There is just something so great about Saturday morning running
A) I get to sleep in a little bit and leave at a time that isn’t ‘way too early o’clock’ like I normally do.
B) Saturdays are always the most fun day of the week for us so I have fun things to look forward to during my run.
C) There are always way more runners outside.
D) I LOVE finishing my week off strong and going in to my rest day (Sunday) knowing I gave my best.
8.29 miles with an average pace of 7:08—> Started off with two warm-up miles at about a 7:45 pace third mile a 7:14 and then 6:5X’s pace for the last 5 mile.
I always get excited for their get togethers because they know how important a good meal is. The grilled veggies and chicken burger were amazing. Brooke ate all of my grapes though….she has taken over one of my favorite foods.
I was forced to try and love all three.
And then we took the paddle boats out. Brooke was obsessed with steering and actually did a really good job at it.
Brooke licks her lips whenever she is happy about what we are doing.
Paddle boating is no joke. They need a paddle boat simulator machine at the gym because I was breaking a sweat on that thing. My quadriceps are feeling the burn from the boating, not from the running.
After some more mingling with cool lawyers and talking about patents we drove to San Francisco to meet up with JAMES .
First stop was Mission for The Fizzary.
They had every single soda ever invented.
Once you picked out your soda you put your bottle in that barrel which makes it cold within 2 minutes. You also get a free taffy with your soda (I had a root beer soda and a maple bacon taffy ((not very good but I had to at least try it)).
And as we were saying goodbye to our friend Brooke waved. For the first time. My heart melted.
What was the best thing about your Saturday?
Favorite running day of the week?
Ever been paddle boating?
