I got a new job….

Just call me professor.

Photo 2

Okay maybe not professor but I do have my very own class that I will be teaching now at Brigham Young University….SPIN!!! I have one 6 a.m. class (all that I can fit in my schedule right now) that I will be doing, it is just like a P.E. type class where it will be the same students each week with roll/attendance/participation etc.  I am pretty stoked about it.  I have really been missing teaching spin classes ever since my old gym cut out ALL of the classes back in June.

Be prepared for many new spin playlists and workouts coming your way.

After signing up for payroll and filling out a bunch of paper work I met up for my sister at the gym.  I think it was my favorite gym trip ever in my whole life with her.  We talked the entire time and had a great workout.  Weights, 15 minutes elliptical and a 5.25 mile run @ a slow pace to allow us to talk.

I came home more than ready for lunch.  Going from left to right:  apple with greek yogurt (pb added later), salad with a chicken breast and Catalina dressing (so delicious and only 400 grams of sugar…it tastes like candy) and a piece of bread heated up in the microwave (my new favorite thing in the world, I roll it up in a ball and eat it like that).

IMG 1385

Pretty balanced lunch if I do say so myself.  Yes, I am trying to eat a tad bit healthier and incorporate all of the food groups into my eats.

I shouldn’t be allowed to have nice things.

IMG 1387

My computer, phone and lip stuff are always within 2 feet of me.

Check out the NEXT EPISODE from the Chocolate Milk Refuel Team when we were in Vegas HERE!!!!

OK I keep getting errors when I try to comment. Third time’s the charm, right?

I want to take your spin class!! It’s totally normal to drive 45 minutes for a 6 am spin class, yes? Maybe I will take the Trax and sleep on the way there and back!

I am a public relations professional at a children’s hospital, but I miss teaching dance!

Reply

I keep getting errors also!

Reply

Congrats!! I’m excited for your new spin playlists :)

If I had unlimited money I’d always buy Justin’s Nut Butter PB but usually I just get Skippy Natural when it’s on sale.

I had a tuna salad open-faced sandwich (made with yogurt, not mayo) with spinach and melted cheese.

I went for a short run this morning in the 6 degree cold we’re getting now up north. I can still feel it in my lungs!

I buy Jif Natural or this tasty stuff: http://vtpeanutbutter.com/. Mmmm =)

Excited to hear about your new job. I’ve been meaning to take a spinning class for a while now but still haven’t tried it! I would take your class if I could though! Good luck =)

Just another reason i wish we lived in the same city…..I so would be in your spin class! Lucky, lucky BYU students.

Congrats! That is awesome, and now I am wishing I was still a BYU student so I could take your class!

I did J. Michael’s 30 Day Shred this morning…I’m always surprised at how hard it works me. But today I was happy that I was able to do it at a really hard effort and felt like it was a great workout even though it was quick.

Congrats on your new job! I think you will be a fabulous spin teacher – full of energy and positivity!

Reply

Congrats! that is very cool.

I did a short run and some weights this morning before work.

Lunch today was a Chipotle salad with carnitas and guacamole. YUM! Gluten Free Eggplant Parm for dinner.

I usually buy almond butter instead of PB, but when I buy PB it’s usually Justin’s or the kind you grind yourself at the store

Reply

I totally took an early morning spin class through USU when I went to school. The only problem is it was REALLY hard to climb out of bed & go when it was 3 degrees outside. But I did it!

My lunch was oatmeal with greek yogurt topped with blackberries & pomegranates. That is usually my breakfast, but I’m living on the wild side and switching things up. lol.

Skippy Natural – I get in when it goes on sale for ajust over $1 a jar on Amazon.

I am off to do some workout DVD’s (once again, I could not drag my butt out of bed this morning) while one child sleeps and the other has quiet time – my job is a mom :)

Reply

Congrats on the new job! My job = freelance writing. I love it!
Today’s workout = 6 mile run, but it will have to wait until later tonight.

I am doing my teaching internship, getting my masters, and I have 3 other part-time jobs!!

My workout of the day was a class called Pure Barre, it kicks my butt every day!!

I’m addicted to peanut butter and co honey nutter, I eat it with everything!

Congratulations on the new job!!

Reply

Your salad looks so good!

My lunch was my favorite salad: broccoli slaw, shredded carrots, veggie sausage patty, some peanuts, hummus, and lentil chips all mixed together. Served with a big cup of frozen fruit and a banana!

My workout tonight will be a mini circuit since I have plans right after work — 10 crunches/10 push ups/10 squats 5x.

My favorite peanutbutter is white chocolate peanutbutter but I usually buy Better n’ butter so I don’t eat the whole jar!

Reply

Wooohoo! Congrats on the new gig and you all look so cute in the video :)

Like you, I am also a teacher! I teach middle school math.

Congrats on the job, that’s really awesome. Wish I went to byu so I could take your class. How do you become spin certified anyway?

Reply

Congratulations on the new spin class! How fun!

Jobs – I teach 7th grade, coach varsity cheerleading, personal trainer, zumba/cardio dance instructor (about 8 classes per week), random fitness class instructor (a couple of abs classes, strength training, etc). It stays busy, but I love all my jobs!

For lunch today, I broke out my juicer for the first time (I got it Christmas 2010 – oops). I juiced lemon, orange, celery, spinach, carrots, and pineapple. It was awesome! I also had some sharp cheddar cheese and some raw almonds.

PB – I recently ordered wild squirrel nut butter – it is amazing. My favorite is their original kind – sneaky cinnamon (cinnamon and raisins in my pb????the best!).

My workout tonight is teaching abs class and then zumba. Much love!

Reply

Congratulations on your new gig! How exciting!

I went out for what was supposed to be a nice easy 3-mile run in Chicago’s “warm” (46-degree) weather today. Not my best day – didn’t fuel properly beforehand and was feeling some hip pain. =( Here’s hoping that the next run is better – it’s frustrating how unpredictable it can be.

I buy whatever brand of creamy peanut butter is on sale. I am an equal opportunity peanut butter eater (as long as it’s creamy). =)

Congrats on the new job! That’s perfect!

Mom of 5- And I teach 30 piano students. I would rather cut back, but at least it is a job I love. I just got a new (used) YAMAHA grand piano for Christmas. BIG SMILES!!!! :) :) :)

I had a huge salad yesterday for lunch… SO YUMMY! Now if my avacados would just ripen… then it would have been perfect.

I ran 3 miles and then played basketball with my hubby & his buddies for an hour. Lots of fun!

dang, professor! Moving up in the world! that will be cool to encourage a bunch of college kids.

My job is Billy’s future job. As you know. I want an update on his law school list!

I LOVE how you eat your bread. I have this obsessions with soft soft soft foods. I don’t like anything crunchy, so cookie dough > cookies, bread > toast, oatmeal > granola, etc. I love a soft, warm, squishy piece of bread.
