The perfect stocking stuffers for RUNNERS giveaway!

The plus and minus of not getting up when my alarm clock goes off in the morning:

Minus—>  I absolutely love getting my workout done first thing in the morning and finished before I even really realize what I am doing.  With each minute of the day that goes by I get lazier and lazier and less likely to work out.

Plus—–>  I got to run side by side on treadmills at the gym with my sister and talk the entire 8 miles.  I wish you guys got to know her in real life because you would then understand why I go on and on and on about how awesome she is.

The reason it looks like I haven’t seen the light of day for months is because I don’t think I have actually been outside in the daylight longer than running from my car to the gym in months.

Stretching and talking to my brother on the phone at the same time… multi-tasking at its finest.  She really loves it when I take pictures of her without her even knowing.

IMG 5186

I love adding spinach to my soup as it is cooking to get some move veggies in.  I also really love dipping my Wheat Thins into my soup to get some more carbs and deliciousness in.

*I* want my running buddy to run on the treadmill with me… But she insists on outdoor running. Says the cold makes us stronger, of something… I don’t believe her.

Reply

I would love cold weather gear! This is my first winter in Boston, and I definitely do not have the gear for it. We had our first real winter nastiness today, too.

Reply

I’ll probably pick up the Minestrone soup next time I’m at TJ’s to try it. My favorite right now is their Tomato and Roasted Pepper soup, it hits the spot during this cold spell in California!

I’ve been whining to the hubby about how cold my runs. We just moved from so cal to nor cal and I’m a big baby. So I would LOVE this awesome giveaway!!

Reply

Those mittens look awesome! Although it might be the model :)

Reply

I would LOVE to win this giveaway! With baby due Dec 31 and me wanting to get back into shape before I run another half (the Provo Half in May) I am nervous about running in the cold with out good gear (actually just running in the cold at all…). And I can’t take the winter off or I am up a creek with out a paddle…..

We add spinach to most everything. Especially for my little guy. Smoothies: spinach, soup: spinach, tuna sandwich: spinach. I even mixed/blended spinach in peanut butter once (for the little guy) and he gobbled it up.

Reply

Pick Me!! I just moved from Miami to Washington DC and I’m soooo cold! Saw my first snow shower in 3 years yesterday. I’m really not quite sure how to dress for my runs… I’m either too hot or too cold.

Reply

I need new running mittens for running! I ran 14 miles outside (I do too live in utah) and came home with frozen fingers!;( please pick me!!!

Toss up between the mittens and the headband…mittens because I desperately need a warm pair for long runs these days and headband because I love the pattern!

Reply

I need winter running stuff because I am freezing my butt off out there!!

Reply

I love Brooks!

Reply

I loove Brooks – their headquarters are not even 20 miles away from me. I use arm warmers more as “coolers” in the summer (I wet them)… when fall comes, I go directly to long sleeve.

Reply

I think you should do a meet up in UT! I would love to meet you.

Reply

Texas Icemageddon 2013 is heinous! I’ve been a silent reader for some time now and always look forward to seeing new posts. Venturing out of silent land…

My dream is having an awesome treadmill of my own, so I am not dictated by the gym’s hours on crappy weather days. An even more extreme dream would be the treadmill like yours. :)

Reply

Taking my last final tomorrow! Winning this would be the cherry on top!

Reply

Ohhhh how I would love to win any of these items! I kind of despise my treadmill so I venture outside as much as possible…I’m running the Boston Marathon this year, so I will be spending plenty of time freezing my tushy off on runs and could use any extra gear to stay warm!

Reply

I’m a new runner and could really use some gear! Fingers crossed!

Reply

I’m commenting just because I’m dying to participate too! I live in CA so I don’t really need cold weather gear..I am sure there are a ton of others though that do!! I want to say thank you for being an inspiration to runners who have kids/are thinking about having kids. I wasn’t raised with any brothers and sisters so I never felt up to the challenge of having kids… until I saw how much Brooke brought joy and love into your world. I look forward to reading your posts about Brooke, running and life, and hope that someday I can experience the amazingness of being a parent ;)

Reply

Ooh awesome! My hands have been freezing lately so this would be perfect!

Reply

I would love heavy duty running gloves. This weekend I’m moving to a town of 400 people in Colorado and the height today was -4 degrees. There is not a gym so either I win the lotto for a treadmill or have to get better winter running clothes.

Reply

I would love to win a pair of the arm warmers. I’ve been buying these as gifts for my runner friends but haven’t bought any for myself yet!

Totally laughed about the jello post yesterday. My family is from Wisconsin and my cousin moved to California where everyone made fun of her re: jello salads and then harassed her to make jello salad because the Midwest is supposedlyfamous for it. I don’t like jello salad but i love plain jello. Ps I covet the headband!

Reply

I really hate the snow and grew up in Utah my whole life, so I always have a hard time finding the motivation to ever go outside when it’s snowing…whether it be running or even to the store (:

Reply

I am on week 7 of my half marathon training, and I definitely look at the weather forecast to try and plan out my runs. I’m bummed when it looks like I won’t be able to get outside for days. I’d much rather be training outside then in.

Reply

Kind of random…but as the mom of 2 year old & 4 month old girls…I have MAJOR hair envy of Brooke. The little buns you do for her are SO cute.

Thanks for inspiring me to get my run on.

Reply

I live in mi, it’s freezing!

Reply

This might sound ironic because I’m in Alaska, but I want snow! its snowed once and that was before Thanksgiving. I’m ready for Christmas snow! :)

Reply

I tired those gloves when the brand rep came to visit the running store I work at- amazing. Would be awesome to own them!

Reply

ooooo that headband!! :)

Reply

So funny that you cleared that up about Brooke’s name. I always thought that was such a perfect name for a runner’s daughter. Mizuno and Asics don’t work so well as names for kids. :-)

Reply

All three items look really great. I have been interested in trying arm warmers this winter.
