Taking BOB out for a test drive.

After Billy man got home from school we took the Bob out for a walk around the block to test out his skills.

The verdict:  it is actually easier to run/jog/walk with the stroller than without it, that is how awesome it is.  Brooke felt like a queen in her little stroller throne.

Dinner was a tortilla with 7 layer bean dip topped with spinach, ground beef, chips and 1 cup salsa after the picture.

Dessert was an incredible chocolate mousse pie thing that Bang’s Friend brought over the other day for me.   Every night should end with a slice of this.

While we are on the topic of sugar, let’s talk about Girl Scout Cookies.  My MIL brought us up the good stuff when she came to visit this last weekend and it was the best thing she could have brought.

While searching for images of Girl Scout Cookies I came across this picture and I am making it my mission in life to eat these no matter what it takes.

Girl scouts1

I was hoping that we could have a debate about which Girl Scout Cookie is the best. (PS Feb. 8th is National Girl Scout Cookie Day)

Girlscout Cookies

What is your favorite Girl Scout Cookie?

-Samoas are the best kind without a question.

Are you going to get GS cookies this year?  Do you normally?

Do you eat spinach or romaine more often?

Do you go on walks very often?

I actually don’t like girl scout cookies. I know, I’m crazy. They taste dry to me and I don’t like the flavors! I do like trefoils a little but they’re boring. Brooke looks so happy in the jogging stroller! It was obviously a big hit for both of you! Oh, and that dessert. What. Is. That.

Reply

Glad you love Bob! I agree I love samoas! We called them caramel delights when I was a Girl Scout. Peanut butter patties are a close second. Lemon? Gag me. (Sorry to any lemon lovers out there.) I will most definitely be hunting down some Girl Scouts to get these! I go for walks a few times a week with a friend or my husband! Love walks almost as much as gs cookies :-)

Reply

Gag to the lemonades?! Shame on you! :) I actually am not a lemon fan myself, but for some reason, I LOVE these!

Reply

I agree…not a big lemon fan but the lemonades are my FAVO!!! Funny isn’t it!

Reply

Ok, ok, I admit it. I have not actually had the lemonades. I just generally live by the rule you don’t mix fruit and dessert. Chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, and anything along those lines are true desserts!

Our Girl Guides in Canada are seriously slacking, I just have to throw that out there. My dad is always suckered into buying a ton of boxes from the little cuties down the street, but our flavours are vanilla (like vanilla oreos) or chocolate (chocolate creme/chocolate cookie). And then at Christmas we get the good stuff: thin mints.
I really don’t know how to handle this realization that all this time I’ve been missing out..!

Reply

I love them all, but Tagalongs are my favorites! I try to avoid buying buying them because I know I’ll eat way too many! Brooke looks super happy to be in her new stroller!

Reply

Thin Mints are the best kind-NO QUESTION!! :) And when they’re cold they are even better! I always get thin mints for me and shortbread for the son.
I love spinach and red leaf lettuce mixed together.
Brooke looks adorable in BOB.

Reply

Thin Mints. Crumbled into froyo or vanilla ice cream.
And no, I will try to avoid the cookies.
Romaine is my lettuce of choice.
I take walks in the afternoon. To get the mail, with the dogs, just to get out and relieve some stress.

Ok I want a do-si-do NOW! All these flavors sound great!

Reply

Thin mints frozen are the best ever!!

I want to order some so bad – but I have zero restraint around them…so not getting this yr :(

Reply

So glad the stroller is amazing – what a great great present for you!!

I go on walks everytime I’m back with my parents – such a great way to chat and catch up!

Reply

It’s not even a question – THIN MINTS!!

Reply

Samoas are my favorite, but I was recently diagnosed with celiac so no more gluten for me unfortunately. Sad! Girl Scout cookies are my fave!

Reply

Cold tagalobg are what heaven must taste like. I order tagalongs and thin mints from coworkers daughters every year:)

Reply

samoas for sure. I bought 1 box this year for my kids and they were hooked! I eat spinch the most..love it! and walks are hard since my oldest (3) doesnt want the stroller anymore and walks like a slow poke:-)

Reply

I would have liked to SEE you eat that dinner lol. Gotta be a tough one!

Reply

Samoas! Did you know that Edy’s has/had a samoas flavored ice cream, bet you’d love that. Not sure if it’s still in stores since it was a limited edition kind of thing.

Reply

Frozen Thin Mints!!!!

Reply

Thin Mints for sure!

Reply

Samoas are the best cookies, hands down. I used to buy cookies from my boss’ kids, but since I changed jobs, I don’t have anyone to buy from. It might be for the best. Then again, the girl scouts usually set up shop outside the grocery store, so I’ll get suckered in one way or the other.

Reply

THIN MINTS!!!!! Put them in the freezer and they are SOOOOO good. I could EASILY eat an entire sleeve in 1 sitting.

Reply

Frozen thin mints and samoas for the win!

Reply

Tagalogs!!!
And please let us know when you find these sundaes, I’m on a mission to expand the number of chocolate peanut butter foods I love :)

Reply

samoas, tagalongs and thin mints!! I cant pick just one!!!

Reply

Brooke is so cute in that picture!
I like The peanut butter cookies and I have a few packages coming my way!
I put spinach in a smoothie most mornings.

Reply

I could eat an entire box of thin mints in one sitting.. Maybe it’s a good thing that I haven’t had a Girl Scout come to the door yet.. Haha! Why is it impossible to find Girl Scouts selling cookies in central Wisconsin?!

Reply

Samoas (or caramel delights as they were called way back when) are definitely my favorite! We bought some girl scout cookies the other day and while my 6yr old was eating one he exclaimed, “these cookies make me want to canoe!” I could not figure where in the world he came up with that. Then I saw that the girls on the box are canoeing. :)

Reply

Samoas! I have gotten into the habit of taking walks with my boyfriend on Sundays. Great way to wrap up the weekend!

Reply

One of my GFs got a BOB and was so beyond excited, I am pumped you have your very own now too! And for the cookies… I there is a tie with the Smoas and Tagalongs for my fave and then the runner up is the Thin Mint!

Reply

I’m trying NOT to buy any this year.. I love the lemon cookies.. so I need to stay away from the Girl Scouts!

Reply

#1 – Thin Mints
#2 – Tagalongs

I used to buy them every year but since I can’t eat gluten anymore I don’t… whomp whomp… I feel so awful saying no to the Girl Scouts!!! I think this year I’ll buy some if they stop me (they are everywhere in Chicago!) and just give them to someone.

Reply

Frozen Thin Mints all the way!! I have not purchased any boxes so far this year, and most likely won’t. I know…Just don’t need them. lol. My parents have thin mints in their freezer though…I’ve already eaten 4 a few days back. :-)

I am a big spinach eater! That’s all I ever eat now if I have a salad. I love walks, especially power walking…on the treadmill!

Reply

We only get the thin mints, or plain vanilla or chocolate here! We are getting ripped off! haha. I love thin mints but samosas look really good.
Spinach all the time, I rarely have romaine, unless its a salad at a restaurant.
In the summer we go for a walk a week, but not lately in the (cold) winter!

Reply

Oh hey Happy Brookers! On an average day – samoas. But around Christmastime I just get into minty everything mode, so…
Also lettuce if it’s Mexican or Mediterranean cuisine, spinach if anything else :)

Reply

Tagalongs are my favorite!!! I ordered 2 boxed the other day :) I probably eat romaine a bit more often however if I ever make a smoothie or omellete I always throw in some spinach. I don’t go on walks very often now that its in the single digits, but once it starts to warm up a bit I will!

Reply

I’m glad you love your new present! Girl Scout cookies are so awesome. My niece just joined brownies and was selling them this year so my fiance and I loaded up. I think my favorites are probably thin mints, but I also love the shortbreads. Where the heck do I find one of those sundaes? I think I might be dreaming about those tonight…

Reply

Tag a longs no doubt! I love anything with peanut buttaaaa! I usually buy spinach, I love it in a berry salad! I usually don’t go on walks this time of year cause I live in the Apocalypse where is snows all the time, but in summer I love walks!

Reply

I’m trying to eat really really healthy this year. Rare since I live on marshmallows and cereal. I’ve actually limited myself to one box of cereal a month. And if My fiance finishes the cereal before I get a bowl then thats my fault. But my sister is a girl scout this year so I felt like I HAD to order 6 boxes of tagalongs. oops

Reply

Somoas, thin mints, and spinach, oh my! The hubster and I love walks with the fur baby! We try for a few times of week, sometimes as a post run cool down :-)

Reply

SAMOAS ARE THE BEST! I ordered some from a close family friend and now I am counting down the days til the sugary goodness reaches me :)

Reply

Call m crazy but I don’t like Girl Scout cookies. Yikes

Reply

Frozen thin mints are by far the best. Samoas and tagalongs are a distant second. We have already bought AND consumed our Girl Scout cookies. So good! Love your stroller! Brooke is so cute!!

Reply

I think I have to go with the simple, but awesome, shortbreads!

Reply

I love thin mints and peanut butter patties. Thin mints in the freezer!? Heaven. I don’t really eat GS cookies anymore because I don’t buy them for myself, but if I’m ever at my parents and there’s some cookies there, you better know that I’m gonna chow down on all the cookies in the house. Have you tried Edy’s Thin Mint Ice Cream? They also make Samoa ice cream. Delicious.

I eat spinach definitely. They don’t make a bag of spinach large enough for my enjoyment. Not even Sam’s Club…

Reply

Samoas!!!!!!!
They have some that Keebler makes year round, they’ll do in a pinch but they really aren’t quite the same!

Reply

I will be one of the few who adores the Lemonades!

Reply

I need to remember this stroller for when I have children! I LOVE thin mints, seriously cannot be trusted around them!

Reply

Hands down – Tagalongs! You really can’t go wrong w/ chocolate and PB!!

I go on a walk at least once, sometimes twice a day to walk my dog – he’s a 2 year old lab mix so he’s high high energy!! The jogging stroller looks great – I’ll have to keep it in mind when I have a baby.

Reply

I was all about the lemon chalet cremes for years ….. until they came out with Samoas.
Have fun with your new toy! Happy Birthday!

Reply

I love the Lemonades too!! And, Thin Mints, and Somoas, and all the rest. I try not to buy any because forget a sleeve, I can polish off a box of any flavor in one sitting without knowing! Not good for my weightloss plan. I went for a walk with my son and my dog yesterday. It was glorious – no sweating, no puffing, no pushing myself to the limits, just leisure and sunshine!

Reply

Agreed – samosas are the best! And we love our BOB – best money spent for the baby and Mom’s running sanity!

Reply

I need one of those sundaes. My favorite is thin mints. I don’t go on walks as often as I should…Brooke looks so happy!

Reply

samosas are amaze but so are the tagalongs and do-si-dos… and thin mints.. good lord I’m a fatty at heart!

Reply

Samoas for sure are the best Girl Scout cookie!! I ordered a box from my little cousin and cannot wait to get them.

Reply

I used to be dead set on the shortbread! I could probably eat a whole box of shortbread without thinking about it. Now I like the Samoas because of the texture and just every little thing about it :)

Reply

Samoas!!!! I didn’t even know they had so many flavors! Mostly I just eat lots of samoas with a few thin mints thrown in for variety every now and then.

Reply

I need some Girl Scout cookies in my life! Where are all the Girl Scouts lately?! My favorites are Samoas with Tag-A-Longs right behind them.
During the non-winter months, we go on a walk almost every evening since we have two crazy labs that need to get their energy out. January consisted of almost NO walks though thanks to the frigid temps, but it’s fiiiinally starting to warm up a little bit so we’ve been on a few lately. I love our walks though… I love the fresh air and catching up with my hubby after our work days.
Spinach vs. romaine – definitely spinach! I buy romaine sometimes, but both my husband and I prefer spinach.

Reply

I actually am not a coconut fan so I dont love samoas. Im kinda lame and my favs are actually the short bread or thin mints when im feeling wild!
I dont usually buy GS cookies but it seems someone at my work always does, etc so i manage to get them somehow!

Reply

I like your new bangs!! :) Bangs friend did aa good job replicating them for you!

Reply

I definitely have to vote for Tagalongs…nothing beats the peanut butter/chocolate combo!

Reply

I agree, Samoas are my favorite. When we lived in Ft Worth, there used to be a cupcake place that made Samoa cupcakes twice a week and they were the BOMB! I have to learn to recreate that recipe.

Reply

1 cup of salsa sounds juuuuuust perfect :D And walking is totally my jam. I gave up pretty much all forms of actual exercise and switched over to walking every day, and I can honestly say that I’ve never felt better. As for Girl Scout cookies… I can’t eat them because of allergies :( But I’ve made my own Samoas before and they were fabulous

Reply

I’m a chocolate girl all the way, but I must say, do-si-dos are my favorite. Mainly because I can pull them apart and eat the “peanut butter” (because I’m sure it’s real PB) all by itself :-)

Reply

I’m with you. Samoas! Hands down!!

Reply

I teach second and third grade-right now I rotate through the flavors with each order-you know just to keep it interesting. But GS cookies have a LOT of calories and I don’t love them enough to spend my calories on too many of them.

Reply

I use walking as a method of transport, and don’t really “go on walks” unless they’re to the bus stop, or subway, or supermarket, etc.

There are no Girl Scouts in Singapore, ergo no GSCs. *sadface*, because Samoas ARE the best. And WHO is making those scrumptious looking sundaes??

I’m consoling myself with Tim-Tams, though, which I must admit are pretty tasty (I go for the dark chocolate ones!).

Reply

I have 3 girls selling Girl Scout cookies, so we have ordered 30 boxes. We are set or the year :).

Reply

Samoas, Samoas, Samoas, Samoas,Samoas…. you get the picture. Since I somehow feel that one serving equals one box, they can’t come in the house anymore! :)

Reply

Samoas. Hands down. I never understand the obsession with thin mints. They are ok, but nothing compared to Samoas.

Reply

Samos, no question! And yes, I will get them. I find it hard to walk by those cute little girls without buying at least 5 boxes…
I often mix spinach & romaine together, usually a little more romaine
I take my little 4 pound & 10 pound dog walking whenever I can (and it isn’t raining (I live in Seattle)
BTW, that salad looks amazing, and those sundaes…what a noble life goal to eat them (all the flavors I assume?)

Reply

Agreed. Samoas are the best kind!

I eat spinach more often. I buy the biggest container of it I can find. Usually at Costco and use it for salads, smoothies, omelets and everything else I can think to throw it in.

I like walks. Any reason to be outside works for me.

Reply

Thin mints are the best without question!

Reply

Trefoils or Thin Mints rock! Ive never tried Samoas…

Reply

Thin mints!!!

I had the same dinner as you did last night — seven layer bean dip on a tostada topped with spinach. Still trying to get through the Super Bowl bean dip. Ha!

BOB strollers are the best.

Reply

Do-si-dos! I normally do buy about 6 boxes but end up donating them to the local food pantry due to zero self control. OMG…what I wouldn’t do right now for a row of those babies!!!
Spinach is a staple for me, not a romaine lover.
I try to go on walks about 3 nights a week after getting out of the salon to wind down.

Reply

Lemonades?? Lemon Chalet Cremes?!?!?!

Are these magical Left-Coast-Only Girl Scout cookies? I’ve not seen them offered over here on the East Coast and seeing as how Lemon is my favorite cookie flavor of all time, I would be ALL OVER THEM and buy CASES.

Seriously, if someone will ship them to me, I will buy them from you!

As it is, I always buy a case of Savannah Smiles for myself and a case of Samoas for my husband. We freeze them and try to ration them and make them last for the year. They used to make this creme filled sandwich cookie with a little dollop of raspberry jelly on the top that I adored, but I don’t think they make them anymore. =(

Reply

Love my BOB!! Look out for flat tires, they can really ruin your day. I take mine to a bike shop and voila. Definitely samoas. No contest!

Reply

I used to love Thin Mints! Wish they made a gluten free version. Also your dinner from last night looks really good! I’m a spinach girl, all the way. I eat it like twice a day. Obsessed.

Reply

Where are those gs sundaes?!??

Reply

Samoas first, then Thin Mints! Where, oh where can I get one of those sundaes? That Samoas one looks delicious!
I had a BOB Revolution Duallie when my twins were little and it was such a sad day when I sold it. We could even wheel three kids around with it when my daughter sat on the footrest part. I loved that stroller!

Reply

I have had so many girl scouts come to my door this year. I can’t stand to tell them no and thin mints are my absolute favorite. I’m going to have a problem on my hands when they all start getting delivered.

Reply

Weeeird, I’ve never seen most of those cookies before! In Canada (or at least on my side of it), we get the mint thins (yummy!) and the packs that are half vanilla and half chocolate. I LOVE them!! I’m not a big fan of the chocolate, but I could easily devour the vanilla side of the bix in 4.2 seconds. So good :)

Reply

I ordered soooo many cookies this year, because there are 3 different Girl Scouts on our street, and I couldn’t say no to any of them :) I am all about the Thin Mint, but my kids love Peanut Butter Patties so we will have tons of both. P.S. I never knew until I was 20 that the cookies had different names in other areas – I had no clue what tagalongs, samoas, or do-si-dos were!

Reply

Thin mints yummy my fav. Beautiful smile on both you and your daughter. That stroller really looks line the Cadillac if all strollers. Enjoy

Reply

So glad Brooke loves her stroller!

Reply

THat dinner looks amazing!!!!! And I have been PATIENTLY waiting for my order of girl scout cookies to come in!!! Samoas are definitely my favorite!

Reply

Omg I need to go buy some girl scout cookies. Also, where the heck do they sell those sundaes? I need one ASAP. Thin mints and samoas are by far my faves! I am a sucker for anything chocolate/mint and also caramel!

You have trained Brooke SUPER well – she is so good at looking at the camera and smiling in pics!

Reply

PS you will love this – I’m going on a first date tonight (hopefully first of multiple!) and he suggested we meet for DESSERT. He’s already won my heart.

Reply

Samoas 4 life! They have like a millions calories per cookie, though. It’s rather shocking. The next best are Thin Mints, followed by Do-Si-Dos and then Trefoils. I’m somewhat of a connoisseur. :-)

Reply

omg brooke is so cute!!! and so delighted to be in the new stroller! lol

it just occurred to me that in your updated about me, you look a little bit (just a little) like a thinner amanda bynes ????

Reply

Samoas and Thin mints, without a question! I ordered some girl scout cookies a couple weeks ago (I just couldn’t say no to that cute little girl! I’m not a monster!!) and I’m anxiously awaiting their arrival! I may have to try out those sundaes. Yum!

Reply

Samoas, hands down!! I love them!

I didn’t order any GS cookies but I usually do because I was a GS and feel a soft spot for them!

I usually mix romaine and spinach because nobody else in my family likes salads with only spinach!

Reply

Tagalongs have my heart for-ev-er, although I have been known to cover samoas in brownie batter that turned out amAYzing (http://wildveg.blogspot.com/2011/02/brownie-covered-girl-scout-cookies.html, if anyone’s interested). I’m a romaine girl all the way – I like the heft to it so it can hold all my toppings!

Reply

For those that love Thin Mints, try putting Mint Chocolate Gu in the freezer. It tastes very much like a Thin Mint. Also, it makes a great topping over vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream.

I’m glad you and Brooke love your BOB. We’re waiting for ours to arrive and for it to be above 20 degrees so we can take Susanna out in it.

Reply

Frozen thin mints are hands down the best kind but the lemon ones are good too.

Reply

the tagalongs are my hands down favorite. chocolate…good, peanut butter…good, cookie….good. Add it all up and you can’t go wrong. Sadly I can’t eat gluten though so no GS cookies for me :(

Reply

I’m a new reader of your blog!! Love it!! Your marathon times are amaaazing. And your baby is too cute, I can’t even stand it. I love me some thin mints. Mmm-mm. I go on walks all the time with my hub… when it’s not winter in Chicago. ;)

Reply

Samoas and tagalogs are my favorites. i don’t usually buy GS Cookies, but last year I couldn’t resist :) going to have to hunt down some GS in my area and buy some.
When I was visiting family in Hungary we would walk everywhere, even while touring around we’d walk. But everyday after dinner my sister and mom and I would walk. It was a necessity to help balance out all the food my aunt kept making for us ;) I tend to have spinach every other day. I used to have it everyday when I drank green smoothies like it was my job.

Reply

My favorites have always been Tagalongs, but I might have to try the Do-Si-Dos mmm.

I am assuming so, but you did mean MOUSSE and not MOUSE pie right ;o) hahahahahhaa

Reply

Thin mints are my favorite! I’m so lucky, I have a girl scout right next door.

Reply

Tagalongs! Not buying any this year, but I love them! We take the dog on walks and stop at the park if the weather’s nice.

Reply

um I am just going to say that the mango cookies are definately not a favorite!

Reply

Girl, your photos lately have been killer! New camera? Either way, your food is making me even more hungry now. :)

Reply

Thin mints are a gift from heaven. Just saying. I love putting them in the freezer so they melt in my mouth! :)

Reply

Definitely TAGALONGS!! By a long shot! Those sundaes look SOOO good!

I’m not a mom (yet) but I can’t wait to have a baby and run with a jogging stroller!! I may be more excited about the stroller than the child, is that weird?

Reply

Not weird at all! It is my main motivation to have a baby right now. I have wanted a BOB for the past couple of years only recently have I thought I might need a baby also.

Reply

You two are so happy!! Love it!
My favorite are the Samoas followed by Lemonades. I stalk the little Girl Scout’s and pick up at least 10 boxes every year.
Spinach because it’s more versatile. Plus I pick up a huge bag from Costco and if it’s close to dying I steam it with sea salt, pepper & a squeeze of fresh lemon.

Reply

Seriously – I almost teared up a bit over the new stroller. I remember getting mine & now, at 5 1/2 my son wants to run the races instead of riding along. You are going to love the stroller (though it sounds like you already do). I actually ran a trail race with mine & the kiddo had tons of fun going over all the rocks/tree roots!

Reply

Samoas or thin mints! No question.

Reply

Samoas, hands down! My second favorite would be tagalongs, and then thin mints (in the freezer – crumbled over ice cream). I haven’t bought GS cookies in a few years (we try to eat very little added sugar), but this year my mom ordered a box of samoas for me and a box of tagalongs for Daniel. I guess we’ll have to eat them. :)

There is a park one-third of a mile from our house, and during the spring/summer/fall we walk and run down there quite often. We also like to walk our dogs a lot!

Reply

Tagalongs are the best. Those sundae’s look incredible!

I’m gald you love your stroller! It will make life so much easier for you!

Reply

Samoas are my fav! Thin mints are a close second though.

Reply

I usually go with the samoas and tagalongs… but the DO-SI-DO??? Those look amaaaazing.
And I love that first picture. Your daughter is so photogenic (like her parents!).

Reply

Tagalongs!! I can’t believe you would give up peanut butter and chocolate! :)

Reply

Amen to the Samoas. We got some, and it’s taking all of my power to not eat the whole box right away.

Reply

I haven’t seen any girl scouts for YEARS, but if I come across any, I will be buying FOR SURE.

I love a good walk, especially chatty ones with friends. I typically love Spinach, but I recently bought the romaine hearts to use as taco boats or sandwich wraps with turkey and mustard.

Reply

That chocolate mousse looks delicious. I eat romaine much more than spinach – spinach I can take or leave!

Reply

Samoas are the best.

The end.

:D

Reply

I love Tagalongs and Thin Mints!

Reply

THIN MINTS fo sho. NO question ;)

Reply

I love walks but often forget how nice they are because I’m always running. When my running friend was injured we met for a hike and were laughing at how great it was to just walk! I haven’t had GSC since I was a kid, but I used to love Thin Mints amd Samoas :)

Reply

I LOVE samoas!!! I loved the samoas nestle crunch and the eddy’s somoas ice cream!!!

Reply

Where.Do.You.Get.The.Sundaes. ????? !!!!!!!!!! omg

Reply

I automatically assumed your favorite would be thin mints because I thought everyone’s favorite was thin mints (mine included!), but it’s not?!?! I suppose Samoas are good as well.

Reply

Thin Mints are where it’s at! Samoas are my #2.

I used to be a Girl Scout and selling cookies was the best time of year, everyone loves a Girl Scout at cookie time!

Reply

I live in the city without a car so I pretty much have to walk everywhere unless I cough up money (that I dont have!) for a cab. I hardly ever just “go for a walk” for exercise though.

-Molly

Reply

I agree that Samoas are by far the best. Where are those ice cream sundaes from!? They look amazing.

Reply

I love all Girl Scout cookies. I would have to say my “favorites” are the Tagalongs.

Reply

Caramel de Lites, then Thin Mints, then the lemon ones that came out last year.

I literally order 20 boxes of thin mints a year to bake with!

Reply

On second thought, I think the lemon ones I am referring to are the lemonades, and they may have come out before last year.

Also, I have never had a tagalong. I think this needs to be remedied ASAP.

Reply

picking a favorite girl scout cookie is like picking a favorite amongst children! all are so good.

Reply

Tagalongs are the BEST GS cookie. Ever! I have not bought any in a long time though. I have no self control so it’s best to not even buy a box.

Whenever I make a salad, which is daily, I do a mix of romaine and spinach.

Reply

I agree that Samoas are obviously the best. For some reason the other members of my family still have not figured this out. Where on earth can you get those sundae dashers?!? Oh my! I really want to make one of those when my cookies are delivered! Samoas, thin mints, and tagalongs were ordered this year.

I prefer spinach but eat romaine more often.

I need to walk more, but lately it is always dark when I am at home. :(

Reply

Brooke is so adorable on this picture!!

Janae, I have been following you for ages and between your “running tips for beginners” and “how to start blogging” posts you have really inspired me to finally start my own blog!Thank you! First post is just up, scary!

Unfortunately, no GS cookies form me as I am in London. I eat spinach more often and walk to work every day (2K each way) :)

Reply

P.S: What happened to FMW, haven’t seen them in a long time ;)

Reply

You are just too cute in this picture! And Brooke is adorable too! I am being smart and taking a few days off running too (ankle hurts, nothing to serious but I can’t figure out what I did? weird!). Jillian’s 30 Day shred (modified) and the bike at the gym are helping me wait it out, but maybe tomorrow???

Reply

Love the Zebra print! So, I need to register for a BOB right? I feel like this will be a necessity for me once baby girl is born! Beautiful pics of you and Brookie.

Reply

Jess you NEED a BOB. I got a double BOB after my 2nd was born and it is still my most prized baby gear ever! Nothing else even compares and don’t let anyone tell you differently! :). Mine is still in awesome shape and I run with it all the time, it’s also great for trails and of course walking. I am currently pregnant with my 4th so it’s definitely going to get used for awhile longer:). P.S. did your prenatal workout from your blog this morning, thank you it was awesome! 5 rounds and I was tired!

Reply

Oh my! I thought you were running with a BOB the whole time. I absolutely love my BOB and have the same one as you, looks like. It is so easy to run with, and to go faster with for sure!

Reply

I ran with my baby in a “baby jogger” about, oh, 21 years ago. Best time ever! Thanks for the dinner idea!

Reply

I am a HUGE sucker for thin mints and Samoas, ugh! Thankfully I rarely eat them but still, I heart them :)
And the BOB is by far the best stroller out there. I tried so many before the BOB…wished I would have known the amazing-ness that it was long ago!

Reply

Thin Mints hands down – put ’em in the freezer!!!

Reply

Is that the Bob Revolution SE? That’s what I have too but I haven’t used it yet. My little boy is 5 days old so I guess I have an excuse. :) Reading your blog has gotten me so motivated to run again. Any tips on jogging with a stroller??

PS: frozen thin mints are the best!

Caramel Delights will ALWAYS be my favorite. You can’t go wrong with the combination

Is that teeth I see??? Does baby Brooke have teeth? She looks SO big in the stroller. Glad you loved it. I knew before I even got pregnant, that the Bob would be the first thing I wanted. And ya, I think my mom is going to get me one!

Of course I’m buying GS cookies this year – I think it’s about 29 boxes that will be shared with husband, two adult sons, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. Favorite cookie was dropped last year – lemon creams (whatever they were called) – but Tagalongs and Samoas easily take second and third place. And one son and daughter asked for lots of Tagalongs. Husband is a Trefoil junkie.

Samoas and Thin Mints. Yum. I store them in the freezer because they last *slightly* longer and because cold and extra crunchy cookies are delicious!!

First- your little girl is a doll!

We walk/jog every single day and there’s no doubt a good stroller can make life so much easier. Your recipes look amazing too!!

Samoas!! For sure!!!
Num num!!! Haven’t bought any yet this year, but now ( not sure why…) have a mad craving for them :)

You and Brooke are SO cute.

And believe it or not, I have NEVER had a Girl Scout cookie. It must not be a canadian thing. . .

I love the Peanut Butter chocolate ones! SO GOOD! I am planning on staying away from them this year though! Your daughter is so precious!

Do-Si-Dos (PB sandwiches) are my absolute favorite. And even though I don’t like chocolate, for some reason I do like Thin Mints (weird huh?), but only one or two and I’m done. I also love Trefoils (Shortbread), but I don’t admit that too often since no one likes those. (more for me!)
