I had my favorite running buddy with me yesterday. Billy was feeling well enough to run some slow miles with me and saved me from the treadmill. We did 7 miles together and found a cool new street to run on that was lined with trees and we only saw 4 cars the whole way (once we got off the busy road), it was perfect.
I came home from work grumpy and not feeling so good but the run transformed me back into my overly perky self.
I got home and put 3 more bobbi pins into my hair (my key to not only refraining from washing my hair but also not re-styling it) and headed off to teach my first BYU spin class.
HOLY COW did I miss teaching spin. I don’t know how I went so long without it. This is going to be a good good time (let’s see if I am saying that after my 6 a.m. class today). I will include my playlist in the next post.
After I got home from spin, I cooked dinner (my idea of cooking dinner is getting out ingredients and warming them up). Tacos were on my brain for the previous 8 hours and we had all the ingredients.
I finished my four as Billy was taking his his last bite on his second. This doesn’t even surprise him anymore like it did when we first started dating. He is used to me watching him finish his meal.
We were out of more tortillas and so I used the leftovers to make a salad and luckily had my favorite cilantro dressing in the fridge to add to it.
I actually have no idea how this bag has survived for this long in my sock drawer but I had to get my fruit in for the night somehow.

i got my sweat on this morning with a five mile run. i actually put a post-it note over the time/distance monitor on my treadmill and just ran to have FUN. i did my long run yesterday (7 miles, as i’m training for my very first half marathon in may!!!) and still wanted to run today before an orientation at my new job :)
i LOVE chocolate, but honestly my favourite candy is anything fruity. chocolate can get a little boring sometimes, but when candy comes in the shape of a fish and berries and animals and every other shape imaginable, it’s more FUN!

After a not so healthy day yesterday, I woke up feeling gross and decided to push myself to an uncomfortable mile and ended up running a mile in 9:30. NEVER WOULD I HAVE THOUGHT. That made for a a very happy Brittany.
Spin is another thing I’d like to try and feel uncomfortable with for a while, it just seems so intimidating walking into a class of spinners and be unprepared!
