Friday Favorites!

No run for me yesterday, but the esthetician I saw told me I should be good to go for one today!

We went shopping for a fireplace insert with my sister. We found one with some light aspen logs (I didn’t take a picture of it), and I’m really excited for it to be put in soon.

My in-laws came down to visit and brought Andrew his #1 meal.

They came over to put Halloween away and take care of our yard. We are so lucky.

Andrew had a hard time saying goodbye to this guy for ten months.

Our good friends offered us their tickets to the Taylor Swift movie because they ended up seeing it earlier.

The girls were over the moon excited.

Beck and Andrew slept at home while we sang along to every song for a few hours.

Let’s talk about some favorite things from this week!

*A baseball cap that I fell in love with because of its uniqueness, and of course I love Boston. Also, this Patagonia vest is a must for me each fall/winter. I wear it so often, and it keeps me incredibly warm. This Amazon vest is another huge favorite for me… oversized for the win!

*I brought out my #1 favorite boots that I’ve ever had.

*In case you need a new coat, this was the one I wore the most last winter and always got a compliment on it… the almond butter color is too good.

*I just finished listening to Britney Spear’s new book. Wow. What she went through is so horrible. Everything makes so much more sense now.

A friend recommended this book to me, so I’m listening to this one next!

*This scene made me happy. It took me back to the years when I dreamed of finding a person like Andrew to be Brooke’s stepdad.

Have any plans for this weekend?

Who is listening to a book right now?  What is it?  Anyone else read/listen to Britney Spear’s book?

Do you decorate for Thanksgiving or go straight to Christmas (if you celebrate)?

Who saw Taylor Swift or concert or the movie?

I read Britney Spears’ book too, so sad :( she has been through a lot. I heard that Michelle Williams did an amazing job narrating the audio version!

I haven’t seen the Eras tour movie yet! Hope you all loved it!! I went to the concert, so this would be cool to see everything better

Michelle Williams really did amazing… She needs to narrate more audio books. Ummm I wish we could have gone to the concert, so happy you were able to go. Hope your morning is off to a great start!

I went to Eras film the night that it was released which means I am probably due to see it again.
I read Britney in a day. I applaud her in many ways but I will say the writing was one step above her instagram captions. And I wish there was a bit more depth but it’s her story to share or not share.
Weekend plans include watching NYC marathon and hosting our family Sunday night for dinner. I have so much time on my hands now that my marathon is over!
Have a great weekend!

The night it was released… you definitely need to go again. Yeahhhhhhh I think that some of these things have definitely changed her brain a bit. I just cannot believe her father. I can’t wait to watch too! Haha realizing how much energy I have when I’m not marathon training is always pretty shocking. Thanks Molly, you too!

I have heard that Brittany’s book is really good.
We went to the Era’s concert! My husband’s cousin is one of her dancers! It was amazing! I would love to now go watch the movie. Taylor’s tour starts back up again in South America.
How nice of your in-laws to come help. And so glad Andrew is doing better.
No big plans for the weekend. But I will be watching the NY marathon on Sunday morning.
Have a great Friday!

I kept wondering which of the dancers was your husband’s cousin! It really was so kind of them, our yard was out of control. Cannot wait to watch too… wish we could all get together to watch. Happy weekend, Wendy!

The day after Halloween I dragged out a Christmas snow globe haha. Jason refuses to do the lights until this weekend lol. It is straight to Christmas lol canadian Thanksgiving is past and we don’t decorate for thanksgiving.

This weekend we are supposed to get 35mm-40mm of rain in a day ..so indoor weekend but will get myself out for the rain during the less rainy part ?? Lol.

So glad you were able to have a movie date with your girls!!

Happy Friday Janae!

Hahaha that is so true! I fully support the snow globe coming out and the lights going up. That is a lot of rain! Good luck out there. Thanks Kristine, hope your day is off to a great start!

I read Britney Spears’ book last weekend, mostly in a day. I had no idea all that she had been through. I’m now reading John Stamos’ memoir that came out the same day as Britney’s since I’m a huge Full House fan.

I didn’t either. Her. Family. Okay, I saw that came out. You’ll have to let me know if I should read it when you finish. Have the best day, Alicia!

Lol, when I read that first sentence, I read the word “electrician” not “esthetician,” ha!

It’s taper time for Big Bear! I’m going to run a 5k and add a long warm up and cool down to make it my long run :)

I am currently re-listening to David Goggin’s “Can’t Hurt Me.” I have the Britney Spears book on hold at the library though.

I have a few fall decorations up and I’ll probably put up Christmas stuff the week of Thanksgiving since I have the week off of work.

My daughter, husband, and saw the Eras tour. When my daughter was 10, we saw the Red tour with her :)

Bahaha let’s be honest, I probably misspelled it so you are right on track. Marissa, I am SO excited for you to run Big Bear! You must give me a race report afterward. I’m guessing I need to read that David Goggins book?! I LOVE that you have bee to two of Taylor’s concerts with your daughter! That is so great. I hope you have a beautiful day!

So sorry about Andrew’s accident. Hope the recovery goes quickly. I hated to hear that he was in pain.

I realize that your mom will delete this- but I am confused about how you have time for a cosmetic procedure and a run but are unable to take down decorations or do yard work. It does not seem fair for grandparents to come and do those jobs.

I advocate for getting the work done on your own. In the end, you will feel much better about yourself.

Hey Ann! It’s always a good idea to assume the best of people before going to the worst. My in-laws (Andrew’s brother too) insisted on this. They were on vacation when the accident happened and felt helpless. They asked and told us that they were going to come and do it, no questions asked. My in-laws love doing yard work (you should see their yard)! So this is what they wanted to do to show Andrew how much they love him:). I advocate that you don’t go around judging people when you don’t know the whole story. When I assume the best of people, I am a lot happier and I think you could try that too!
