Because when I’m in Hungary, I’m going to post on Sunday too…

Just a quick hello but I wanted to put down a few pictures and things from the day because they are so memorable. I love going back through trip posts and so I thought I would share a few things from yesterday here…

We met up with the group (aka the nicest people ever) for the day.

We toured the Castle District and it was fabulous. We have experienced the most perfect weather while we have been here.

Did you know the president here is a female? I loved learning this!

I just need the kids to fly here and be with us and stay for a lot longer.

And then we went to the expo! My first international expo.

I might have to try these tomorrow:

We picked up our numbers!

A few observations from the end of the 5k yesterday…

Every race needs this at the finish line! Washing the gel and drinks off of our faces and hands after a race asap = brilliant.

A lot of people were eating bowls of salad that they were passing out after the race. I’ve never seen that!

They didn’t give us bags for our shirt, pins and bib which was a first for me at an expo.

Their bag drop area had everything hanging up and organized perfectly.

My face hurt from smiling so much.

We definitely carbed up and I even tried the squid ink pasta…

I cannot believe how much fun I’m having doing this all in another country.

I hope your Sunday is a beautiful one!

Squid ink pasta is called emo pasta. We made it for Halloween a few years ago. It amused my kids. We’ve tried several other emo pastas made from different things. Some have a weird texture and some turn the water purple.
Enjoy your race! It looks like a great trip!
