It was our first run/ride together again since the broken fibula. The ER orthopedist told him he wouldn’t be able to ride a bike for a year due to the break, and look at him go… it’s only been ten weeks.
Our talks while we run/ride together are my absolute favorite.
It felt fun to end a loop at precisely 1 hour.
Brooke left to go visit her dad. Between lines and traffic, the check-in desk told us there was no way we would make it to the gate on time. We asked them if we could try and we sprinted a half mile (not exaggerating… the SLC airport is nuts) and made it just in time.
Later on we made some returns at the mall and our bank account was thankful.
And we had the laziest day after.
The box is still her favorite.
Using my face as a pillow is still his favorite place.
Just a few favorites today:
*These earrings. I love them dearly. My limit is about $35 for a pair of earrings, so these are officially the nicest ones I own because they are $35;)
*Knox gave me Exploding Kittens for Christmas, which is a BLAST. It’s our current #1 favorite to play all together. Also, this dessert… Oreos and butter for the crust, butterscotch, ice cream, whipped cream, and Oreos on top.
*Brooke’s grandma gave us Twister Unlimited; I’m calling it my stretching and mobility work. This game is challenging when you can’t even touch your toes.

Pre-pregnancy me could touch my toes without bending my knees, but that is NOT happening now, lol! So glad Andrew is able to be up and active again! This weekend is full of of some post-holiday cleaning and also some nursery prep- so exciting! Also going to try and sneak in some walks or Peloton rides, plus some Pilates- normally I prefer weighted strength workouts, but lately, my body has been craving more low impact activities. Maybe I can blame my lack of flexibility on the kids then (although you will probably be able to again after you have your little one;)! Seriously the biggest relief that he is able to live his life again. Good luck with the cleaning and your nursery… I am SO happy for you! Hi! What temp do you keep your hot tub at so that the kiddos (especially Beck) can get in? I live in Colorado and we have a hot tub and I’m not sure what’s recommended for my 4 year old. I feel like I need it scorching hot in the winter or I get too cold haha. Thanks!

Hey Jessica! Beck is never in for very long but we usually keep it between 100-102 (even though I would love it at 110;). It’s a sacrifice haha but we all love being in it together so much. Good luck and I hope you are surviving winter!

I get to work this weekend. Good thing NYE festivities don’t start until later in the day and that our friends offered to host us!

Wow that is some sprint!
I erm get myself presents throughout the year too lol but for Christmas I got cash, Chocolates, a sephora advent calender, chocolate baileys, David’s tea, a cordless kettle fairy lights and a spatula that looks like a work of art. I was spoiled. River got 3 stuffing and copious amounts of treats and a snuffle mat. I also bought myself a lululemon shirt and tank on boxing day sale haha..
Will run this weekend. I have been on Christmas holidays since Dec 21 and will be enjoying the last few days of break before going back to work. The days have started to blur lol!

Looks like a great Christmas :) today I am un-decorating , but going to keep our tree up for a couple more days. Our best gift was a trip to Florida. We are going to do a few theme parks. Last time we went my daughter was 3, so she doesn’t remember anything but she’s 10 now so we can’t wait!! So glad Brooke made her flight, that must have been stressful. All that soccer and running has paid off..haha and yay for Andrew biking already. Happy New Year!

Today is my birthday and I will spend it watching my youngest play for third place in a basketball tournament then a two and hour drive home, tomorrow my plan is to put away all the Christmas decor and reset the house, Sunday will be a day of reflection and Monday we will get ready for week ahead.
