Silentish Saturday!

Burritos and French toast for breakfast.

Goosenecks State Park is unreal.

We couldn’t believe it.

Mexican Hat, Utah.

Monument Valley!!!

Sadly, it was so windy (hard to avoid getting sand in our eyes!!!) that we couldn’t do all of our plans there but it was still stunning to see.  I didn’t get my Forest Gump photo but we will be back…

Sand Island Petroglyphs dating back 800-2500 years ago.

And of course we ended things here.

Happy weekend running!

Tell me three things you have going on today!

So beautiful! We want to do more exploring in Utah. The Narrows is top on the list, along with Zion and Bryce Canyon.
After a quick run and workout, we’re heading to lunch for my husband’s aunt’s birthday. She is absolutely the best!! She doesn’t have kids of her own, but absolutely dotes on and loves her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and now 2 great great nieces!
Keep enjoying your trip and warmer weather! By the way, are you staying with your family? Or at a hotel/resort? That pool is awesome!
Happy weekend!

Wow, what gorgeous scenery. I lived in Utah for 5 years when I went to college but never made it out to Zion or Bryce Canyon or St George and I am kicking myself.
Today I’m running 7 miles along the waterfront and in the forest. I love living in Washington. Saturdays are clean the house day so I’ve got some cleaning to do as well. And going to walk our 3 dogs somewhere with my partner.

my body said it’s a good day to get sick today…so laundry (I get sick, despite what my wife says, you have to wash everything, clothes, towels, bedding, the kids! and throw out every toothbrush!)….made my special tomato soup that cures everything, and binge wash crappy tv shows….

What a fun time!! I’m so sorry you couldn’t get the Forest Gump picture! Too funny, my husband, kids and I stayed at the same place when we went to Monument Valley (area) last year! My three things today – our son is home from college for the weekend so I have been smiling all day while we hang out and see family (I missed him so much). I got out for a run this morning. I warmed up before my run (that hardly ever happens so
I’m making it the third thing lol). Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, Janae, and thank you SO much for all you do!!!

are there other resorts in Utah that overlook the mountains like this? We’re planning on road tripping to check out the parks (Zion/arches) but I’d love to stay somewhere like this resort!
