What we did, saw, and ate in California!

As a family, before our trip, we decided not to go to Disneyland and wanted to focus our time at the beach. We thought the crowds would be out of control at Disneyland, so we figured we could skip it this time. Then we got to Grammy’s (Brooke’s grandma) house and remembered how close we were to Disneyland, how much Grammy adores Disneyland, and how fun she is to go with… and we HAD to go.

We are so glad we ended up going because it was such a memorable day with them and the lines weren’t bad at all! I wish everyone got the chance to go to Disneyland with them… they are a blast.

It was Beck’s first time (he was too young to remember his other times there), which made it so special, too.

We had some perfect weather, and we are finally at the stage where everyone is tall enough for each ride.

We didn’t need a stroller, and I also didn’t have to carry a bag all day… just lip gloss in my jeans’ pocket.

We ate.

And ate…

Ate some more.

And snacked in any lines we did have to stand in…

Grammy and Papa took us to some of their favorites that we had never tried.

And at about 6 pm, I couldn’t fit one more thing in my stomach.

Beck’s prayers were answered on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. After the first smaller drop, he changed his mind about the ride and was not interested in the bigger drop… Just as we were about to go up for the big drop, the ride broke, and they had to come get us off. We did not try it again. Beck was very relieved.

He walked all day (20,000 steps for me, which means 60,000 steps for him!) except for one quick power nap in line for Indiana Jones.

We were there from opening to close (8 am- 11 pm) and woke up so incredibly tired the next day. But we made our way to the beach on Saturday and recovered at Big Corona Beach.

Beck pounced on Seagulls all day long.

And then Newport on Sunday.

We are headed home today… Here’s to 9.5 hours in the car. Worth it for all the fun we just had.
