Silentish Saturday!

(long-sleeve, shorts, shoes, bra)

6 miles @ 8:35 average… Knox did the whole thing with me and the girls joined us when they woke up.

Hot chocolate season.

Colonial Days for Brooke at school.
Had a bunch of Brooke’s friends over after school to make caramel apples.
Watching the Red Bull Rampage makes my palms sweat. Skye learned some new bike tricks while watching.
Oops.

Took the dog on a walk. I chose my battles yesterday when it came to shoes.

Happy weekend.

Run, redoing the kids playroom (I’ve been putting off putting together the new furniture 😅) and a girls night with my friend to catch up. Low key weekend and I’m loving it!
Beck walking the ‘dog’ with no shoes…..🤣🤣🤣

Sounds like such a fun weekend! I want to see your playroom, so exciting! Have the best time with your friends tonight. Hahah I lost so many battles yesterday. Thanks Mollie!

Can you share your caramel apple recipe? I did them last year with apples from my tree but the caramel kinda dripped off. Yours look amazing!

Happy Weekend!

Tracy! I am so simple with them but they turn out great–> The apples must be chilled (granny smith are my favorites!) and we just use the caramel bits plus 2 TBS of water when you are melting the caramel in a pan. We stir it often when it is melting and then once melted we dip them in quickly and use a spoon to help coat them. We are pretty quick to put the toppings on too because the caramel melts fast. I hope this helps, good luck and have the best weekend! PS I love that you have an apple tree!

I did the Peleton ride that Andrew recommend. It was hard! I did get a PR and oddly didn’t mind the music.

Where did you get the striped shirt in your last picture? I think I need it….

Brooke looks super cute. And reminds me of Angela from The Office: Sometimes the clothes at Gap Kids are just too flashy, so I’m forced to go to the American Girl store and order clothes for large colonial dolls.
Today: work, run, dinner with husband and a friend

BAHAHAH I’m dying over that quote. Nailed it.

Happy work day, enjoy dinner and you are going to rock your long run on Monday!

Those apples look amazing. It finally started raining here so it’s probably going to be a Peleton workout for me, since PF has keep me from running for months. But I rediscovered mountain biking this summer and I love it. I love to see your kids out on bikes! I bet one day we watch Skye in those Red Bull events. Have a fabulous day!

Thank you, Tracie! They were so fun to make. I am truly so sorry about your PF. It is so so painful. Keep rocking the Peloton and I’m so glad you love mountain biking now more than ever. Skye completely agrees with you… she will be there one day. Thanks friend, you too!

Those carmel apples look delicious, and what a fun thing to do with Brooke and her friends.
The look on Beck’s face, ha ha. I too love Beck walking his dog with no shoes.
I slept in this morning, which felt amazing, so heading to yoga in a bit. Not sure if I’ll fit a run in or not. Then tonight is the Halloween party.
Have a wonderful weekend Janae 😊

I ran my first trail race today- a 25K and now I think I’m hooked!! Your apples (and toppings tray) look so good. I get lazy and drizzle caramel on apple slices and sprinkle toppings- still tasty but not as pretty :)
