounds 3 ounces…23.5 inches…enough said.

Wow there is so much talent in this post, cooking, running, and your dad’s painting is AMAZING!!! it looks just like the one from the newest Narnia movie ( I dont kno if you’ve seen it or not)
