The sun woke me up WAY earlier than we were going to leave to go mountain biking this morning so I started my morning reading blogs, that IS what most people in the world do first thing upon waking up. I got motivated by YOU GUYS to workout even though I was runningless and gymless.
Here’s how it went down homie g’s.
For more details on each move….GO HERE. Each move was 12-15 reps and 3 sets.
And the yoga download is a FREE app on the ipad and I did the yoga for runner’s which was 20 minutes.
There was also a few hours of this…..Mountain biking is a FULL BODY workout…believe you me and I only fell 1 time.
I need a shower. I need some ice cream. I am going to nap the whole car ride home:)

Tell me what YOUR WORKOUT WAS!?!?!
Do you like to mountain bike?
Do you ever do yoga at home?
-PS I know can no longer use the ‘no mat’ as an excuse….you can do it without a mat and I only got a few splinters.

I ran 7km this morning! 6am outside – was nice and cool, dare I say maybe too cool?! I love the heat!
I do like to do yoga at home, Yoga Meltdown – Jillian Michaels is the best :) I should check out home yoga routines too!
Emily
I love that picture of you yoga-ing! I’m awful at at-home workouts unless it’s a DVD. I like teachers yelling at me.
My workout is about to be a sunset run aka my favorite thing in the world.
Have a good day girl!

I have yoga’d at home a couple times but not as much as I should!
I have never mountain biked but that has something to do with I have never spent time in the mountains other than to grab a quick bite or to get gas, preferably not from the food but for the car! :-)
Today I ran a mile got all calf crampy, walked a mile and then bikes 3.5!!
Lauren
I’m planning on a 3 mile run with my pup after work followed by a 40 minute total body circuit with Jackie Warner on DVD…I hate her so much…in a good way!

Love free ipad apps! I’ll have to check this one out. I used to teach yoga at the high school I taught at – so now I do my own little yoga class with me, myself and I most mornings (sometimes my dog joins in, he has a mean downward and upward facing dog. His form is textbook).
Courtney @ Girl In The Pink
ps. your arms are hella toned. I need to be doing whatever it is you are doing!
Lina @ Lil B in the Big C
I’ve always wanted to try down hill mountain biking! Was it scary?!?! I have an “active rest” day today, so i’m walking 3.5 miles to my kickball game, then playing kickball on my coed team for an hour!

Dear Janae,
I do yoga at home all the time! Fun!
Can I come get sweaty on your deck? I’ll bring you delicious NY Cheesecake. Walking from Brooklyn should be a sufficient warmup, right?
xoxo

Today was Jillian Michaels 30-day shred and then off to sweat even more on a walk in the 117* heat index today — woah! I do yoga one and awhile — but my super-inflexible body can only take so much of it! :)
Lauren
Sweet mountain biking! I’ve only gone once, but it was so much fun. I love bringing my yoga mat into my back yard and doing an audio/video podcast. Combines sunshine + exercise, two of my favorite things.
Sabrina
I’ve tired yoga once. I am always afraid I will fall over or something. *sighs*
Enjoy your nap, and ice cream!

Girl, you are looking buff here! Seriously getting some muscle. nice job! And I did some yoga today at the gym and also do workouts at home.
Holly
which ipad app do you have? i searched for yoga download (i know that’s a website), but didn’t come up with anything. i really want to incorporate more yoga and that’s a great way to do it :)

My workout was this: http://www.howsweeteats.com/2011/06/i-like-cupcakes-circuit
I cried.
lindsay
now that is fun!!! I love the porch yoga, so peaceful. And how did the mt. biking go? no crashes lets hope!
Gina @ Running to the Kitchen
I love at home yoga. I actually like using our rug in the family room better than the yoga mat. It’s more comfy :)

awesome workout! I did an easy 3 miler with a running buddy in a local park today and plan to do another 2 or 3 tonight with the bf…trying to slowly ease my way into some 2 a days as I’m doing hood to coast on the nuun team in august!
Susan
Day of rest today – yay! Nice to have after running 2.5 (with a group, for the first time, which was awesome) + personal training (where I was all kinds of awesome).
Those pushup crawls look terrifying.
Brittany
The only yoga I can really stand is Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown. I’ve done the P90X yoga before and I couldn’t stand it. It’s a great way to stretch but I’m incredibly impatient. Jillians Yoga is quick, has me work up a sweat AND it helps me stretch. A definite winner.
dana @ my little celebration
My workout? It’s easier this way…

I’m actually going mountain biking for the weekend in Crested Butte–so excited!!!
Erica
My first and only mt. biking experience was in Crested Butte CO. Not really a place for an amature, but I was so proud of myself I bought some sticker that said ride crested butte…..and put it up at work. This was like 8 years ago, kind of lamesauce as I now think about it.
Long story short, have fun in CB.
Heather
Thanks! We usually do Moab every year but we decided to branch out a bit :) Maybe I’ll grab a sticker too!
Amanda
I’m done yoga through the on-demand exercise programs on my t.v.
I love how you were able to do your whole work-out outside on the deck today! :)
Jeana
The Nike Training Center app is pretty good and free. I like the abs workouts on it better than the Jillian Michaels 6-pack Abs video that I just bought.
Janae
I CAN’T WAIT TO TRY THE NIKE ABS WORKOUT…THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE RECOMMENDATION!
Alisa @ Runs with Knives
I did a way too hot, short run.
I prefer to do yoga at home. I can hold poses I need longer and can skip ones I don’t like. Plus, yoga tends to move gases down and out and I don’t mind letting one or five go when it’s just me and the dog.

Tell me what YOUR WORKOUT WAS!?!?!
-20 minutes on elliptical machine, 30 minutes on treadmill, 20 minutes cycling
Do you like to mountain bike?
-I’ve never been, but I do enjoy riding my bike.
Do you ever do yoga at home?
Occasionally, but I always feel foolish doing the poses. I need to get back into it!
Andrea (Run. Learn. Repeat.)
I did yoga at home this morning too. I’m trying to teach myself to like it, and I think I’m getting there. I need to try that yoga for runners. The one I did was Bob Harper’s weight loss yoga. I also got a pretty summer night’s 5 mile run in tonight. Hadn’t run since Monday so it was awesome. :)
Mac
My workout was playing 2 games of basketball in a 90 degree gym… I didn’t sweat at all, can you believe that ;)
Aine @ Something to Chew Over
I’m a big fan of yoga at home! I do mini sessions once or twice after work and then usually a long session on Sundays. It’s good to stretch! I always feel so much better afterwards :)
Yolie @ Practising Wellness
Your yoga on the deck this morning must have been heavenly – what a perfect place to practice!
I do yoga at home all the time :-) I rarely ever go to classes because I live so far away from any studios…but it just means when I do hit up a class it is extra special, and a wonderful treat! <3 It's really easy for me to be motivated with home practice because I love yoga with all my heart – like you do running! ;-) It also helps that I have such an amazing selection of Yoga dvds – just yesterday I reviewed the Yoga Meltdown on my blog – it was EPIC! :-D I think you do that one, right? Other faves are my Moksha yoga CDs, and Yoga For Athletes DVD. I just did that one a few minutes ago and it was gorgeous and delicious :-)
Mountain biking is the best! SO much fun but SO hard! I ache all over my body whenever I do it but there is nothing like the buzz and the exhaustion and the being immersed in nature – funness! I've only done it with my boyfriend, he's proper into it, and quite scary to ride with, lol! :-P
I was up super early reading blogs this morning too – a very productive way to pass the early hours, imho! ;-) Have a wonderful day! xyx
PS: You can get these really cool socks called yogitoes that you can practice in – they have grippy bobbles – and they might reduce the splinter risk, lol!
Yolie @ Practising Wellness
Yeeeesh, that was more a letter than a comment…sorry! xyx

Today was at home boot camp with some weights. My arms are so sore that I can barely move!

We would like to thank you yet again for the lovely ideas you offered Jesse when preparing a post-graduate research plus, most importantly, regarding providing the many ideas in a single blog post. Provided that we had known of your web-site a year ago, we’d have been kept from the unnecessary measures we were employing. Thank you very much.
