Disneyland Day #1 4 Trillion Pictures.

Not a lot of words because I am writing this at 9 pm and need to hit the hay to prepare for 12 more hours of Disney fun…

We spotted Minnie when we first entered the park!

I can’t even count how many times she hugged me like this yesterday.

She pretty much waved at every doll/animal/person at Disneyland.

Disney looks fantastic in October would love to go, I have only ever been to the one in Paris. Have a brilliant time there. Congrats on your fab time in the marathon at the weekend, I did a 10 mile race on a Sunday pretty sore today but getting up early in the morning for a few miles.

What cute pictures! I don’t have any children (except the four-legged kind), so I can only imagine how fun this was!

My quick update is that I am ALMOST walking normally again after my first marathon on Sunday. I am seriously in awe that you are able to walk around Disney ALL DAY! Yesterday I had to give myself a pep talk just to get up and walk to the bathroom! :)

Reply

Hey, congrats on your first marathon! (I’ve done zero marathons – so you have my total respect.)

Reply

How did it go?! I’ve benn following Janae’s posts and your comments cheering you ladies on. I’m running my first marathon in January :-)

Reply

Way to go on your first marathon! I had to laugh at your bathroom comment, lol!!

This looks like so much fun!

I love the atmosphere at Disney. Everyone is always happy to be there. Favorite food at Disney – probably the Mickey hot pretzels. I know they don’t actually taste any different than regular hot pretzels but they are just so fun!

Reply

I cannot believe how much you are able to walk around after your marathon! Gosh I just remember being so sore. It looks like you guys are having an awesome time though! I always enjoy going to theme parks during the Holiday season because they are so festive.

Favorite food at Disney: funnel cake! Eat as many as you can :)

We used to go to Disney every year for New Years eve. My son loved it but we stopped going a few years ago. Now we only go during the week because it’s less crowded. Fortunately we have a cabin 20 minutes away from Disney so it’s a frequent trip, usually 10-15 times a year.

Reply

I went to Disneyland when I was little with my family and loved every single second of it. I’m sure Brooke had a great time too.

Reply

Precious! Love her skepticism about pooh. Lol.
October is the best month for everything. But I am bias because it’s my birthday month. Have fun.

I’ll remember the force the eyes shut trick next time I can’t sleep. :)

Reply

It looks like you’re having a wonderful time! What beautiful memories you’re making! :)

Reply

My favorite thing about Disneyland is the trick or treating parties that they do in October. I am obsessed! Tons of candy, no lines at the rides, and everyone can dress up. Even adults can trick or treat! Best thing ever.

What a fun trip!
Favorite food: the Dole Whip!!

Love it!!!!

Cutest little girl!

Reply

Enjoy those extra hugs!

Reply

I absolutely love Disneyland. You need to take her to Disney World when she’s older! You can spend an entire week there. I love the expression on her face!

Reply

Sooooo much fun!!!

How much time do you think you will take off after the marathon?? I’m debating on that!!:) thanks in advance for your tips!!

Reply

Love the pics, she looks soooo happy! I haven’t been in 15 years but I would love to go back :)

Reply

Omg, I love those pics. She looks like she’s loving her life!! Are you guys staying in Magic Kingdom the whole time, or are you planning to do Animal Kingdom, etc too?

I haven’t been to Disney since I was like, 14 years old or something but I would love to go back! I’ll probably wait until I have kids though, it must be fun to experience it thru their eyes :)

Reply

Yay I love Disney! I have never been to Disneyland, but I go to Walt Disney World all the time since I live in Orlando and have an annual pass. I was just at the Magic Kingdom on Saturday to enjoy the Halloween decorations, but I cannot wait for the Christmas decorations to go up next month.

Reply

We are going to FL this month and I am trying to decide if I want to do a day at Disney with the kids…I am just afraid it will be SO crowded!!!!

Reply

I miss Disney! The last time I went was around Thanksgiving, it was already decorated for Christmas and it was so much fun! I love pretty much everything about Disney, other than when it’s insanely crowded.

I am 5 days out from my next half marathon – sub 2 hours here I come! First I have to clean my house because my mom is coming to visit! I haven’t seen her in over a year (way too long!) so I’m really excited. :)

Reply

I’m training for my 6th half next month and I’m aiming for a sub 2 hour also. I did my first 10-miler at under a 10.5 min mile but I’m getting nervous ;/ I hope your training is going well! :-)

Reply

It’s going to be my 6th half too! :) I’m getting super nervous, but I have been really successful with sticking to my training plan this time around, so I’m working on trusting my training. I put the work in, so there’s not much I can do at this point other than show up motivated on race day! :)

Reply

Disneyland in October is my FAVORITE!! So glad you ladies are having a great time. :)

Reply

Looks like fun, but every time I visit an attraction I have to wait like, 90% of the time and only 10% do I ever spend on the ride itself…I hate waiting so much! Did you purchase a fast pass?

Reply

You are the definition of Superwoman! How you ran a marathon on Saturday then ran around Disneyland a few days after is beyond me! Have fun + Brooke looks like she’s having a blast and a half.

Reply

I love disney land so much! And disney land in autumn sounds like it would be amazing! I’ve only ever gone during summer when it’s crazy hot. I’m sure Brooke is loving every minute!

Reply

They have amazing parades if you can catch one!

Reply

I’m so jealous! I want to take my boys so badly but we are waiting until they are a bit older. Right now, I’m going through the lovely ‘every twinge of uncomfortableness is an injury’ during my half marathon taper. It’s great.

Reply

People laugh when I tell them I went to Disneyland for my honeymoon (its a long way from Sydney!)! I’m loving seeing these gorgeous photos. What a special time for you all. So glad you are all having a good time. I’d love to take my tribe to Disneyland. Maybe if I start saving now…..

Reply

We went to Disneyworld for our honeymoon. It was awesome! :)

Reply

Candy corn cotton candy?! HOLY MOLY I need to find me some! Looks like y’all are having a blast! I’m just going through a crazy busy week at work and living vicariously through your fun times at Disney! :)

Reply

Loooove this!!! So cute!

Reply

I’ve always wanted to go to Disneyland during the holidays, but have only gone in the summer. Looks so fun! I love the face she’s making at Tigger!

Reply

We went to Disney for my daughter’s 6th birthday. It was this perfect magical moment when she was old enough/tall enough for all the rides but also little enough to really believe.

Reply

My dad actually works for Disneyland; he drives the buses that pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the park. As soon as I read this post, I immediately showed him this post and asked if he had seen you lol

My favorite ride at Disney is Space Mountain and my favorite food is the popcorn; it smells amazing!

Reply

Oh I love Disneyland and your trip looks magical so far! I can’t wait for the day when I can take Kate! Until then I will live it through your pictures :). Enjoy the rest of your time there!

Reply

That picture of the pickle and diet coke we TOO amazing (almost as amazing as the sweetness of Brooke showering you in hugs ;)) While the rest of North Carolina get’s excited about the donut burgers at the State Fair… I get excited for the giant pickles haha!
Loving all of the pictures and videos!

Reply

Amazing pictures!!! You all look like you’re having a blast :) Love the picture of Brooke hugging you to death! I’m so excited to take my son to Disney for the first time.

I don’t remember anything of Disneyland when I was little! That rice krispie chocolate-dipped treat that Brooke is eating looks like it would be my favorite treat there :)

Reply

Brooke looks so happy!!!

Reply

Looks like you are Brooke are having a ball! I’ve never been to Disney (shocking, I know) but it’s on my travel bucket list for one day. soon. maybe ;)

Reply

Favorite food at Disney….Tiggertails!!! You find them at the back of the park near the Winnie the Pooh ride. MMMMMM…… We get them every time we go to Disneyland.

Reply

Oh wow!! What a fun time!!! I love all of the pictures! I would fill you in on my day but my Cafe Rio salad and trip to Walmart just can’t compare ;)

Reply

I have never been to Disneyland! How sad is that. [Disneyworld, either.] ;[

Reply

I didnt like that things closed down early the last time we went in October. The trick or treat thing was something like $50 extra and we have a big family so needed to pass on it (totally didn’t know there was going to be a Halloween thing!). I love how it’s sooooo CLEAN. And I love how excited it makes me and my kids feel :)

Storybook Canal ride…go for it, Janae! Face your fears!

Reply

Aww I love these pictures! Brooke is adorable and you look like you’re having a great time, too :)

Reply

FUN FUN FUN!!! Love all the pics!!! <3 <3 <3 Can't wait till the boys are old enough for us to bring them!!!!!!!!!

Reply

I only went to Disneyland once 20 years ago (scary to write this down) and would love to go again!

Reply

I have never been but it looks like you are having an amazing time. Very green eyed.

Reply

So cute! I hope you guys are having the best time! She must totally love being there. My fave food in Disney will always be the giant chocolate chip cookies from the Main Street Bakery and a chocolate covered apple. So delicious.

Reply

looks like so much fun, I can’t wait to see more!

Reply

That sprinkled multi-coloured sweet Brooke is eating in her stroller looks amazing :)

I am impressed by your mobility right after a marathon! Especially wearing jeans – I find them really restrictive on my calves after a run, but it may be due to them being skinny jeans that narrow from the knees down. Anyway how did you manage to recover so quickly…?

Also you are looking remarkably like your older sister in these photos!

Reply

So sweet! We haven’t taken our kids to Disney yet and this is giving me an itch!

Reply

So much fun!! I used to always go to Disney for spring break but I’ve never been during October! I’ve heard that it’s wayyy less busy too. So cute how Brooke fell asleep… I fell asleep on my mom after the fireworks at Magic Kingdom on the boat ride home! (not sure if Disneyland has the boat ride, that was at Disney World)

Reply

I have only been to Disney in FLA, but I didn’t realize they were practically identical! Aaaaand, now I want to go back- my little is still TOO little I think. Under two is too young to really appreciate it and get excited for every little thing! I LOVE the nap picture.

Reply

If I could get my husband to wear a Monsters Inc hoodie like the guy in your last picture my life would be complete. Outstanding.

Reply

I just returned from Disney World and running the Tower of Terror 10 Miler. It was such a blast and visiting in Oct/Nov is a must. I went to the Halloween Party and had a blast getting candy. As an adult I didn’t plan on doing that but it was fun trying to find all the pumpkins to get candy. Disney did not skimp on the candy either!
I’m heading back to Disney World in November for Wine & Dine. Love the Food & Wine Festival. So much food to enjoy!
Disney is a magical place :-)
Enjoy!

Reply

We went to Disneyland just 2 weeks ago! It was awesome!! It was still hot, so maybe october is better?! The pineapple whip was my favorite and so worth it! Favorite ride was California screamin for sure!! And world of color!! Ahhh that place is magical!!

Reply

Disney is the best and I will never tire of going there. I grew up near Anaheim in CA and loved it there. Now we go to Disney World. We took my son when he was 6 back in 2012 and now we are going back this coming March (2015) when he is 9!!!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!! Love all your pictures so much!

Reply

Love all your pictures! Disneyland is the best. We are going Friday for my birthday!! Enjoy the rest of your time in CA!

Reply

Love love love this! I’m a Disney geek, so I just loved this!

Reply

I LOVE Disney! I mean, I am making a career out of it :P I haven’t been to Disneyland yet, but would love to!

Food and Wine at Epcot has the BEST selection of foods at any park!

Reply

Looks like you’re having a fabulous time! Love all the smiles and looks of wonder (in some cases, “I *wonder* if I really should be this close to this very large Tigger).

Took the kids to Disneyland in June (they’re all teenager-ish), so we rode on all the “big” rides. The line we stood in line the longest for was Peter Pan (non-fastpass). But still one of my favorites and totally worth the wait!

Reply

You and Brooke are just so darn cute! I’m so glad you guys were able to experience Disney together- getting to see it through a child’s eyes is almost more awesome than going yourself. BTW your purse is really cute- where’s it from?

Reply

First, Brooke is looking like Curly in these pics!

Second, I love the Peter Pan ride at Disney. It’s one of my favorites. Actually, I love everything at Disney but that ride is really great. :)
