Tangents, final product, Dream Trip.

8.6 miles in the canyon, and we stopped every .3 miles to check in on our friends racing Boston. I’m pretty sure Boston took up 95% of my thoughts yesterday.
I spy a new pump track going in:

Back and chest day on the CGX app.

I got Beck out of school a few minutes early and surprised him with some tickets to the Mario Movie. My goal this week is to take each kid on a one-on-one date. I always make the kids share things when we go out to things, so to have his own slushee and popcorn felt like a very big deal for him;)

We had the entire theater to ourselves, and he still sat on my lap the entire time. It was the best.

Knox wanted a buzz cut and cheetah print hair… Curly delivered. She also did it for his best friends!

The finished product:

Let’s get into the tangents for the day:
*Emilee ran a course record by 5 minutes @ 41! She is something else. I am blown away by my friends.
*My kids were very confused why school wasn’t canceled for them to be able to watch the entire Boston Marathon.
*It was SO fun to see our friend Kodi in the front for the first 18 miles. Skye kept saying, “Kodi’s still winning the race right now!” Kodi had a 5-minute PR and finished in 2:24.

*We decided to make pancake tacos the other day. They were delicious. Nutella or Biscoff was the base of each of them. So good BUT they were so sweet that we…

*Had to make and eat a salad afterward because we were on a sugar high that needed taming.

*My niece taught me that if you have any leaves touching the water in your vase, it kills your flowers faster. These flowers are lasting forever with this new trick!

*It’s frozen grapes snacking season.

*My parents just got back from the most magical trip to England… My mom has wanted to go there for years (decades!). She is writing a full recap of their tip for the blog. I’m going to miss all of the stunning photos she sent while knowing she was living out her dream.

*We wanted burgers, didn’t have buns, I didn’t want to go to the store, and so I decided to make my own. We will NEVER eat any other buns than these now. They elevated the burger so much. They were very easy to make, too.

Awww, the one on one time with Beck melts my heart! That’s a great goal for the week!
Oh funny, our high school football team did that to their hair when they made it to State—some mom’s weren’t too happy about their Thanksgiving family photos, haha.
I would love to go to Ireland or Croatia.
Have a wonderful Tuesday Janae!

Hahah I love that! Haha but what fun memories included in the Thanksgiving family photos;). Becky. You much go to Croatia! YOU MUST! Thanks friend, you too!
We went on a dream trip last year to Austria, Germany and Switzerland, it was amazing. Every day felt like we were in a storybook. I can’t wait to go back. Iceland and Ireland/Scotland are also on the list.
Our entire wrestling program from elementary to high school bleach their hair every year for the state tournament.
Wasn’t Boston amazing!! Our US athletes did so amazing! And watching Des run with the masses was a treat!

Mindy, oh that does sound so dreamy. I am so so happy you were able to do that! Ohhhhh those ones are also on my list. How fun that they do that for state, Knox would fit right in. She is such a party. I adore her and her love for the sport is so contagious!
I have so many bucket trip: hiking the Dolomites or Mount Blanc or cruise in the Fjords in Norway/Sweden or hiking the Highlands of Scotland.
I have never done anything wild with my hair. I have a hair appointment today, I stopped coloring and highlighting it in 2019. I love the money I am saving but I miss seeing my stylist every 5 weeks. I think that the craziest thing that my kids have done is cut their own hair as little kids.
I would love to go volunteer at the Boston Marathon.
Well, I need to come on those hikes with you. I cannot even imagine how incredible. Happy hair day today! A fresh cut feels so nice! We should all go volunteer one day. Hope your day is a great one so far, Heidi!
Aw, so happy for your mom, and can’t wait to read her recap! My dream trip would be a road trip in an RV to hit up all the National Parks we haven’t been to yet. Also, I love the idea of a date with each kid; those memories will be such special ones when they get older. No to Biscoff and Nutella- they are both too sweet, and other than fruit, I am a savory breakfast person. Happy Tuesday, Janae!

EMILY! When are you going to do that trip in the RV? That would be a blast! I hope you get all of the savory breakfasts and I’ll take on any sweet breakfasts that you do not want;). Have a beautiful day, Emily!
Dream trip is New Zealand for sure.
Biscoff all the way!!
No drastic hair for me but the boys did that last year around the 8th grade year here. It was hysterical, then they buzzed and did fuschia dye.
Did not run Boston but had all the FOMO!!

That is ours, too! Ohhhhhh he might have to do fuschia next! I bet that was so fun for them:). I hope you get some Biscoff soon and that we all get to go to New Zealand. Have a fabulous day, Valene!
Jess McClain!! I teared up for her finish.
Love your Beck date!! I’m sure he loved every second of it.
England!!! I want to hear every detail!
Dream vacation is all of Europe. I will allow you to join me! Ha
2:20!!! I adore her and can’t wait to see her continue forward. You are getting a part of that dream very soon:). My mom had the time of her life, she can’t wait to share! Have the best day, Molly!
Your niece is amazingly talented! In everything she does!
I am dying to go to Europe. We’ve never been, so any country is on our bucket list.
I’m always so inspired by the Boston Marathon. I love watching the finish line, it fills me with so much love, inspiration , and hope.
Can’t wait to read your mom’s recap ????
Have a great day Janae
I am taking an apprenticeship with her… She does it all;). I swear it’s the most inspiring day of the year for us all. So beautiful. Thanks Wendy, you too!
No Boston for me yesterday because I did a 50 mile ultra over the weekend 🙂 I was the first female, and the weather was completely insane. We have a saying where I live — “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes and it will change.” Race started at 80 degrees, then it got very windy and rainy, and by the end, it was snowing! Thanks, Mother Nature!
Watching Boston was almost as much fun as running it, I have to say. What a race! I was so inspired by all the ladies (and men). Those fast times are crazy. And Des! A week after MDS! AMAZING!

Stacey. FIRST WOMAN AT YOUR ULTRA?! And it started in 80° and finished with snow?! What an adventure! You inspire me so very much. Okay, I didn’t even look at Des time until I saw your comment…. 2:35?! Have a beautiful day and a happy recovery week!
Kodi is amazing-I was thinking “I bet Janae is going bonkers in excitement.” Because I live in Europe, I had to watch it on Eurovision, which had amazing coverage, but they did not say Kodi’s name nearly enough. British commentators can be brutal sometimes, but at least it was in English and not German.
I can’t wait for you mom’s recap of their trip!! That is so exciting!!!
Curly did an amazing job with Knox’s hair. Impressive!!

Ummm you are the best to think that when you saw Kodi, you were right! BONKERS! Booo to them not saying her name enough! Right?! That girl does it ALL! Thanks Kelly, she can’t wait to tell you all about it. Hope you are having a beautiful day!
My friend ran Boston yesterday and she’s 13 weeks pregnant. I had fun following her on the app while I was at work.
I love the idea of pancake tacos. I need to try that.
Tell your friend she is GOALS! WOW! Let me know what you think of the pancake tacos!
I’m in South Africa (Cape Town). Our BIG race of the year is The Two Oceans. It consists of a half marathon and an ultra-marathon (56kms / 34.8miles). Our top lady runner, Gerda Steyn, just won for the 7th time with a time of 03:27:43, which works out to about 3min 42 per kilometer. She’s an absolute machine.
Glad I came across this article. I ended up checking out Img2Gen while digging into Daily free generations plus credit-based low, and the angle on credit workflows is especially interesting. Appreciate you sharing it.
Thanks for sharing this. Gemini Watermark Remover came up for me recently while I was researching high-fidelity restoration, and it looks genuinely useful. Appreciate you sharing it.
This was a useful read. Lately I’ve seen more people ask about Editorial guardrails that exclude medical, and TrendBriefs looks like a helpful place to start. Glad to have found this.
This was a useful read. I’ve been comparing a few options around processado somente no navegador, and the Meu Arcano Pessoal site feels more focused than most. Thanks for the thoughtful post.
