15 Things.

1. Andrew joined me for my 6 miles @ 8:33 average pace on Saturday, and we decided to try and race up this .57 mile segment that hurts every muscle in my body. It got me the closest I’ve come to my PR since 2023 on this segment, which means next time, I have to go for a PR;). Along our run, we also ran for a few minutes with a 70-year-old woman who was going at quite a good pace and told us she runs 3.1 miles FOUR times a week. She is goals.

2. I would have fallen backwards if I attempted to bike up this hill.

3. Beck had his first soccer game, and he scored a goal. He worked so hard out there to get it, and I’m guessing that’s partly because Andrew told him he would pay him $10 if he did;)

4. We then got to cool off at the ice rink.

5. Skye had her first official team play. Girlfriend is getting so fast out there… now to work on stopping;)

6. Andrew’s parents came to watch and brought Beck his favorite animal, a giraffe (Giraffe’s Can’t Dance brought his love for giraffes about).

7. 2034 Olympics are on her mind…

8. Brooke’s game was next, and they played so so well in 95°F weather.

9. Knox did so well at his football game (he plays right offensive and defensive guard and some special teams), and my MIL gave me one of these, and it was delicious. Buying more asap.

10. My mom sent me this video of the best team player out there:
11. We had Crepe Sunday (this crepe maker is supreme).

12. We sat on the porch and watched the rainstorm. We needed this storm so badly… Our mountains have been on fire because it has been so dry here.

13. We read some inspiring hockey stories.

14. Brooke gave Max a bath, blow dried his hair, and put her old robe on him;)

15. A snake was on our porch and some of us were more afraid than others.

Awww. What a great feel-good story about the hurdler!
I would be a hard pass on the snake, but my son would be all over it.Our province has some out-of-control fires, but we’re supposed to get some rain from Hurricane Erin today. Not enough to quash the fires, probably, but every little bit is crucial now.
The weekend was all about getting things back in order after being away for a week. Lots of laundry and re-packing for my daughter who headed back to camp as a leader. School doesn’t start for us for another 1.5 weeks. I guess the most memorable thing was jumping off a bridge into a local canal. Last time, I just watched the kids but this time I jumped! I was very proud of myself 😉

Every drop counts at this point. Sending good luck to your area. Elisabeth, I am SO proud of you. You are inspiring me to jump in more! Where were you guys for a week? It does feel so good to get everything back in order:). Have a beautiful day!
We were just in New Brunswick (one province over from where I live in Nova Scotia) visiting my parents. But my husband was out of town on a work trip, so I was solo with my kiddos + two of their friends (their dad passed away two years ago, very tragically, and so we try to include them in fun family activities as we’re able; they’re the sweetest two teen boys EVER).
Wow! What a weekend!
I hope Beck is still on a high from scoring a goal!
Max in that robe is so funny and adorable!!
I wish large paved hills had percent gradients listed so I can equate it better with cycling routes.
My weekend was fun and I kept my friends dogs alive. Big win!
There maybe was an incident that I should probably text you about than type on the internetz.
He’s told everyone we have come across about his goal so I am guessing that high is still happening! I DO TOO. It would make me feel more hardcore. The stress of keeping the dog alive and well would be a lot for me, congrats on a successful weekend! TEXTING YOU NOW!
Anytime I feel like I have a busy weekend I just need to remember what it would be like to have twice as many kids. I dont know how you keep track of it all!
We had back to school haircuts, daughter had her first job interview and we enjoyed an end of summer/Sweet 16 pool party complete with pizza and ice cream cake.

But teenage years are infinitely busier! I don’t, Andrew does haha. The weekends where he is working I almost explode! Ahhh let me know if she gets the job and that pool party sounds perfect. Have a beautiful day, Valene!
Max in the robe is too cute!
Sounds like such a fun sports Saturday! I often miss those days.
We had a fairly low key weekend, which is fine with me. We did (finally) order a new couch, and we are so excited! It has storage ottomans, is super comfy, and we actually broke away from our traditional neutral color and went with sort of a denim blue. Our youngest son is so proud of us for that, ha ha.
Heading out for a quick run, before the heat hits.
Have a great day Janae
Hahah right?? He was so proud of himself. YAY for your new couch. You’ll have to post it and how fun to try something new! I hope it was a pain free run. Thanks Wendy, you too!
RX bars are so good!
My mom is 81 and she runs 3-5 miles about four times a week. She still runs Hood to Coast on our family and friends team.Max looks extra cute all showered up and in the robe!

Are you kidding me?! That is absolutely incredible. I want to meet your mom! Haha he was so cute I couldn’t handle it. Have a beautiful day, Kelly!
We went up to Squamish played in creeks as it wasn’t over r0 degrees celsius. Had a patio lunch. Sunday we did the dog festival where we saw a frenchie race lol. Followed by the beach. We are wiped now lol
so many sports! I love trying to keep up with all of you! I love the brown sweatshirt you have on – can you tell us about it? (I know…the one time you don’t tell us….)

welcome!
