More rain here again! It’s not snow like you guys are having, but sheesh, this really is the never ending winter. But we definitely need the water!
My sister and her family are in town for the weekend, so we’ll be doing lots of things with them. And hopefully I can squeeze in a couple of runs too. But first up is a big pancake breakfast, as requested by the 9 year old niece, ha.
I hope your long run goes well! And have a great relaxing Sunday.

More 🌧️ 🌧️! You guys do need it but it does get old… we need sunshine! Enjoy having your family there, that is so great!

3 things: first longish run since the half last Sunday, homemade pizza & scream 4 tonight ( avoiding all ads about scream 6 until I see it next week!), & hanging with the penguins!

Fun to see you and your crew on your run! Those two seconds running with all of you was a good speed work session for me :D

I can’t tell you how happy it made me to finally “meet” you! Thank you so much for saying hi, I was just telling Andrew about you and then I saw your comment! Happy Saturday!

I just realized you might be the perfect person to ask a question I’ve been struggling with!! We just moved to Utah county from Florida and my 5yo is dying to “go stand on a real mountain.” But anything I do with him I’ll have to bring my 2yo and 1yo along too. I was looking at Bridal Veil Falls because the path is paved but I keep seeing avalanche closures!! It’s so hard to know what trails are winter-accessible without any experience in the area—any you know of that are tame this time of year but would still help a preschooler feel like he is up on a mountain?! Haha.

YAY! So happy you moved here! Yes, the Bridal Veil Falls area is completely taken over by avalanches. Where in Utah do you live? We one time did Ensign Peak up in SLC with my kids when they were younger but I think we carried Skye? It’s short and probably pretty clear because it isn’t tucked into the mountains. I hope you are loving it here and what a winter to move here!

Awesome, I will have to check that one out. We are in Lehi!! We got here mid-Feb right before all the snowfall… my 5yo and 2yo were ENCHANTED by it so I can’t be as grumpy as I am tempted to be. xD So crazy to be in sync with the weather you describe each day after following you from Florida this last year or two!

That really is the perfect training route for Boston!!!

Have a super weekend! We are sneaking in runs and bike rides between our snow flurries plus we have SO.MUCH.WIND.

It felt like a condensed Boston course today! Hope the wind pauses for your rides and runs! Enjoy, Kelly!
