Tuesday Tangents!

(shorts, tank, shoes ((code FMTIB50 for 50% off)), bra)

12 miles with Lauren and Jess!

Dr. Bennett (801)513-1078!  He has saved me from many injuries over the last nine years that I have gone to him.  My left leg felt extra tight, so I made an appointment to see him to get my muscles activated and my body aligned.  I left feeling so balanced again.

My mom walked the kids to a donut shop and the park across the street while I got fixed up!

We hung out at the park for a bit too.

Soccer was a big part of the day too:

I always bring the recovery tools to the field.

Let’s go over some tangents:

*I would like to call this picture: ‘My Luteal Phase.’

*Incorrect:

Screen Shot 2022 08 26 at 1 13 46 PM

*If you are ever at Home Depot and you see that they have giant skeletons, please help!  Andrew is desperate and sending this below message to everyone:)

*That feeling after a long run on the trails when you shower off all of the dirt and brush your teeth after eating a million gels and drinking Gatorade…

*These. Are. So. Good.

*Talking on the grass after a hard run with my running group is one of my favorite things.  We all understand each other’s crazy and love to go into every detail of the run.  Pic from Maddie:)

Candy corn, delicious or disgusting?

Annual question–> when is the proper time to decorate for Halloween?

-‘9/1’ – Andrew Baron

Have someone that you see for injuries/running maintenance?  Ever get deep tissue massages?

Have any tangents for me today?

I cracked up because I can definitely relate to your “luteal phase” picture. And now I want Cinnabon! :) Halloween decorations usually start over Labor Day weekend for us and I love it! Also, candy corn is DELICIOUS and I will not hear otherwise! ;) Have a great Tuesday, Janae!

I hope you get some Cinnabon soon! It really is crazy how much my body just craves sugar/carbs according to my cycle. We can all relate! Enjoy getting your decorations up and enjoy all of the candy corn. Thanks, Emily!

Ha ha ha!! Luteal phase photo :D
This Home Depot is nowhere near me, but https://www.homedepot.ca/product/home-accents-holiday-12-ft-giant-sized-skeleton-halloween-decoration-with-lifeeyes-lcd-eyes/1001519440. If Andrew can find someone in Niagara Falls to pick it up from the store, then he only needs to figure out how to get it through customs and home to Utah, LOL! I also saw it on Amazon.
Candy corn is the best. The end. Decorating? Hmm…about October 20th (sorry, Andrew).
My health plan *finally* got a sports medicine department, and dry needling changed my life. At least it changed my shoulders and back, but same thing.

Off to go see if we know anyone near Niagara Falls! He wants it SO bad. He might be willing to pay the extra cash for the Amazon one! I love that your health plan includes sports medicine now. Dry needling is incredible. I hope you get plenty of candy corn this season! Thanks, Corey!

1. Halloween decoration can begin anytime after July 4. But really after the last 2.5 years, celebrate any holiday you want anytime you want. Christmas cookies in April? Sign me up.

2. My friend Kira has an instagram account dedicated to her skeleton https://www.instagram.com/memento_maury/ – Andrew might like it.

3. You know I love candy corn. Especially as part of PB cookies. Or as bike/run fuel.

I like the way you think. A lot. Hahah dedicated to her skeleton, that is incredible. We will follow her. Really, it makes the best fuel for runs… I need to find that mix to send to you this year. Hope your day is a beautiful one, Victoria!

I sooooo need a Dr. Bennett in my life! I was given a couple of contacts from a running friend, so hopefully one will work out.
Um, candy corn is delicious, and people who don’t agree are very suspicious to me. Ha ha
I would try Amazon for Andrew’s skeleton. But will definitely check our Home Depot for you.
I personally think Halloween decorations shouldn’t go up until October, but there is a couple of houses in our neighborhood that will be starting on there’s this weekend.
Ooof… We are starting and insane heat wave today, for the next week,. Uuuggg. So I will be doing a lot of treadmill runs. Thank goodness for the Peloton app!!
Have a great day Janae 😊

Next time you are driving out to Colorado, stop at Dr. Bennett’s! The Amazon one is a bit more but I think he might be willing to pay it ha. HEAT WAVE–> noooo! It’s time to cooldown! I hope you have plenty of smoothies and frozen treats to get through the heat. You go rock that treadmill!

Yes yes yes luteal phase. I am craving sugar!!!!
Btw, thank you for starting to post about that stuff. I’ve been so much more intentional after downloading the fitr app. It’s really enlightening, my coach and I even discussed it and how to make certain phases count better!
I have the best chiropractor. If anyone is in Virginia Beach and needs one send them my way. He’s a sports guy and he gets it.
Candy corn 4eva. ❤️ I need some right now.

That makes me SO happy! It’s so good to align our training with our phases or at least understand why we perform so differently between stages. I am so glad you have an amazing chiropractor, it makes the biggest difference. I need to send you some candy corn! Hope your Tuesday is off to a great start, Mollie!

Lol! Our neighbors have that skeleton. They leave it up year-round. They dress it up for holidays – Mother’s Day with a “but first coffee” shirt – Memorial Day with flags and an Abe Lincoln hat! It always makes me just shake my head but I’m glad they’re enjoying themselves.

STOP IT… hahaha that is amazing! We need to be friends with them:). Hope your day is off to a great start, Julie!

I love candy corn!!! And my kids talked me into decorating for Halloween yesterday as we watched Hocus Pocus after school 😮

Our families would get along so well:). That is so fun! I hope you get plenty of candy corn this season. Have a beautiful day!

You know, I don’t really decorate for Halloween (maybe a few pumpkins or gourds), but I’m with Andrew on this one. It makes for a happy house when people get excited for holidays and make routine things (like random September weekdays) fun! They say that anticipating vacations can be even more fun than the vacation itself – maybe the same is true for holidays.

Reply

Oh that is such an interesting thing about vacations… I can totally see how the excitement leading up to the vacation and the planning could be the best part! I agree, it gets us out of the normal routine and everyone is so happy about it. Hope your day is a beautiful one, Liz!

I believe I saw them stocking those skeletons at our Home Depot last week. The box was MASSIVE!!!

Reply

Ahhhhhh we need one! Andrew is currently making phone calls regarding this haha. Hope your day is a great one, Kara!

Candy corn is so gross, I’m sorry! But I’m not sorry. I have had two amazing physical therapists I’ve worked with over the years, and every time I go I think, should I have been a physical therapist? Because it seems so awesome. But then I realize I might not like working on other people, I probably just like getting worked on/healed.

Reply

Don’t apologize, more for me ha;) There is STILL TIME! You could go to PT school. How cool would that be! I hope you are having a great morning, Tess!

Candy corn is the best! Definitely not just for decoration purposes.

Our neighbors have one of those giant skeletons. It is so big they keep it out in their yard all year long and dress him up for the holidays. Hopefully Andrew can find someone to pick one up for him.

I have a great sports chiro/physical therapist too – makes all the difference.

I hope you have plenty of candy corn this season.. it’s just the best. I LOVE that your neighbors do that and I’m pretty sure we will be too if he can grab one;). Love that you have a great chiro/pt… they save us! Happy Tuesday, Beth!

I love my physical therapist. It’s so nice having someone who knows all of your history.
Tangent: today a dog’s lead snap and began to attack me. His little chompers never got into me and I realized my pepper spray is no longer functioning. Afterwards I texted my husband about it. He immediately went out to buy new pepper spray. He drove around to find me and pulled up next to me during the run to make sure I was ok. Run husbands are just the best.

Candy corn is amazing, until you eat a handful and second guess why you ate it because it’s so sugary.
This is my thought process every fall and I still love it.

I think if Andrew is feeling it – go for it! I put up some fall decor at the beginning of September but don’t do Halloween until the end of September. Halloween is also my husband’s birthday!

And I don’t have a theragun but every time I see you using one, I want to ask – worth it? I’m so intrigued!

I go to a place in Draper, UT called Athlecare, they opened up a second location in Pleasant Grove. They have been taking care of me for somewhere around 5 years. They help everyone but specialize in athletes. They do have an instagram account under Athlecare sports recovery. Salt lake and Utah county people should check them out!!

I love Candy corn. I won’t decorate for Halloween until October but my daughter would start in August.

I like can do corn the Hungry Runner Girl way! Mixed with peanuts and those little caramel balls! We’re searching for the skeleton in SC for Andrew!!
