The Best Text Ever

Yes, a little dramatic but seriously this text made me overly happy from the hours of 10:57 a.m. until now.

(It’s from Billy just in case you were wondering)

Screen Shot 2012 01 12 at 7 47 06 PM

Now you have proof that I not only use too many !!!!s and ???s just on my blog but also in real life.

Why do we go out to Outback at least once a month?  My family (my mom and grandma) absolutely love to give people Outback gift cards and we are the lucky ones that benefit from their generosity and get to enjoy a free date night together

Rewind to after school.  I sat on the couch and hung out for a while and then randomly had the great idea to run 4 miles on the treadmill.  Good strategy when going out to a steak house, I was extra hungry.

Photo copy 2

I always start with the salad with the tangy tomato dressing.   To repay Billy for asking me out I did give him one crouton, those things are gold to me.

Anyone know what type of bread they serve?  We couldn’t figure it out but we do know it is our favorite especially with honey butter on it.

Photo copy 3

Billy always orders the bacon burger and I always get steak.  Last night all I wanted was a big burger and so I switched things up a little bit and had what he usually orders.

Photo copyForgive the lame phone pictures, our server was a girl that I went to high school with and I felt a little awkward whipping out a huge camera to take pictures of my food.  Yet, I wasn’t embarrassed enough to not take pictures of myself posing with food.

Photo copy 4

It hit the spot.  Two slices of cheese is always better than one.

Guess which plate is mine?  Let’s just say I do have to pack a lunch tomorrow and Billy does not.

Photo

Even the ketchup bowl was clean.

Are you going anywhere fun for dinner this weekend?  Making anything special?

-We decided we will be making cupcakes but we can’t decide between cocunut or snickerdoodle.

Bloggers:  Who knows about your blog?  Anyone you don’t want to read your blog?

-I don’t think a lot of people from high school know about my blog and my students don’t either.  All of my family and close friends do!

Do you eat burgers?  What is your favorite type of burger…..chicken/veggie/pulled pork/beef with toppings?

-I usually only eat homemade burgers and get chicken or veggie burgers when I am going out but ever since yesterday’s post and people mentioning eating a burger each week to help get in their iron, it was all I could think about.

We are going out to dinner tomorrow night (pending babysitter!) and am sooo excited not to have to plan a meal or cook, for one night!
I just started blogging, so I don’t think too many people know about it.
That burger you ate looks sooo good! One of my faves is actually from Red Robin, this guac/bacon/turkey burger – gourmet;-)

Reply

I am so happy you get to go on a date tomorrow wahoo!! Oh wow…Red Robin is AMAZING, no you have me craving that restaurant. Their fries=heaven!

Reply

SNICKERDOODLE. Just my vote.
We have a hockey game tomorrow night (Hurricanes v Bruins) and will eat dinner there. There is a great BBQ Pork place right near our seats.
I don’t really care who reads it. I haven’t done a great job of advertising it so I am not really sure how people even find it.
Definitely a turkey burger with guacamole. And bacon. YUM!

We are staying in this weekend as a part of budget 2012! We’ll find something yummy to eat at home though :)

Lots of people that I know are aware of my blog and a few even read it! Not my mom though….weird right??

I like the California chicken or veggie burger at Milestones: guac and salsa for the win!!

Reply

Good for you guys to save money! I have never been to Milestones but a burger with guac and salsa sounds amazing!

Reply

I’m going for lunch with the madre on Sunday and after seeing this post I know where I wanna go…to this place where they make the BEST salmon burger I’ve ever had…I need a burger in me asap! Best toppings are definitely Ketchup, guacamole, and caramelised onions…oh boy!

Although I’m very open about my blog, I still find it a bit weird to photograph food depending on who I am with! Sometimes explaining about the blog is just not worth effort or confused looks!

My BF and I were thinking about Ruby Tuesdays for dinner tonight. But now you have me craving Outback and their yummy bread! Thanks! :)

A few close friends and my BF read my blog. I am sure my family knows about the blog, they just don’t know there address. Ohh… My creative writing class also knows. I mentioned it on a survey the professor had us fill out on the first day, but didn’t give my blog name or address. Then he called me out in class to ask all about blogging. Opps. Haha

Reply

I always ask for the honey butter! I wonder why they dont advertise it.

Reply

I know right?!?! I could eat straight from the little honey butter cup!

Reply

1)Catching dinner and a college b’ball game this weekend.
2) No family member, work member, my x or kids know about my blog and I want to keep it that way :)
3) I rarely eat burgers, not that I don’t like them..just when I go to restaurants..etc..I like to try different things.
Have a great weekend!!!!

I have a short list of people who read my blog, including my boyfriend, dad and best friend… that’s enough for me!

I am a veggie burger fiend. Black bean burgers have iron too (not as much as beef, I know… makes me a sad, anemic vegetarian!). I’ve learned to make them pretty well, but I love Morningstar farms ones, which they sell at Costco. They are delicious!

Reply

I love outback! I don’t try and hide my blog from anyone per say but i don’t go out of my way to share it. If it comes up it does but I feel awkward talking to my high school friends let alone letting them read my daily musings.

Reply

Thanks to one of your recent posts that had taco pictures, I’ve been craving tacos ever since, so that’s what’s for dinner tonight! I won’t even hold it against you because my love for tacos knows no bounds! :)

Because my blog started as a result of wanting to share my journey training for Nike and fundraising for LLS at the same time, I gave out my address to everyone I knew – friends, family, coworkers, semi-strangers! It seemed like a good idea at the time! Good thing I have a high embarrassment threshold!!

I love burgers that have chopped bacon mixed into the meat and then have a thick slice of cheddar on top… Mmmm… Okay, now I’m craving TWO things! :)

Reply

We are spur of the moment, so I sure we will head out for food, just don’t know where. I was thinking about making pumpkin chip muffin, have a craving for them.
Love a good burger, especially after a long run. At home I usually make spicy chicken burgers.

Reply

You are so right about burgers tasting amazing after a long run. You might have to send me your spicy chicken burger recipe:) MAKE THE MUFFINS!

Reply

Those pictures are making me so hungry for burgers! Too bad I’ve gone back to being vegetarian recently…

I’m not really particular about anyone who reads my blog. Most people at work don’t know about it though, which is probably a good thing. They’d think “wow does she think about running all the time? wierdo.”

I love veggie burgers, but not the fake meat kind. I like to see the veggies in them!

Reply

Love salmon burgers, but any kind is good with me :)

Reply

Omg, the bread and butter at Outback is AMAZING! I’m so jealous. We’re actually going to Red Lobster with friends tomorrow night. Bring on the cheesy rolls!!

Pretty much everyone I know knows about my blog. That’s really not always the best.

Reply

I’m so glad Outback makes you as happy as it makes me. the bread.. the salads.. the steak. ugh! and have you tried the queensland salad? djau;akagrsl.

I don’t love the idea of my ex reading my blog.. that’s the only downside. us girls with blogs are too stalkable. ;)

Reply

I’ve always wondered if your students knew about your blog!! I link my facebook to my blog, so all my facebook friends/family know. Some work people know, but not everyone.

Reply

I think that Outback’s bread is called honey wheat bushman bread. You can find all sorts of copycat recipes if you google it!

Reply

THANKS SO MUCH JUDY!! We could not figure it out, off to go google the recipe so that I can make it at home. Have a great day!

Reply

You’re welcome! Make sure and let us know if you decide to make it :-)

Reply

In case you didn’t find it yet, apparently this link has the recipe. Looks easy! I’ll be trying this one soon!!!

i love the bread and butter from the outback! and oh my gosh the bloomin’ onion is amazing!! and about a million calories!! My family knows about my blog.. they’re probably the only people that actually read it.. I sometimes post posts to Facebook but I’m pretty sure no one actually reads it – i think that was my biggest insecurity was putting it out there and thinking about people from high school looking at it and like judging me… but i did and no one has said anything yet! my dad makes really good burgers – simple – onions, salt, pepper and some slap yo mama seasoning – gives it a kick!!

Reply

I worked for Outback for 5 years, I ate the bread (honey wheat, by the way) almost every day and I still crave it. It never gets old!! I am also obsessed with the croutons–they make those everyday, so much garlic yummy-ness!

Reply

We are going out to eat tonight because we both had crappy days yesterday (but I already had an awesome meal planned for dinner :)). AND we are going out Monday too, to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary, YAYYY!
I don’t have a blog, but really want to start one up. Not sure where to even begin! But I would imagine I would try to keep it hidden away from co-workers at least :)
Favorite burger is black bean, all the way…homemade is the best! BUT, your burger is seriously making my mouth water, it looks so good!

Reply

My family and friends know about my blog, as does a large number of people that are in the same line of work as my husband, which has people all over the world, (most of them have blogs too). It’s a fun way for me to get to know people who live the same crazy lifestyle that I do, and to make mental notes about what countries I’d like to live in next.

I love burgers! I’m coming back to the states in a week and have a long list of places I need to eat. Many of them are burger places (Crown Burger, Training Table, Five Guys, McDonalds…) and I can’t wait!

Reply

I also went to Outback last night! It was deeeeelicious. :)

Reply

This weekend I have a wine tasting and huge Hibachi dinner for a friend’s birthday…but not until tomorrow……. Seems so far away!

I usually have turkey burgers…this justifies the addition of fries! My FAVORITE is topped with Brie and mushrooms yum!

I get that excited about dinner dates as well plus in addition to!!!!!!! I use to o many :) :) :) :) !

Reply

yum! looks like a delicious dinner! i love bbq bacon cheeseburgers – definitely my fav. i’m hoping to convince cody that we need to go on a dinner date this weekend too! i was thinking either olive garden or texas roadhouse – a couple of our top favorites.

have a super friday pretty lady! ;)

Everyone who I’m friends with on Facebook & Twitter knows about my blog, I know some read it. My family knows all about it as do my coworkers.

Reply

We are going to a NHL game tonight, and even are in a suite, so I am sure there will be lots of food there! But in case not I packed pb&j’s for the road :)
My close friends and family do, oh and coworkers, beyond that I am not sure who knows about it!
I eat veggie burger I make at home usually, and sometimes I make turkey burgers too.

Reply

I have to close at work for the next 3 nights, so that means no time to spend with Bud. So he has made a breakfast date with me for Sunday. I just have to come up with a place to eat! We hardly ever have breakfast together, so I am stupidly excited to have eggs and spend time with my sweetie.

Reply

Mmmmmmm Outback is amazing!

My BF knows about it obviously but not really anyone in my family or friends for the most part. A couple not many! Weirdly enough a lot of my co-workers know about it because of Twitter. I wasn’t necessarily okay with it at first, and still sometimes have concerns about it but ultimately what I write on the internet is available for all to see and a quick google of my name finds it so that’s all you can do! I’m proud of it and some have complimented me on it so I guess I shouldn’t be as embarrassed as I am sometimes!

Reply

I am hoping for a dinner date tonight to Sakura, our local sushi place. We have a gift card!!! I am also super excited because tomorrow night we are having family dinner with Daniel’s family. His brother has been in Kenya for SEVEN WEEKS on medical missions and is coming home today, and we missed the Christmas dinner because we were in Mexico, so I am PUMPED to see everyone!

I’m not exactly sure who all knows about my blog – not many people. Mainly close family and some of my workout friends.

Daniel makes these homemade burgers with beef, bacon (IN the burger mix), and sausage. He adds in onions, jalapenos, and pineapple to the mix too. They are SO SO SO good. Oh, and he puts the cheese in the middle and lets it cook through. Delicious – and now I’m craving one!

Reply

I had to ask one of the partners of my firm permission when I was putting ads on my blog, and so of course he read it and now he loves it and always talks about it. He has basically told everyone at work that I have a blog and that it’s cool, so now they are all reading it. So much for keeping it from them… womp womp.

Reply

I love burgers!! Whenever I’m pregnant, I especially crave them. Just talking about it makes me want to eat one for breakfast.

Reply

I love the outback! I don’t go that often because I am trying to cook more but it is a great place!
I love blogging, it is my space to say what I want and how I feel, but I agree with you, I get a little self-conscious when I whip out my camera at a restaurant. I feel like people outside of the blogging world, do not understand blogging, so I am still trying to get comfortable with telling people I write a blog. I need to get over it! HA

Reply

I love a big ole turkey burger with carmalized onions and some sauteed mushrooms. Yum, I want it right now even though it’s only 8:30 am…is that so wrong?

Reply

My brother is the Marketing Manager for Outback Steakhouse, him and his fam get 50% off at all OSI restaurants… thank goodness he lives in another state!

Reply

i love outback..hahaha, that butter and bread is too good, i could eat 100 loaves of it.

not going anywhere special for dinner this weekend..BUT i am having my family over to watch football tomorrow and i’m making alot of food, so im excited. food + family = happyface.

my friends and some of my family know about my blog…it doesnt really matter to me who reads it though.

i dont eat alot of burgers until the summer..then we BBQ all the time. i really love turkey burgers and black bean burgers…but if i get a craving for a real burger, nothing beats red robin. YUMMMM.

have a fabulous friday girl!!

Reply

After those pictures I want a burger RIGHT NOW! haha It’s not even 10am… don’t worry about it…
Not that many people know about my blog and that’s just fine with me :) Friends and family read it mostly
Happy Friday Janae!

Reply

I keep fInding out that a lot more people that I know read my blog than I thought! I don’t think there’s anyone I wouldn’t want to read it, even some family members say they like it because they feel they know me even better now!

Reply

That is awesome Katie! My mom doesn’t call me as much as she used to because she feels like she already talks to me a few times a day now ha! Have an amazing weekend!

Reply

How do you eat so great and stay sooooo tiny?!?!? Wow, I guess I need to run more! lol

Reply

Ha! Running definitely helps but I am moving all day long…I taught spin at 6 a.m. followed by teaching PE and high school all day followed by a run:) Have a great weekend Candice!

Reply

everyone knows about my blog-except readers!! LOL.
I love burgers. Not as much when I am not carrying around a fetus, but I do like them. When I am preggers, I could eat one a day.
Blue cheese and mustard. Oh yes.

Reply

WHATEVER! So many people read your blog! ‘When you are not carrying around a fetus’….seriously, you are the funniest person ever!

Reply

I love homemade burgers on the grill!
And since my blog is fairly new, not a lot of people in my personal life know about it, which I think is weird and will change soon. My family knows of course (well probably not my 10,000 cousins) and a few of my best friends.
And I love outback too! We are going to test out this new little “tavern” and grille type restaurant this weekend that just opened this week in our neighborhood.

Reply

This weekend (this evening in fact!) I have close friends coming up so Im really excited about that! We are going on a girly night out then on Sunday N and I are making dinner together.

A couple of the (above mentioned) close friends know I do but no one else and they dont read it cause they arent runners! I like my semi anonymity!

OOH cheeseburgers with peppercorn sauce. Theres this amazing burger joint in Glasgow where I live called Ketchup that has about 27 varieties but the pink peppercorn is my favourite!

Reply

Fiona, can I come visit you and we can go to Ketchup together? Have a blast with your close friend this weekend, that is awesome!

Reply

I haven’t been to Outback in years, but that is so cute that B texted you for a dinner date! So adorable!

We are staying in for meals this weekend but we are going to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D tonight!

Family and friends read my blog–sometimes I feel weird about what I post but then I’m like, who cares…

I don’t like red meat so my burgers are usually chicken, turkey, veggie, or tuna! I love grilled pineapple on them! So good!

Reply

I have only told two friends about my blog, and none of my family know to my knowledge. Howeve I have met one blogger and I consider her a friend…so 3 friends know?

Reply

My hubs just sent me a similar text asking if I wanted outback tonight!! Yay!!! I only get the Queensland salad there (extra tangy tomato dressing, but no cheese or bacon!!). I’m not a burger girl…. Prob haven’t had one since elementary school…
I’m not a blogger, either. I have 2 full time jobs and read blogs leisurely. I also teach WAY too many ppl (high school, college, and aerobics at 5 diff gyms around town). Word would spread fast if ppl knew I had a blog and I really don’t want alot of those ppl to know so much info about me…

Reply

WOW!!! Yeah, there are probably just a few too many people around that you teach….I wouldn’t blog either ha. AHHH Have so much fun at Outback tonight and enjoy your Queensland salad, I am going to have to try that.

Reply

I am probably way more excited about this than I should be, but we’re headed to this restaurant in Chapel Hill, NC, that was featured on Man vs. Food a while back. It’s called Time Out Restaurant and they serve good old Southern food. I will probably leave with heart disease, but I won’t let that dampen my spirits!

Reply

I am so jealous! You are going to have a blast and I want to hear all about it…we LOVE going to restaurants that Man vs. Food has gone to!

Reply

I love how you gave him one crouton hahaah :D
I am in the mood to make something but I don’t know what I should make!!
Only my close family knew about it for a while but then I told my friends. I’m not sure if all of my acquaintances know about it though.
I don’t eat burgers all that often but if it’s being made for me I’ll eat it. I usually prefer chicken and stuff.

Reply

that looks so yum Janae! I also over use punctuation. One time Colin read aloud one of my emails to him (speaking properly according the the exclamation marks) and it sounded ridiculous! lol I love it though!!! :D

I wish we had an outback.

I will be taking Colin out for dinner on MOnday – his birthday!

Reply

I think you should go with coconut for sure!!!! I’m not making much this weekend. I decided to take the weekend off from cooking and baking because I have a double ear infection with both ear drums ruptured. My family and friends read my blog. My blog is open to anyone. I love a bacon mushroom swiss burger. My favorite!

YUM! Love your blog!!! xo

There are no major plans for this weekend, as there are no restaurants or movie theaters on our little island. Our BIG plans are to start watching an old season of Survivor on DVD and have a lazy day – after a 10 mile run =)

At first I was embarassed to share my blog with non family members. Then I got up the nerve to start posting it on Facebook. That was tough because I have a lot of sarcastic friends, and even though we tease each other, the blog was a more sensitive thing. But now, I want to get my blog out there more. Still a little scary.

Reply

Don’t be scared….your blog is AWESOME and I think everyone should read it!

Reply

Oh thank you so much! I’m totally blushing!

Reply

Dur. Make the snickerdoodle cupcakes with coconut on top. Best of both worlds!

And you are brilliant. Thank you thank you thank you.

Very few real-life people know about my blog. :)

Girl, I love that bread too! Apparently, it’s “bushman” bread, and there are lots of recipes floating around. I’m thinking of trying this one:

Also, I may show my husband this post as a not-so-subtle hint… ;)

AHHH Thank you so so much for the link, I can’t wait to make it! I hope you get to go on an Outback date tonight!

I use a lot of ?? and !! too and when my husband tries to type as me, he has to remember to add in a lot of those things so the person on the other end doesn’t know it’s not me, lol.

We might go out for a date this weekend. Will probably just wing it.
I love burgers too and those look really good so that might have to be our choice!

Most people at work don’t know about my blog and there is a particular ex of my hubs that I would prefer not know about it, but not much I can do about that. ;-)

How do you keep it from your students?! I’m surprised no one has discovered it by now? You are so popular ;)

Reply

I used to blog about food, but I haven’t in over a year. Thinking about starting it again but to incorporate running and other things too! Not many people knew about my blog — maybe a couple of friends and family members.

I’m not a big-time burger eater, but when I do eat them, lamb and turkey burgers are my favorite!

There is a new burger place in the town where my boyfriend lives called Stuffed Burger. All the toppings are INSIDE the burger. I can’t wait to try it!

And now I am hungry. Off to Subway!

Reply

Your update just made me hungry!

None of my family or close friends knows about my blog. I don’t know why I’m not comfortable sharing it with them but I like that they don’t know.

Back in my meat-eating days I loved Outback. I was a steak girl.

Now I eat veggie burgers, and ALWAYS with avocado.

I don’t think my family or real life friends read my blog hardly at all. Sometimes they forget I even have one. :)

I’m going on a date night tonight too! Out for meditteranean – my latest obsession.

The bread is honey wheat.

Thanks so much Tracy!

I love love love burgers. My favorite is a mushroom burger, but I also love this kind at Red Robin called the Bonzai Burger. It has teriyaki sauce and a slice of pineapple on it. So good!

Confession: I have never eaten at Outback. Who am I? You and Billy may have to invite me on your next date. ha ha!

The food sounds amazing and it sounds like you had a fabulous night. :)

ketchup is HEAVEN! I always feel like they never give me enough when I go out to eat because I can scarff that stuff down. I’ll just take the whole bottle thanks people :) hahah.

Reply

I KNOW!! They never give enough, I had to steal Billy’s cup of it too because mine was not enough. I want the bottle. We should start a petition.

Reply

I love Outback bread! When I was in college my brother and I would go put for Outback together once a week because my parents would pay if we did things like that together.

Reply

That burger and baked potato look soo so good! Love the chop salad from Outback.

No one knows about my blog (it’s very new). Well, last night Frank was looking at my screen and was like Simply Kristi?? But I don’t think he thought too much into it, or enough to look it up online.

I just want to say that I love the fact that you eat! I wish I had your metabolism. Maybe if I step up my running, I can eat more without blowing up like a balloon?

Thanks Jamie, it is one of my favorite things to do:) I am sure you won’t blow up like a balloon if you ate a burger though:) Have an amazing weekend!

We don’t have any plans to go out this weekend, but usually cook good stuff on the weekends. My 6 year old daughter is having a friend over for her first sleepover tomorrow night and wants homemade pizza and Smore Bars so I’m going to make those. I need to come up with a good idea for Sunday night’s dinner too.

I usually eat chicken or turkey burgers, but will have a real burger once in a while.

I don’t have a blog, but think I am going to start one as I start marathon training next month.

Reply

START ONE!! We can be blog friends! Have so much fun with the sleepover party and I think I might come over for the homemade pizza and Smore Bars!

Reply

I love homemade chicken burgers .. drool .. I would make one but I had two wisdom teeth out yesterday so it’s over cooked noodles and soups for the next few days lol! I know this is so random but you are just so cute! lol not in like a lesbian tendency type of way, but you’re just so adorable lol!

No one knows about my blog, I should probably share, maybe it would keep me on track better but right now it’s simply something for myself.

Reply

YUM I love Outback!!! especially their brown bread…though I have no idea whats in it/how they make it haha. and omg that burger looks amazing. I am stotally craving a burger right now!! I hate fast food burgers but usually locally owned restaurants or brewpubs make good ones with fun/creative toppings (smoked gouda cheese + avocado + tomato wooo….or swiss cheese + mushrooms) so I’m totally all over those!

Reply

Are you going anywhere fun for dinner this weekend? Making anything special?

-We decided we will be making cupcakes but we can’t decide between cocunut or snickerdoodle.

Back up, back up – before I get to the questions – baked potato with your burger? Baked potato??? Over fries? I don’t know about this, I may have to stop reading your blog because of this transgression.

Bloggers: Who knows about your blog? Anyone you don’t want to read your blog?

-I keep my blog on the down low, mostly because I feel like I’m not saying anything hugely interesting. I tell people verbally sometimes and have sent the url occasionally, but I don’t put it in my sig or anything.

Do you eat burgers? What is your favorite type of burger…..chicken/veggie/pulled pork/beef with toppings?

— When I want a burger I want a burger. I don’t have a standard topping set, I go with the ones that hit me right for that day. There’s a restaurant near me that I’ve had a cajun burger with bleu cheese that I like enough to repeat. Always fries on the side, extra happy if they have sweet potato fries.

Reply

HA!!! I really love baked potatoes and the cheese and bacon bits that they give you with it. I know that sounds crazy but I am a baked potato girl! Um…that cajun burger with bleu cheese sounds incredible!

Reply

I think I’m going to make some homemade soft pretzels this weekend. That idea just popped in my head. My boyfriend’s mom gave me a mix and they sound yummy right now!
I just recently started my blog so I’ve been embarrassed to tell my parents about it, but my sister, boyfriend, and two close friends know! I plan on telling my parents soon – hopefully they like it!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Reply

Most of my family and friends don’t know about my blog. I don’t care who reads it, but sometimes I do rant about some of them, lol.

Reply

Umm confession: Outback’s Bloomin’ Onions are my absolute fave. I once read that they have like over 2000 calories but I don’t care. I love them. I will go after I do a long run so I don’t feel so bad about how crappy they are for you.

Not going anywhere fun for dinner but I’m off to St. John USVI for some fun in the sun tomorrow!!!!!!! :-)

Reply

My friend used to work at outback and he said it was rye bread. It doesn’t taste like rye to me though!

Reply

That is what Billy thought it was too and I didn’t hmmmmm! Thanks for the info! Have a great weekend Kristen!

Reply

I didn’t know they had honey butter there! The bread is pumpernickel though I am pretty sure. I loooove it :)

Yay for dinner dates! I haven’t been to the Outback in a long time but have a dinner date (an actual date for me is so crazy!) on Sunday and we’re going to this fabulous italian restaurant. Small, cute & quaint.

None of my friends really know about my blog and I intend to keep it that way until I’m done with school. I’m not quite sure why… I just like it better this way!

I really like BOCA burgers, black bean burgers and chicken or turkey burgers. Don’t get me wrong though sometimes I really just love a juicy, beef burger ;)

Reply

I’ve just discovered your blog today and I love it! :)

I’ll probably go to dinner on Sunday… not sure where yet, but the bf always takes me on a dinner date on Sundays. :)

Many of my friends and family know about my blog… the only person I really don’t want to know about it is a past roommate. She’s literally kinda crazy and stalks me at every moment she gets. It’s really scary. :/

I don’t eat burgers often, but I’ve also decided to try to eat one each week. I only eat organic meat products though, so I’ll make it at home. :)

And I think the bread at Outback is some kind of rye?? Who knows but it’s DELISH!!!

I’ve never eaten at Outback (don’t hate me! I actually haven’t been to a lot of major chains).

No one in my life knows about my blog – but than again I haven’t advertised it yet and am still just starting off / haven’t been able to put too much time into it.

Frozen veggie burgers are like one of the few things I “cook” for dinner.

I love dinner dates! My Billy is feeling under the weather so our plans aren’t solid right now. I’m OK hanging with him on the couch! :)

I definitely have to be making something delicious for my awesome neighbors who saved me from being stuck in the snow (in my car of course) this morning!

I LOVE veggie burgers…more than regular ones, which surprises me. I’m constantly on the look out for the best one from a restaurant. However, I get really mad when you can tell it’s just a plain old frozen patty.

Almost NOBODY knows about my blog! One friend, my sister, and my husband–and I had been blogging for months before my husband knew about it! I was embarrassed he would think it was stupid. And he does. lol I’ve thought about shutting down the blog and starting a new one COMPLETELY anonymously. Now that so many readers know who I am, where I live, what I do… I feel like I have to censor myself too much sometimes. I don’t wanna be google-able, ya know?

Unfortunately I have to work the weekend, but I love going on dinner (sometimes breakfast at lunch) dates with my husband.

The hubs and my best friends from back home know about my blog, but that’s about it. I would love to meet more bloggers/runners in this rainy Washington state.

I love a good beef burger, but ground turkey burgers are just as delicious! They’re super delicious when drowned in seasonings and a few liquid sauces :)

Idk if someone answered already but outback serves honey wheat rolled in molasses. I was a classroom training and my husband was a proprietor so one thing we know is outback! Also, thanks for all of the running blogs! I love them!!

WHAT!?!?! I need to try that so so bad. Thanks Angela and have an amazing weekend!

Awwww I love the Outback! My then boyfriend, now husband and I used to go there all the time on dates, but our local Outback has since closed :(
SO SAD!

UNO’s veggie burgers for Friday night dinner..I am long overdue for baking something…maybe oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips or baby m&ms, possibly banana bread, or fudge brownies? I am holding out on baking cupcakes/cake for my annual valentines day funfetti.

Would you care if your former friends from high school knew about or read your blog? Do your friends read it now? I would think it would be kind of weird to be so “exposed”. But I guess if your being real, it’s fine.

Great meal choice! Burgers with ketchup are my fave! (and pickles sometimes)

This weekend we are headed to eat at The Blue Nile, an Ethiopian restaurant here in Houston. I have never been there but the reviews are great. Our friends are adopting from Ethiopia and were encouraged, by their agency, to start experimenting and becoming familiar with Ethiopian cuisine. I am so pumped to do something out of the ordinary!! What in the world should I get???

My friends and family know about my blog. Some of my old coworkers don’t although if they found it I am not sure I would care too much.

When eating out I usually opt for a veggie or black bean burger. I save the real beef burgers for home when Brandon is grilling. There is just something about a home grilled burger that cannot be beat! :)

Have a great weekend!

My sister and I went to Outback last night! She had a giftcard, I got the glazed pork tenderloin, it was super yummy and I love that brown bread!

I believe I now need outback for dinner!

I went to Outback about a month ago & thought of you :) I actually always think of you when we go there now. I know how much you guys like it. I LOVE the bread too..I usually ask for a loaf to take home with me..ha! Craig always gets embarrassed when I ask for a loaf to go, but it’s just THAT good that I have to :)
& I found out a bunch of people from high school were reading my blog (when I actually did blog ;) ) & some even emailed me to say how much they liked it. I thought it was pretty cool!

LOVE date nights! Especially when Ryan asks me out on one [rather than it just happening]- keeps it fun :D We were thinking of going out to dinner last night but since getting a pup, I’ve been attached to him and feel bad leaving him home alone… Ryan said I can’t put him in my purse so we just cuddle on the couch ;P

My fave burgers are veggie or turkey topped with some lettuce, tomato, mustard, and bacon- mmm! Although, we made lean beef burgers the other week and they were fab [I don’t really like the texture of red meat]…

I am so simple when it comes to burgers: cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions and ketchup. Although the other day I had a burger with maple smoked cheddar and I nearly fell out of my chair. That’s my new fave. :-P

I’m just starting to figure out which people in my “real life” I want to read my blog. Is it weird that I’m more comfortable sharing with perfect strangers than people I actually know?
