Beware: I am blogging from my phone= more typos than normal. I got Brooke a new stroller (turns out that ones back starts to hurt when you carry a baby too much) this morning so we have been exploring the city and going to the city’s finest restaurants like Subway. See you in the morning after we have walked around the entire city! You think I am kidding about that but I’m not.

Any fun plans for tonight?

I have a running stroller but her neck isn’t strong enough for it yet so we are going to use this one for the first six months! Hope you are having a great day!

Good for you if you are leaning to the cautious side… But if you’re okay with trying it, we bought this banana thing from babies r us that attaches to any jogging stroller to support their neck.. I started at about 3 months.. You do still have to be cautious of big bumps though!

My plans are being lazy. Does that count as being fun? Oh wait yes…I love to be lazy.

Reply

Yes that definitely counts as fun!!!! Have some pancakes too:)

Reply

By be lazy, I mean eat pancakes, read blogs and lay in bed watching trashy TV…for the win. ;)

It’d be fun to see where you went :) oooooh hopefully downtown area with Psycho Donuts??

I like Brooke’s sideway’s look btw. She’s fixed on something over there :)

Hahha she was eyeing a sandwich! Good call on the donut place… I am on my way there now;)

I am making a fun dessert tonight– Can’t Leave Alone Bars!

Reply

I need the recipe!! I have never heard of them before!

Reply

Mmm, it is from the cookbook my aunt gave me at my bridal shower, Taste of Home Most Requested Recipes! http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Can-t-Leave-Alone-Bars

Reply

Holy cow those look good! I will be making those!

Saving your back so you’ll be able to pick her up with as much excitement when she’s older would probably be a good thing. As much as you love carrying her now, she’ll be able to remember the later year’s lifty-spinny hugs so much more (what my Dad and I have always called the hugs where he lifts me off my feet and spins me around).
Pretty sure the town isn’t ready to be taken by storm by two such fabulous ladies!!
It’s like Sex and the City meets Shopaholic and Mini but rocking the Mizunos instead of the Manolos ;)

Have you been to Original Joe’s downtown yet??? If you haven’t go……now! It’s like my favorite place ever!

What is it?!? I want to go!!!!!!

Plans–library card issues, dinner, TV show/movie yay!

Plans for tonight include catch up on blog reading, watch The Office, and eat a big bowl of dessert. Hopefully my biggest decision of the night will be choosing which dessert to have :)

Tonight is a small group for our church that we host at our place. Just starting and I am both nervous and excited at the same time. Ugh. Hope you enjoyed your walk! When I day dream about my upcoming maternity leave and not having to be stuck in the office all day all I think about is long aimless walks with the babies. Can’t wait.

Reply

Ooh sounds so fun!! Can’t wait to see where you went.
Making dinner and picking up my race packet for my first duathlon at the beach.

Reply

I am stoked about your duathlon and I want to hear all about it!

Have fun! Walking cities are the best! I have the house to myself for a few hours so I’m going to bed early to enjoy Grey’s Anatomy :)

Reply

I’m going to watch my daughter’s choir concert then take her out for fro-yo. (Any excuse to go get some fro-yo!)

Reply

My plans included teaching a Zumba class then coming home to chill and eat leftovers with Daniel and peruse Pinterest. Mission accomplished.

Looks like a perfect fit!

This might sound weird, but I actually took my daughter for runs in a stroller like that until she was old enough for the jogger. It wasn’t smooth like the jogger, but it allowed me to go running. Just something to think about :P

Reply

Aw you will have so much fun exploring with the new stroller! My plans involve icing my shins and eating mint chocolate chip ice cream. Woohoo! haha

Good luck walking around the entire city of San Jose! :) I lived here 90% of my life and still haven’t managed to do that!

Fun plans: ballet and surprise birthday party for roommate’s girlfriend!

Hey! Thought about you and foam rolling…check out these exercises on our good ‘ol friend the foam roller! http://www.active.com/running/Articles/10-Self-Myofascial-Release-Exercises-for-Runners.htm

Strollers are great! But, if you want to continue to carry her I always recommend getting a wrap or carrier. My son loves it and I get to keep him close and cuddle him still! :)

Tonight I am hoping to relax with a book!

Reply

I got a wrap and I LOVE IT but needed something more convenient for walking more and shopping:) What book are you reading?

Reply

That definitely makes sense! My son has started throwing fits in his stroller and just wants us to carry him. He’s a very dramatic 7 month old. haha. Of course, I miss the days when he would just hang out in his stroller and be happy with it!

I just finished reading Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver. It’s the 2nd book in a series. And a young adult book…but I’m ok with that!

Reply

oooo, it looks pretty cute! my plans this evening included crisping up some leftover domino’s, watching gilmore girls, and sitting in the sauna at the gym [not actually working out, obviously].

Reply

We just got back from dinner with some friends! It was awesome and so fun to have some adult conversation.

Reply

Ha – just read this and about to walk to Subway for dinner with husband. I remember when we were looking at this apartment to rent and I knew it was meant to be when I saw the yellow + green sign just around the corner.

Reply

Training clients till 7:30 then relaxin’ with hubby with some cereal and tv.
Its now 8:40 and I can hardly keep my eyes open…sack time for me:)

Reply

She looks excited to be out and about!

Plans tonight are to go to bed soon and get some much needed sleep. Super exciting!

Reply

I did nothing exciting tonight. I’m getting my hospital bag ready for when I’m in labour and added a new pair of fuzzy purple slippers to it that I bought today :).
Now off to watch Greys anatomy and then bed :)

Reply

Hahah! I can’t imagine how your back must feel after carrying Brooke for so many weeks. You definitely needed a stroller :)

Reply

Last night (the night you were talking about in your post), I went to dinner with a friend I’ve known for 23 years and my brother. We went to The Counter – YUM! Have you been? http://www.thecounterburger.com/menu/

Create your own burger! Bison + grilled onions + roasted garlic aioli + onion straws + fro yo for dessert = Nicole a happy girl!

Reply

Yay for a new ride! I’m impressed that you’ve been carrying her around all the time up until now!

Reply

I’m telling you, you need to get an ERGO baby carrier. Then you can hold her all the time and it doesn’t hurt you. They are so comfy for mom and baby :)

Reply

Hi –
What kind of stroller are you using with her car seat! I am looking to purchase one. Thanks!

Reply

It is a Greco snap and go and we love it so so so much!
