Siletnish Saturday + Last 20

(Shirt, pants, shoes)

Not sure how we lucked out with non-slippery roads/trails.

6 mile warm-up and then 3 x 3 miles.  The goal was to stay controlled the first 2 miles of each set and then speed up for the final mile of each set.  Mostly on the roads except for the first 1.5 miles of the 3rd set on the roads.

Last 20 miles until 2/18

I found a massage chair.

Took Beck for a surprise…

To a tunnel haha.  He has really wanted to go to one.

And I really wanted to roam Target.

Brooke’s appetite is finally back so we went for ice cream.

And played so much ping pong.

Tell me a better french fry.  I dare you.

Thank you for speaking truth! Have the best weekend, Alyssa!

Wow. Great 20 mile run!! Watching the trials next weekend will be the best motivation, too!
The snow here is melting which will make for great runs this weekend. Snow/Slush/ice puddle jumping is a buzz kill during speed workouts.
You are making me realize that I don’t eat fries often. I have no counterpoint to your fry declaration.
Three things:
Reading Romantic Comedy (loving it!)
Ship the Tadej jersey back to Slovenia
Medium easy run

Come watch with us next weekend, Molly! So happy the snow is finally melting for you guys. I need you to try a few different sources of fries and get back to me. Tell Tadej’s father hello and let me know what book next time we chat!

McDonald’s fries dipped in sweet and sour sauce with extra salt,……so bad for you but sooooo delicious.
3 things: long run, planting my last tulip bulbs (i know I’m late), and cleaning the mud from yesterday and today’s run from my exercise mats so I can use them tomorrow.
I’m glad Brooke is feeling better. Ice cream is a great way to celebrate.

Well, now I have to go back today and get the sweet and sour sauce. You are ahead of me with the tulip bulbs. Thanks Lee and good luck with the mud!

Yay for Brooke feeling better! And ha ha… Surprising Beck with a trip to a tunnel. So fun.
Awesome job on the last 20 miler! Tapper time.
We are having summer like temps for the next few days, so I will be doing everything and anything outside!
Tonight is a gala for my hubby’s school, so we get to get all fancy. But 1st a quick run, long walk with the dog, and Pilates.
Have a great Saturday and peaceful Sunday

today..I had a plan, and well I’m planning on the week and the what is left of this weekend..
decided to spend more time on me learning about me….so that’s become my focus…so exploring being a forgettable 65 year old….and researching about the changes, and why I can’t pretend to still be 18….or even 50..

Way to rock your last 20! Three things around here:
1. first real long workout of Boston buildup: 16 miles with 1, 2, 3, 2, 1 miles at marathon pace with 5:00 jogs. I’m following your lead and eating SO MUCH MORE than I used to and it’s amazing.
2. Target roaming, sans kids. Also amazing, just in a different way.
3. Anne with an E with my youngest (11 years old). Anne’s my hero!
