I was nervous to take these shoes out of the box because they are so pretty, but I was also dying to try them out. Saucony sent me the Endorphin Speed 6, which comes out officially in October, and after I get more miles in them, I’ll write a review. As for first impressions after 8 miles, they are fabulous.

It was a gorgeous morning, and I’m guessing two weeks from now, these trees will all be yellow, orange, and red.

I borrowed Brooke’s shirt for the run, and it is incredible. It was so light and cool on; I think I need more colors. No wonder she loves it so much.

After the run, we walked through one of our friend’s new home that should be done in a few more months. I wish every run ended like this.

The teens asked me to pick them up for lunch, and I couldn’t say no.

A wire from her braces popped out, so we went straight to the orthodontist.

Valene reminded me in the comments yesterday how amazing bolognese is, so I had to make it for dinner. I used this recipe. It was everything I was needing and more.

We didn’t have any soccer practices yesterday, which meant I had time to make some dessert, so I made this Apple Fritter Bread.

Beck fully approved!

Will anyone else be spending Labor Day decorating for Halloween? Just us? He’s going for a pirate theme this year.

——————————————————————————————
Any other Saucony fans? What is your favorite shoe from them?
Have any Labor Day plans??
What shoes are you running in today?
What was the last dessert that you had?
I run in Topo and Salomon shoes. I alternate between 4 pairs. Two for the road and 2 for the trail. My one pair for the road are going to get retired soon. They have 300+ miles on them.
My sister made us a peach pie last weekend. It was so good.
No big Labor Day plans. We will probably spend it getting our garden shed cleaned out and ready for winter and hopefully on the lake: waterskiing and wake surfing.
I can not wait to see how Andrew pulls off the Pirate theme
Yay!! You got your pasta!
I recently switched to Saucony bc I feel like New Balance changed something and it was aggravating my achilles.
Labor Day we plan on getting together with family and just hang out.
I had dessert last night bc my husband wanted a treat after replacing our garbage disposal so he got me a pumpkin pie blizzard.
PS – popped wires on braces are the worst, always happens on a day where there is no time to get to the Orth.
We’re going to Portland, Maine for a little getaway this weekend (just one night but also just me and my husband, so feels extra special). Should be fun!
Hokas are my go-tos now. Seem to keep my back and knees happy!
My mom made whoopie pies yesterday 🙂 My family is spoiled by her baking mastery!
I love the endorphin speeds, but mine are an older version. My favorites right now are the Nike Vomero, Vomero Plus and Brooks Ghost Max. OMG, that apple fritter bread looks amazing…I must make this very soon.
I am a huge Saucony fan. Today I will be running in the Endorphin speed trainers. I used to over pronate, and they have some great stability shoes.
Ha ha…. I love that you guys will be putting up Halloween stuff this weekend. We’re heading up to Lake Arrowhead with the family tomorrow. We love going up there, and my brother-in-law just finished re-building his dock, so that’ll be super nice. But first I need to go to Costco and the grocery store, do laundry, all the stuff that needs to happen before a weekend in the mountains.
So fun to pick the big kids up for lunch. Always fun to treat them to a little treat.
Have a great day Janae
I wore new balance 880 today but wear saucony endorphins for speed work!
Love the fun lunch!
I work Labor Day weekend so am using actual Labor Day for my long run.
Happy Friday Eve, Janae! I haven’t seen any Halloween decorations out in our neighborhood yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are out by the end of Monday.
I wear Saucony Excursion trail shoes and ran in Brooks Glycerins this morning.
We have company coming in today through Labor Day. Trip to Nashville on Saturday and lots of family time before and after.
The last dessert I had was homemade ice cream. The last dessert I made (haven’t tasted yet) was salted caramel brownies with Hershey frosting and salted toffee bits.
My favorite running shoes right now are the Hoka Mach 6, you could wear it for a speed session or a long run. Also one of the few Hoka shoes that runs narrow. Typically they are far too wide for me!
When I was a kid my mom and I would go for a walk and walk into houses under construction (!) We would just walk into them when it was just the wood frame. I believe they call this trespassing nowadays haha So much fun though to imagine the final product.
Gosh those shoes really are gorgeous. It would take me 3 minutes though before they’d be dirty, hah.
I have the Saucony Endorphin Speeds and they really do make me feel speedy. Today was a trail run so wore the NorthFace Altamesa. Nice and cushy 🙂
It’s also fun to see the friendship between Brooke and Knox. I have a step brother that is one month younger than me and your kids are almost the age when my brother and I met. It’s fun to have the friend crossover and someone to have your back through those teen years!

welcome!
