My last two runs were with Andrew. What a treat! One where he rode his bike with me and the other where he ran with me (we listen to Armchair Expert Anonymous when we are both running but chat when he is biking with me).

We got in a lot of swimming, and this guy prefers the goggles upside down.

Brooke and I went out for a little date, just the two of us. We never drive this little scooter far, but I am positive some of my favorite memories are on it.

We watched both games on Saturday, and I was very sad that Norway lost, but I’ll happily cheer for England now, too.

And on Sunday, we said our goodbyes to Brooke for a bit.

He squeezes so tightly that you don’t even need to hold him with your arms.

I’m going to miss this little gal. I’m very grateful for how well the stewardesses always take care of me on the flights. She is going to have the best time with her dad and I’m positive she will FaceTime me 12 times a day.

We ate some pretty fabulous things over the weekend. THIS butter chicken that my nieces made was incredible.

Skye asked for acai bowls, and I couldn’t say no… Also, Brooke taught me that they are even better with a bit of sweetened condensed milk (PS I always want to say sweet and condensed milk instead)

Please try this: Peaches cooked in the air fryer are a new favorite–> I cooked them in halves in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 375°, added some butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on top, and then cooked them for a few more minutes. HEAVEN.

Starting this thanks to a recommendation from Erika.

And listening to this with Andrew.

What are you reading or listening to?
Who are you rooting for in the World Cup?
When listening to a book, what speed do you prefer?
-I want 1.5, and Andrew wants 1, so we settle on 1.2;)
Chatting while running your thing or not so much?
Keep Readin’

I had a long run + bike combo yesterday. Why is it so good??
I’m currently reading Dolly All the Time.
I am rooting for Slovenia. 😉
I turned on AA this morning for the family secret episode. I love Dax and Miniature Mouse.I have 3 books going right now: at night I am reading Fourth Option by Jack Carr (on iPad), during the day The Hop (not sure of author) and listening to to The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett. All 3 are good.
I am bummed the Switzerland got beat. I am not sure who to cheer for now.
I don’t run with others. I go hiking or for walks my hubby, so we sometimes wear earbuds and occasionally chat while other times we talk the whole time.
Wishing Brooke a fun tripI missed soccer this weekend but plan on getting England play on Tuesday. Thank you for always giving me books to add to my already too long TBR list. LOL
I just read mad Mabel. I highly recommend it sad, funny and twisty all at the same time. I very dispute in my books depending on the narrator very rarely do I go 1.5 but usually 1.2 to 1.3Argentinaaaaaaaaaaa
I’m reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King. His books are not usually what I like, but this one is about time travel and I would describe it more as historial fiction. Love it so far. I’d love to see England win. Not a talker when I run, that’s my music time. 🙂
We were also very sad Norway lost. The world cup has been so fun.
Something In The Water is on my to read list, so you’ll have to let me know what you think.
We are big fans of butter chicken, so I am going to have to try that recipe.
If I am listening to a book or podcast, I need the speed to be at 1. I had accidentally changed it to 1.5 (not sure how I changed it) while listening to a podcast, and it sounded too frantic. Ha ha
Off for an easy run, then loads of house cleaning. But then my husband and I are going down to Laguna to see The Pagent of the Masters. We’ve never been, so it should be fun.
Have a great day JanaeFinished “Yesteryear” last week and I think you’d enjoy it. Definitely some Ballerina Farm influence 😉 Currently reading “Water Finds a Way” and really liking it.
I wish I was better at chatting during runs, but I’m usually just trying to get through the run and feel bad I can’t keep up with convo as well– that’s what my walks with friends are for! 🙂
Have a great start to your week!
I just finished reading Broken Country and loved it. When I run solo I’m listening to podcasts at 1.0 speed – my brain doesn’t work fast enough to do any more than that! And always chatting when I run with friends, how else would we solve all the worlds problems?? Have a great week, Brooke will be home before you know it!
This was an enjoyable read and I appreciate the simple explanation provided here. The click counter is a helpful tool for counting clicks, practicing different clicking styles, and enjoying online challenges. It is suitable for users who want a quick and easy way to track their clicking progress.
Great breakdown of your training setup — the contrast between biking and running companionship really shows how versatile your routine is! The upside-down goggles detail is hilarious, but hey, if it works for swimming sessions, who am I to judge? Also, Andrew choosing the backwards goggle life says a lot about his commitment to comfort over convention. Keep up the amazing content! travel statistics
